Abbiamo avuto un bel soggiorno al Diamonds Inn. Prenotamo la Standard Suite, Ensuite 3-bed camera che si trova al piano superiore dell'edificio. Una camera familiare molto elegante e compatta in suite grande per un gruppo di amici o famiglia. Ci sono tutte le strutture di base, tra cui asciugamani, shampoo e gel da doccia. Ci sono anche una caldaia elettrica d'acqua, caffè/tea, asciugacapelli e un piccolo frigo! Le letti sono morbide e confortevoli. Le pareti sono sottili e possono sentire le voci di altri ospiti nelle stanze durante il giorno, ma non è stato un problema importante durante il nostro soggiorno, soprattutto tranquillo dopo le 10 p.m. La posizione è molto conveniente, poiché è l'unica pietra che getta via da una delle famose entrate murali, un pub e un ristorante in tutta York Minster. L'ospite era anche carino e amichevole, chiamato a chiedere se potevamo ricevere un check-in precoce e era felice di accoglierci.

Il nostro soggiorno al Witching Post Inn non avrebbe potuto essere migliore. La nostra stanza era spaziale e molto confortevole. E il posto ha una grande personalità e storia. Se vuoi sapere le radici di questo posto, puoi parlare al padrone del paese, Pete. Ma più importante Pete ti fa sentire a casa, come fa parte della famiglia. Le storie, le battute e l'ambiente del pub sono così confortevoli che ti fa sentire come sei tra amici. E non cercare altrove cibo e bevande. Abbiamo cenato qui durante la notte di Parmo, e il cibo era fantastico, uno dei migliori che abbiamo avuto nella zona. E questo include la birra e il gin. Inoltre, ci siamo ricevuti per il colazione, il colazione pieno è delizioso e non potevamo ottenere abbastanza di esso. Se stai per rimanere in zona, fai un favore e resta al Witching Post Inn. Sono felice di aver scelto questo posto per il nostro soggiorno, e grazie a Pete e a tutti i suoi dipendenti per il piacevole e accogliente soggiorno.

This place was awful, we booked for 3 nights but checked out after the first night before breakfast. We took our 13 year old granddaughter for a break to York, but on arrival we were met by Jason who told us we had to have breakfast at 8am due to all the tables were already booked ( all 4 of them ) when I questioned this he stated well you don’t have to have breakfast! You haven’t paid for it, it’s something we offer for free!!! then was told where our room was. The room was filthy, the kettle, cups and spoons I had to wash before I could use them, the floor was only hoovered where you could see as under the wardrobe and other items in room was at least an inch in dust, both radiators in room were absolutely filthy with grim, dust and hair. The decor was dated with chips in paintwork, the sash window had a piece of paper folded up to I suppose stop the rattling. The only chair in room had a slash in it & my granddaughters bed had a tear in the bedding. And the tv remote was so full of grim and dirt that I actually didn’t want to touch it!! We booked the room through ******* so I called them before we slept the night and they contacted the owner who said it was the only room they had and would speak to his staff. We checked out before breakfast as I really didn’t want to go there when the room was so bad!! The owner did apologize and gave us a full refund but I then had to find other accommodation as promised my granddaughter a few days away. The only good thing about this place is location and parking!! But even that was not worth it.

At arrival we managed to get the key before the actual check in time. I called the number and the housekeeper very kindly gave me the key card and showed me how to open doors for later on. We were so lucky to have a family room even if it was just the two of us. We stayed in room 3 at ground floor. There was plenty of space and lots of tea and coffee and a small fridge as well. The bathroom is awesome, brand new with a huge shower and very clean. Only thing is the radiators in the room do not work so there is a heater. The room was quite warm but maybe it would be better to have a different heating system for winter. We like staying in Fulford because it's much quieter than the city centre. The bus stop is very close and busses run every 15 minutes. Perfect for us!

Abbiamo soggiornato qui per 2 notti e ci siamo davvero goditi il nostro soggiorno. Check-in molto amichevole e utile all'arrivo. La nostra camera era ben attrezzata con tutto quello che ti serve per un soggiorno confortevole e era molto tranquilla. Solo una piccola denuncia era che avevamo una stanza al piano di sopra e che era molto caldo durante il giorno e che durante il tempo si raffreddava a notte. Una breve passeggiata piacevole verso la città con tutte le cose sorprendenti da offrire York. Non c'è una politica di alcol nella vostra stanza che ha attirato qualche feedback negativo in passato. Ma è il posto dei proprietari, quindi è il loro regolamento e non abbiamo avuto alcun problema nel rispetto della loro decisione. La maggior parte delle persone beverebbe in modo responsabile nelle loro stanze, ma ci sono sempre alcuni che la rovinerebbero per tutti gli altri e i proprietari non hanno scelta, ma di fare un divieto di biancheria.

A traditional and historical hotel with a perfect location in York. The room is nice and the bed is comfortable. Though it is an old hotel, it is not outdated at all and makes you feel good. The location is prime and there are lots of restaurants nearby and it only take a few minutes to walk to different attractions in York. The only downside is that there is a staircase in front and it will take you some energy if you bring along a large luggage.

Le camere sono molto amichevole e il colazione incluso è in punto. È possibile avere un colazione inglese completo e tutto il resto sul menu finché è possibile completarli tutti. La posizione è semplicemente buona, a circa 10 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria e dal centro città. Tuttavia, in inverno, consiglio di entrare prima delle 3:00 perché c'è una foresta all'opuscolo e sarebbe divertente camminare là quando è buio.

7 friends stayed over night in the 8 bed bunk room, which is great, very clean and comfortable. A towel is also provided. Shared bathroom with another room, which was fine. Kettle, tea and coffee in the room. Had our evening meal , which was very nice then watched Gerry Cinnamon tribute, who was great. Lots of drinks, dancing and meeting new people. Breakfast is included in the price, full English or other choices. We all had a great time, staff were brilliant and the pub was decorated lovely for Christmas with the real fire blazing 🔥

I wasn’t sure whether to start with the positives or negatives …… on the plus side this place has an amazing history , and its location is brill - it’s set back up a teeny little alley way , that if you blink you might well miss. It’s quiet - even though located centrally it is exceptionally quiet due to its location. Staff are friendly , nothing is too much trouble and even though there are several rooms you do feel as if you have the place to yourself. The rooms are lovely - individual and quirky - very clean. However I feel the rooms do need more attention , hence the few negatives I have. The photos online imply the place is luxurious - they are very good pics. Please note there is nothing wrong with the rooms as such , they are adequate. However high end they are not. We had a mirror that had a strap as a feature - the tack had come out of the wall so the strap simply hung. A two minute fix - that hadn’t been attended to. The four poster bed had a stave missing at the top. The fridge was not the best - it did not keep items cold ( I should have mentioned this on leaving and forgot - perhaps this can be remedied for future guests ) Also the rooms were sparsely decorated - no soft furnishings, no pictures on the walls …… lovely original fireplace that could have benefitted from some dressing up maybe ….. I don’t know I’m not a designer it all just felt a bit bare. The bathroom however was superb , the bathroom itself did feel high end , it’s a pity the room itself did not match up. On a practical level - parking wise I would recommend dropping luggage off as it is quite a trek to the recommended car park at Mary Gate particularly with cases. In all I would recommend a stay here - the negatives I have are superficial , and nothing that could not be addressed with very little effort.

Il primo evento che abbiamo mai fatto per andare a Yorkshire è stato un benedizione totale, e il profumo di un fuoco aperto e di un cibo esemplificato ci colpisce appena apriremo le porte frontali. Ho fatto molti pub da solo, ma non a questo. Il cuore, l'anima, la gentile gente è solo una piccola parte delle cose che annunciano la totale tranquillità che il drago verde offre. Non c'è falsa “hi’ guauuys!” , nessuna polizia forzata per una validazione BS di una nose corporativa che sembra essere legato intorno al cuore della ogni giorno “rep servizio clienti”. Lavorare onestamente, curare le persone che vi trattano con rispetto, gentilezza e compassione. Come la maggior parte, i vostri modi saranno reciproci se mostrate lo stesso livello di rispetto!! Poi, dopo aver messo le tasche nella stanza, ci siamo trovati andando al bar per incontrarci con la musica in diretta giovedì sera, che era tanto autentica quanto una banda si sente bene. I fuochi aperti in tutte le aree del bar sono stati complimentati con il nostro piatto di condivisione di bicchiere. Di cui abbiamo goduto così tanto, ne abbiamo avuto di nuovo la notte successiva! Tutto incredibilmente ragionevole in prezzo. I cuochi, nessun scherzo, non erano altro che maghi culinari. Sapevano cosa faceva :D La nostra stanza è stata bella e calda per tutte le ore del giorno. Quindi se lei o la famiglia si sta facendo un bel lungo viaggio attraverso le valli, vi garantisce che sarete accoltellato per trovare il drago verde in qualunque altro luogo. Tutti mi hanno fatto un po' troppo bene, e questo significava molto, siamo stati completamente scoppiati dal nostro viaggio qui, questi posti cadono dalla linea di demarcazione. Quindi è importante sostenere e amare le nostre radici della casa pubblica come il drago verde. Anche! QUEL'ACCORPO È È stupendo! Solo, partner o famiglia, le sciarpe del drago verde! ✌🏻
