We had a room for 4, which has two beds and two futons, with a kitchen. The onsen was great, a few areas for experiences. The place is near the Main Street with lots of restaurants and the best soup curry restaurant is only 3 min walk away. The services by staff was also delightful, was a wonderful stay.

It's a clean, modern hotel in a walkable distance to the tram station and to the ropeway. The room is spacious, clean, and modern. Bed is comfortable, air conditioning and TV works great. Clean and modern bathroom.

I love it here. Facing mt yotei took a lot kf pictures with it. Its the best for solo travellers might come back here. Although far from hirafu and hanazono ski but theres a shuttle going back and forth for free!! I love the breakfast buffet also. Worth the money.

The hotel was big and a bit of old design. But they do keep all the rooms and facilities function well so no worry, ample parking space. They even have a room with all the amenities you can just take and use it, for other hotel in Japan normally this amenities are just a counter but this hotel they provide you a room full of comics, pillow, bathrobe, warmer, bolster and etc. Must book the hotel with their buffet breakfast, you won't regret. So much choices and they serve sashimi for breakfast as well, how amazing. Really enjoying staying here.

Convenientemente situato vicino alla stazione di Hakodate, al mercato mattutino e alle strade del cibo. Potrei anche raggiungere facilmente le attrazioni di Hakodate tramite il vicino tram e gli autobus. La camera era molto pulita e aveva tutto il necessario per il mio soggiorno. Il personale sapeva anche comunicare bene in inglese ed era molto cordiale. Grazie per il bel soggiorno!

Far more convenient than the Westin although the rooms are standard Japanese 4 star style. The room is only cleaned every 4 days but they empty the trash daily. Direct ski in ski out (unlike the Westin which is only connected by Monorail to ski in/ski out) and lots of cute little baby slopes to play with for kids below 4. Private instructors charge 10-15k per hour

Sebbene sia un vecchio hotel, può dire alla età dell'edificio e delle strutture.Mio marito e io ci sentiamo molto comodi durante il nostro soggiorno.

La stanza è molto pulita, vecchia ma molto pulita, che richiede un sforzo molto.
(a differenza di alcuni altri hotel sembrano nuove cause che sono ristrutturati ma non puliti e si può vedere polvere ovunque e sa che non hanno cambiato l'articolo se non sono utilizzati.)

10-15 mins walk from Otaru station, few mins walk to the canal and shopping street. Breakfast is ok and my kids like the bunk bed very much, overall it was a good stay! 😊

DDean MauriceWe booked this hotel for a special stay for our Christmas Day abroad and it did not disappoint. The rooms are cozy, spacious and quiet with very comfy beds. We appreciated the entry way with the closet and shoe rack. We also appreciated the shower with great pressure, the large sink counter and the Japanese style toilet. There was also a good amount of toiletries provided. We had Japanese style pajamas, slippers for the room, sandals to go around the hotel in and even slippers specifically for the toilet area. The room has a large TV and you can connect to it with an HDMI cable or screencast but we could not figure out how to screencast. The hotel primarily caters to Japanese so the important stuff was in English but the little things like the remote control and temperature control were not.
We booked our stay with the buffet dinner and breakfast and for our stay it seems that all the greatest hits for Japanese cuisine were out. For dinner they had a steak grilling station, a BBQ scallop station, a sushi chef, crab dumplings and all kinds of accompaniments. For the dessert they had an array of tasty sweets but we enjoyed the macarons and Hokkaido ice cream the most. The breakfast was equally fantastic with a miso soup station, all kinds of sashimi, black pork dumplings, fried chicken and all kinds of crowd pleasers. There is a juice station and a coffee machine that makes all kinds of drinks so we were very pleased with the meals. We appreciated the plates and small dishes that allowed for small portions so we could pretty much try everything. Some items at the buffet did run out and these were specifically the small dishes - it is worth going early for breakfast and dinner because some items are not replenished and I found quite a few of these very delicious!
There isn't much around the hotel other than a 7-11 and a small botanical garden across the bridge but it is definitely a hotel meant to stay in and enjoy. We went to the onsen at night and in the morning and really enjoyed the outdoor bath which was sea facing. At night you could hear the waves and see the stars and during the day you could enjoy the beach and mountain view. The onsen baths have a variety of temperature pools and saunas and good bath products. There is a machine that dispenses a few pop flavours, cold tea and mineral water in the change room. There was a variety of self care products available in the change rooms as well like toothbrushes and razors.
Our room was very cozy after our bath and we found that the temperature for the hotel was possibly centrally controlled and not adjustable according to Google translation. It was set at a balmy 24 but we did figure out how to turn it off and got a comfortable night's rest. I wasn't a big fan of the hard toothbrushes that were provided mainly because the toothbrush used a coating rather than toothpaste which makes them truly single use.
The hotel offers quite a few amenities outside of the onsen area but the onsen was the highlight for us. They have a lounge area with lots of seats looking out to the sea near the front desk, a separate restaurant from the buffet restaurant, a souvenir shop that sells drinks too and luggage storage. We aren't sure if there are multiple floors with laundry machines but the one laundry room we did find only had one machine so this might not be a hotel to do your laundry at.
The hotel is easily accessible from both the train station and airport. From the train station you can take a bus or the tram which would take about 30 minutes and from the airport there are some dedicated busses that will take about 15 minutes. The bus station and tram station closest to the hotel is Yunokawa Onsen.
This was a great stay for us and we felt one night here was perfect. There is a lot to see in Hakodate and had we stayed longer we would have chosen a more economical option but this truly was a special treat for us.

YYi ShieanOur third consecutive stay in Japan’s onsen scene brought us to Kitakobushi Shiretoko Hotel & Resort. Though labelled as a 3-star hotel, this resort is the very definition of an underrated masterpiece. From the moment we arrived, it became clear this experience would rival any five-star destination we’ve ever visited.
Our room was a slice of paradise—spacious, serene, and offering a panoramic view of the breathtaking sea. Perfect for a moment of calm after a day of exploring. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the window, with its infinite horizon stretching beyond the blue waters. The bath experience was equally indulgent, with Dyson and Refa hairdryers in the public bath area. The soap and shampoo provided in the public baths? Luxurious, premium products that they also retail on-site. A small but significant touch that elevates this from your average onsen.
Where do I even begin with the buffet? It was nothing short of culinary theatre. Imagine live cooking stations serving up dishes with the flair of a fine dining restaurant. From sashimi so fresh, it redefined how I think about lean tuna—the texture was almost reminiscent of beef!—to the incredibly generous portions of salmon roe. Each dish was top-tier, but the dessert station truly took my breath away. A unique pumpkin and sweet potato creation was the surprise highlight, and I couldn’t help but indulge in multiple helpings of the organic apple, crisp and fresh like it was picked that very morning.
For fitness enthusiasts, there’s even a decent gym—a rarity for many onsen hotels. Meanwhile, the 24-hour lounge provides a range of delectable snacks, all of which are sold in their store. And though the prices may seem steep, the taste makes them worth every yen.
The free daily scoop of Peter Beier ice cream was simply divine. Made with Hokkaido milk, the vanilla was already a showstopper, but the pistachio took the experience to another level. After this, it was impossible not to purchase their chocolate truffles—pricey, but easily worth the splurge.
The experience extends outside the hotel, where an outdoor foot bath awaits with a view that will make you feel like you’ve entered another world. As long as the weather cooperates, this is an experience not to be missed.
In short, Kitakobushi Shiretoko Hotel & Resort might officially be a 3-star, but in our hearts, it’s a five-star experience through and through. A perfect blend of luxury, nature, and comfort, it’s an onsen resort that deserves to be on every discerning traveller’s radar.

DDriftwood 2046Otaru Kourakuen è un piacevole ryokan di onore a Otaru, Giappone, perfetto per una romantica strada. Il mio recente soggiorno per tre giorni e due notti non è stato meno di incantevole.
Otaru Kourakuen, in una zona tranquilla, offre un ritiro pacifico lontano dalla resistenza e dalla bussola.Il ryokan si trova a buon mercato vicino alle attrazioni più importanti come l'occhiata al porto di Otaru e il porto di Otaru Marina. La camera con un bagno aperto era un'alta evidenza. La stanza era spaziosa, pulita e bellamente decorata, offrendo una combinazione perfetta di comfort tradizionali e moderni. La camera aperto ha aggiunto un toccamento di lusso e romanticismo al nostro soggiorno.
Il personale di Otaru Kourakuen era incredibilmente attento e amichevole, andarono di sopra e di là per assicurarci che il nostro soggiorno fosse comodo e memorabile. La loro calda ospitezia ci ha fatto sentire a casa. Il ryokan offre eccellenti servizi, tra cui Wi-Fi gratuita, servizio in camera e un ristorante in loco. Il pranzo era un piacere culinario. Ci piaceva la cucina tradizionale giapponese, che era deliziosa e bella. Il colazione e la cena serviti al ryokan erano alcuni dei migliori pasti che abbiamo mangiato durante il nostro viaggio.
Il nostro soggiorno a Otaru Kourakuen è stato una miscela perfetta di relax e romanticismo, e l'ambiente tranquillo, un servizio eccellente e un'esperienza di lusso lo hanno reso un'esperienza inoltrabile. Highlight of our room is the outdoor bath and kaiseki dinner to complete our Japanese ryokan experience. Breakfast was semi buffet style which was slightly lacking in choices & taste wise in my opinion. Location within walking distance to main street and hell’s valley.

MMarcHoDi recente ho soggiornato all'Hotel Emion Sapporo per 3 notti e, nel complesso, è stata un'esperienza fantastica! L'hotel si trova a soli 7 minuti a piedi dalla stazione JR di Sapporo, il che lo rende molto comodo per i viaggiatori. Ci sono centri commerciali e numerosi negozi vicino alla stazione. Si trova anche accanto al terminal degli autobus, che funge da punto di ritrovo per coloro che hanno prenotato escursioni giornaliere, un vantaggio importante per visitare la città.
L'hotel in sé è eccezionalmente pulito e ben tenuto (quasi nuovo), con un'atmosfera moderna e accogliente. Un punto di forza è il supermercato 7-Eleven collegato direttamente all'hotel, perfetto per acquistare snack o prodotti essenziali in qualsiasi momento.
Un punto forte del nostro soggiorno è stata la colazione a buffet (locale), che offriva un'ampia varietà di deliziose opzioni per iniziare bene la giornata con una splendida vista sulla neve che cadeva.
L'unico aspetto negativo per noi è stata la disposizione della camera: abbiamo avuto la sensazione che ci fosse parecchio spazio inutilizzato che avrebbe potuto essere utilizzato meglio. Tuttavia, questo non ha influito sul comfort generale del soggiorno.
Nonostante questo piccolo inconveniente, l'Hotel Emion Sapporo è una scelta valida per chi cerca comodità, pulizia e un servizio di qualità a Sapporo. Lo consiglio vivamente!
