have suttle buses from the kyoto station to the hotel. and I have to say the shuttle bus driver is so welcoming and cheerful. also convenient to go to sightseeing places by bus( around 5min walk) but no convenient stores nearby. the closest one will be about 10min walk

Dear Sir/Madam, I recently had the opportunity to stay at your hotel, and I would like to share my experience with you. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional design and comfort your property offers. Kengo Kuma’s architectural brilliance, with its use of natural wood, thoughtful lighting, and integration of art pieces, creates a stunning and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the materials, the size of the beds, and the premium linens were truly impressive. In terms of design and comfort, your hotel sets a remarkable standard. However, I did encounter several service-related issues that I believe could be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience. I would like to share these points in the hope that they are helpful for future improvements: 1. Breakfast Lounge and Sushi Area: The proximity of these two areas creates a strong odor upon entering, which can be unpleasant. Improved ventilation could easily mitigate this issue. 2. Food and Beverage Service After Breakfast: The lack of food and beverage service after breakfast hours was inconvenient. At the very least, providing a space for guests to enjoy tea or coffee would be a welcome addition. 3. Room Service Availability: After a long journey, I was surprised to learn that room service was unavailable and that only rice balls could be provided. Expanding room service options would greatly improve the guest experience. 4. Flexibility with Breakfast Hours: Due to the time difference, I arrived slightly late for breakfast at 10:10 AM and was informed that nothing could be served. Even my request for tea did not receive a clear response. Greater flexibility in accommodating guests dealing with jet lag would be highly appreciated. 5. Lobby Services: The inability to offer anything to drink or even host a guest in the lobby felt restrictive. This could be improved to make the lobby a more welcoming space. 6. Spa Experience: I was unable to experience the renowned Banyan Tree spa as it was fully booked. Expanding spa reservation availability would help meet guest expectations for this signature offering. In summary, while the hotel excels in design and comfort, the service offerings seem to be constrained by rigid rules and limited hours, which can detract from the overall guest experience. I strongly believe that adopting a more flexible, guest-centered approach would significantly enhance satisfaction. If the above issues were addressed, I would certainly consider staying at your hotel again during my next visit to Kyoto. Hotel was super nice! I loved almost everything. The room was very big for Japanese standards and the staff was very professional and fluent in English. Location couldn’t be better, right next to Kyoto Station and a lot of options for shopping and dining. The only thing that was disappointing was the breakfast. They divide it in a western and japanese breakfast. But the western breakfast didn’t really have much western choices. And the coffee was not good. This could be improved. Otherwise it was a perfect stay and I would recommend it. :-)

Hotel integrato con la stazione di Kyōto. Personale molto cordiale e servizi efficienti. Ottima ubicazione per comprare souvenir o altro, visto che che ci sono centri commerciali vicini. Inoltre, è molto conveniente per raggiungere qualsiasi posto visto che avete sia la metro che la stazione dell’autobus vicinissime. Camera molto pulita e confortevole.

Amazing new hotel (opened just in Sept 2023), low rise building, fantastic interior and design with Thai and Japanese elements. Very welcoming lobby with an escalator down to spa, restaurants and bar. Staff is very helpful, fast check in and the rooms are luxurious. We stayed in a suite which was exceptionally well decored, warm, huge bathroom with Harnn amenities. Food is excellent, breakfast has many choices - can definitely recommend to stay there!!

Likes: - Its in a great location. Next to the river where its a real delight to hangout down on the banks in the evening. Pontocho street is very charming to walk down. - The showerhead is excellent. - The rooms are bigger than in other hotels in Japan. - a delicious Japanese style breakfast. Dislikes: - None

I booked a premier twin with city view guest room in this Banyee Tree Group Hotel at Kyoto Sanjo district. The hotel location is very good and just slightly off Kyoto City shopping centres within a 5-10 mins walking distance, which is good for my family since we can do some walking exercise and looking for good japanese food everyday when we are going out without wasting time to find transportation and yet there is a sub-way train Sanjo station just right next to the hotel for linking up to other scene spots and even to Osaka and other places as you wish. The quality of hospitality service is good and some staff are hands-on and can communicate via english. The room interior is warm and comfort to my family and I like its comfy bed and sufficient hot-water rain-shower and both my family and myself had a good sleep there. The Wi-Fi speed is acceptable and the room cleaning service is also above average.

La posizione dell'hotel è ottima e puoi facilmente raggiungere a piedi le attrazioni circostanti. Abbiamo fatto colazione una volta in hotel ed era okay. Inoltre, la colazione giapponese consigliata dall'hotel era abbastanza buona e non lontana. La stanza è abbastanza grande e il bagno con doccia funziona bene. C'erano una bellissima ragazza che parlava cinese e un bel giovane che parlava cinese alla reception, che hanno reso il nostro viaggio più comodo. Comunque siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti.
