Regno Unito: hotel con Colazione nella provincia di Scottish Borders

Sono andato con i miei figli, mid-20s e 16 anni, per una notte lontano da Edimburgo poco prima di Xmas. Era domenica, quindi era tranquillo. La distanza rende facile scappare per un'altra notte. Abbiamo andato principalmente per il bagno e la palestra, e non siamo stati delusi. La sala da bagno, la piscina, la sauna e le camere da notte sono molto pulite e ben attrezzate e tutto in ordine di lavoro.Le strutture sono aperte fino alle 10:00, e la cosa migliore è che potremmo usarla dopo aver fatto il check-out alle 11:00 il giorno successivo. La cosa migliore per noi è stata la sauna e i jet spa, così rilassante e fuggito per sentirsi fantastico. Il bar era eccellente, i Nachos erano fantastici e le opzioni senza glutine erano chiaramente etichettate, mentre la cameriera controllava anche la cucina. Le pizza erano grandi, ma non potevamo finirle e hanno messo il resto. I cocktail erano molto ben presentati, sembravano fab. Tutti i membri del personale erano utili e amichevoli. Le camere erano confortevoli e pulite, anche se la decorazione era lieto e i mobili erano un po' stanchi- guardando. Tuttavia, ci piacevano i piani di piano squallido. Le decorazioni di Natale erano bellissime, ma non eccezionali.

I ended up staying at the Cardrona overnight as I was my friends plus 1 at a wedding on the 14th of September 2024. She was also doing the hair for the bride, ect, and I helped her out. It made sense to stay, as we needed to get ready for the wedding after all the bridal partys hair had been done ! We were able to get earlier access to our room, which was greatly appreciated. I thought the wedding was beautiful, The waiting staff during the meal worked extremely hard, The food was lovely too, I'm veggie, and I was delighted with the choice, The room was also discounted for all-day wedding guests, too, the bar staff were great too !I did think the price for a large glass of wine was a bit steep ! £12 ! I must mention a few special members of staff who really left a good impression! Roxanne was wonderful, so attentive, and such a warm, welcoming attitude. Alistair, who was on reception overnight, was lovely & helpful, Bayler, the night porter was absolutely wonderful ! We were really hungry later after the wedding had finished, and he very kindly made us thee most lush sandwichs! Couldn't thank him enough, I needed to take meds and had to eat ! And last, buy not least the amazing, wonderful Carol ! The housekeeping manager, She had been wonderful the last time I had stayed at the Christmas party night I attended with my husband for our anniversary, She was amazing that night and actually remembered me ! I thought that was incredible considering the number of guests she must meet ! She's just lovely and so caring. Praise where Praise is due. I did feel the duty manager seemed a bit overwhelmed. There were issues with the lifts not working, and there were people with mobility issues, including myself, They stopped working! That's really poor for a huge hotel chain, and extremely inconvenient for disabled guests, well almost impossible for them to move freely through the hotel, as the wedding venue is on the 2nd floor! The rooms are nice, but could do with a wee makeover ! Time to decorate Mr Mcdonald ! And install new lifts ! And lastly, the lovely Fiona on reception when we checked out. My husband & I will be back again in December to one of the Christmas party nights to celebrate our anniversary again. We look forward to seeing everyone then. I hope the staff are appreciated by management ! As they are all clearly very studious.

An old but well maintained and comfortable hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was roomy, with a large four poster bed. En-suite was good. Main lighting in the room was a bit low powered leaving dark spaces but not something to worry about when a room is generally for sleeping. Breakfast choice was excellent and the cooked options were hot and tasty.

È davvero vecchio, rispetto ad altri spa e hotel di primi simili. Per esempio, ho soggiornato a casa Dunked, era notte e giorno. Il personale è grande, ma il posto ha bisogno di un sacco di soldi spesi su di esso. Nella nostra stanza 317 abbiamo avuto una televisione che aveva metà dello schermo più buio dell'altra metà, buona cosa che non siamo venuti qui a guardare il discorso. I grandi passi che vi portano avanti sono pericolosi per gli anziani, sono incastrati e in un modo molto, molto, ”nota il molto” cattivo di affari per dire il meno. Se rimarrei qui, probabilmente non finché il posto non sarà stato migliorato. Guardando ciò che ho visto dell'hotel, questo richiederà milioni di sterline da fare. Mi è piaciuto l'arco, la ragazza dolce è stata un grande aiuto. Per essere giusti, il personale è bello, ma le cose devono davvero migliorare sul lato dell'hotel.

La migliore ospitalità. Da entrare a controllare, la squadra è calda e benvenuta e niente è troppo difficile. Per cena abbiamo avuto Pesce e Chips nella zona bar, che è stato il migliore che abbia mai provato da molto tempo - e grandi porzioni. La colazione era proprio fantastica. Parcheggio gratuito e sicuro, Grazie a tutti per un ottimo soggiorno. Eravamo li' per guardare la storia della famiglia di mio marito e delle figlie. La prossima volta - portero' anche mio marito!

We booked Cringletie for our Intimate Wedding (just the two of us) and as we live in Kent we relied solely on phone and email communication. Kirsty the wedding planner was nothing short of exceptional with all her help and guidance with the initial planning, and upon arrival was so welcoming and calming! Kirsty and Leigh were our witnesses and made us feel totally at ease, the wedding ceremony was just perfect. We upgraded to the Selkirk Suite and it was sensational, so roomy and comfortable a real treat of luxury. The jacuzzi bath & shower were a welcome extra! The food served in the Sutherland restaurant was simply out of this world! We have never experienced such amazing flavours before. Hats of to the chefs! A special mention to Liam our waiter who was so attentive, polite, kind and knowledgeable. He even worked his shift on our 2nd evening with a banging migraine. Overall we were treated like royalty and the attention to detail was outstanding. A perfect, perfect stay. Thank you Cringletie!

Hotel was ideal for an overnight stay to meet up with family for the day. The hotel interior is lovely, with an informal feel. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The staff are really nice. Really close to everything in Peebles. Parking in Peebles is very limited so it’s great that they have a private car park. Lovely breakfast with quality food.
