Beautiful hotel with perfect view of a cathedral from our twin room. Hotel is in a historic building with lovely architectural features by the canal and the room we were in was a cleverly designed ”duplex” with the bathroom and sinks on the upper floor (ie loft) which made full use of the almost double volume ceiling in the smallish twin room we were in. The only drawback was that the steps were narrow and steep and would pose a problem if one had mobility issues. The toilet was located by the door next to the entrance but there was no sink for handwashing. Alcohol gel in a pump bottle was provided. There is a café, lifestyle / clothes shop and supermarket in the same building. Very convenient and the hotel's location was walkable to all the sights in Ghent central. The front desk staff were very polite and gracious and allowed us to store our luggage when we arrived before 11am, since check-in was strictly at 4pm. We were happy to find that our suitcases had been already delivered to our room when we returned to the hotel at 4pm. There are 2 bars in the hotel - one which is open to the public which was buzzing in the evenings and a guest-only ”Honesty Bar” (1st photo) in which hotel guests could purportedly help themselves to liquor and pen down what they had imbibed - but I never saw anyone in it ! This could be due to a lack of ice or mixers. Or glasses. 🍸

Hotel is 3 minutes walk to Gent train station. However there is no staff stationed at the hotel 24hours.

Ottimo soggiorno, personale amichevole, questo hotel offre un minimalista stile magro genre Moxy e CitizenM. Ho soggiornato qui l'anno scorso e ho trovato il rapporto qualità/prezzo eccellente. Il mio soggiorno totale è stato 9 giorni. Il bar e il ristorante sono eccellenti, e il colazione soddisfacente per un hotel europeo (vivo in Asia dove si aspettavano diversi pasti caldi, noodles e riso per colazione!) Tuttavia, ho prolungato il mio soggiorno per qualche giorno, e non trovo che si siano occupati troppo bene di questo caso. Prima un membro del personale dell'hotel mi ha colpito la porta e mi ha chiesto perché non mi sono verificato. Ho spiegato la situazione e tutto sembrava bene. Ma più tardi quel giorno il personale di custodia si è ingannato nella mia stanza diverse volte senza preavviso, apparentemente inconsapevole che la stanza era ancora occupata (perchè non c'è un pulsante con un segno non disturbo? O anche un vecchio pendente della porta scolastica?). Quindi, per favore JAM, è necessario migliorare i vostri processi meglio.

Hotel Carlton in Ghent offers a warm welcome, spacious rooms, and excellent cleanliness. The staff are genuinely helpful, breakfast is generous, and transport links are convenient. It’s quiet yet close to the historic center, making it a comfortable, great-value base for exploring the city for leisure travelers and short stays.

Great location with everything within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options. Service was outstanding. As we had to check out at 4am on our last day, we informed the hotel that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the breakfast. The team kindly prepared a takeaway food bag for us, which was a very thoughtful gesture.

Parking 20 EUR was niet vermeld en is verplicht, aangezien geen publiek parkeerplaats buiten het terrein. Een gratis ijsje werd aangeboden, maar smolt voor het papiertje was verwijderd... Badkamer heel klein, je kan je tanden poetsen vanop het toilet. Kille lounge(?) voor een Marriott. Punten gingen toegevoegd worden op mijn lidkaart. Niks gezien. Alles koel en zakelijk.

Le camere non sono le stesse che mostrano il sito. Situato a 100 metri da Hotel de Flandre, al lato opposto. Il ricevitore ha detto che ci avrebbe camminato a buon agio verso l'altro edificio dell'hotel chiamato City Garden Hotel. È più un motel come un hotel. Le scale sono molto slippere quando piove, se si sceglie di non usare l'ascensore. Le camere non sono ben mantenute, le bolle leggere non funzionano, la sicurezza non funziona in una stanza, o la bassa batteria nell'altra stanza è cambiata. Noi l'abbiamo riferita alla ricezione, offerto di cambiare una stanza, questa volta non c'è una porta igienica?? !!! E molti diete e capelli qui n là ... La vostra esperienza, onestamente, è un po' deludente per quanto avete pagato, quindi non è un buon valore per i soldi.

La camera era discreta. Avevamo bisogno di biancheria extra e due gentili membri dello staff sono venuti subito a prepararci il letto aggiuntivo. Tuttavia! Siamo arrivati ​​con una conferma di prenotazione per 2 adulti e 1 bambino. La loro conferma indicava 2 persone, quindi la camera che ci hanno assegnato era troppo piccola. Ci hanno detto che avevano un'altra camera per 3 persone, ma con un supplemento di 30 euro. Al momento abbiamo semplicemente accettato e pagato, dato che c'era una lunga coda dietro di noi e la somma era minima. Buttons ci è sembrato un tentativo di truffa per estorcerci più soldi, non era colpa nostra perché avevamo una conferma per 3 persone al prezzo indicato. È un peccato, perché Gand mi è piaciuta molto e ci tornerò sicuramente, ma ci sono altri hotel tra cui scegliere.

Mani in basso la migliore vista dalla stanza! Prenotato un'altra notte perché ho avuto una buona impressione e esperienza - vorrei aver soggiornato più a lungo! Il letto è comodo e la stanza è ...sumy abbastanza. Le donne in frontiera erano eccezionali per il fatto che avevo problemi di check-out e check-in. Il personale è in generale fantastico! L'unica camera da bagno è abbastanza ben mantenuta. Per una piccola quantità ci sarà tutto quello che avrete bisogno: da asciugamani, lavanderia/siccato, tè/caffè/birra/snacks, magazzinaggio dei bagagli, ai kayaks. Non dovevamo usare la cucina comune, ma sembrava dotata. Non può andare male con la posizione - tutto è in arrivo e l'ar è semplicemente bella giornata/notte.
