Downtown Miami / City Center

Ocean Pointe Suites at Key Largo

Find somewhere else that has staff trained in and practised in customer service. This is a scam company. This shambles of a company offer no way to contact them unless you want to book. We received shocking customer service at this hotel. Staff were rude to the extent they rolled their eyes when we spoke. The supposed front dest supervisor talked and shouted over us and so escalated the situation. They appear to have no training. They also do not respond to Messenger or emails. We paid a 500 dollar damage deposit by card. This then showed as a payment and reduced the availability of funds in my account. No damage done. We were told 3 - 5 days for them to 'refund' this. We were offered the option of paying in cash. However when we returned to this 'hotel' after 14 days because no refund had been received, the supposed supervisor insisted that there is no option for cash payments or refunds despite the fact we were offered this when we stayed. This supposed supervisor spoke at a million miles per hour and seemed unable to understand that the rules of conversion are turn taking. They couldn't understand why we got so angry when not allowed to explain our position. We stayed at another hotel who applied a damage deposit of 100 dollars for a far superior hotel. This wasn't 'taken' and had no impact on availability of my funds. We were told by Seacoast that they had not taken the payment and it was the fault of our bank. Having now contacted my bank it is clearly Seacoast who are fault as they DID NOT reverse this requested payment. My bank are now chasing Seacoast. I would give this hotel 1*. Rooms were also not as clean as they should be. The foyer of the hotel is nice. It is what I call All blouse and no knickers.

We booked a room on September 12th through an online third-party service for three nights in Hollywood, Florida starting November 13th at Greniers Hotel. We received confirmation emails and brought our confirmation number with us for check-in. Our driver dropped us off at the address provided, along with our seven pieces of luggage, as we had just returned from a cruise. Three of these bags were nearly 50 lbs each. My husband went to find the office at this address, only to find out that the main office was a block and a half away. I stayed with our luggage on the side of the road to await his return. Fifteen minutes later, in the 90-degree weather, my husband returned, only to tell me that they didn’t have our reservation on file. Because we had already paid for this room online, we called the online booking agency to see what happened. They confirmed that we did have a reservation with this hotel, and we were there on the correct date. They provided us with a confirmation number, and my husband again walked 1-½ blocks to the office in the heat. I received a phone call from him several minutes later, telling me that the hotel STILL did not have our reservation, even with the provided booking number. We again called our online booking agency, who was at no fault, and they canceled our reservation and returned our deposit. Two hours later, and still sitting on the side of a street in Florida with all of our luggage, we made a reservation with a nearby hotel, The Flamingo, got a taxi, and were dropped off at a new location. To our dismay, we made a reservation with a “sister” hotel that used the same office as the first. However, the hotel received our reservation and payment, so we thought all was well. We learned that Greniers and The Flamingo are owned by Hollywood Beach Hotels. After checking in, we were shown to our room near the office. As soon as we opened the door, we were in shock. The drapes on the only window in the room were closed, and the room was dark and dingy. After opening the drapes, we understood why they were closed, as the window overlooked a sitting area where people were gathered, chatting, eating, smoking, etc. The room emitted a very strong and unpleasant smell of pine cleaner, yet the whole room was filthy. The front door was filthy, and had fingerprints, grime and dirt all the way down the inside edge. A sitting chair near the door was covered with what looked like vomit. The bed had no lamps next to it, but there was one main light overhead with a ceiling fan. The television hung awkwardly on the wall with cords hanging. The kitchenette was filthy, and had layers of dust on all of the walls. There was an air conditioner in the kitchen in the only window there, and it was blowing the dust in the room to the walls. There weren’t enough plug-ins in the kitchen, so they had added an extension cord and power outlet over the kitchen sink. This could prove very dangerous if you had an item plugged in
