Cina: hotel con piscina nella provincia di Jiangsu

Siamo venuti a Suzhou appositamente per il weekend per assaggiare i loquat bianchi di Dongshan. Questa volta non abbiamo scelto il Dongshan Hotel, ma siamo tornati indietro di un'ora per scegliere il Wugong nel centro città. Era la prima volta che venivamo qui e ci è stata assegnata una camera al primo piano. La hall era al terzo piano, quindi dovevamo prendere l'ascensore fino al primo piano e poi fare un bel po' di giri per trovare la camera. Con due anziani, è stato un po' scomodo. Tuttavia, la mia famiglia ha concordato che l'ambiente dell'hotel è molto caratteristico e ha deciso che la prossima volta a Suzhou sceglieremo di nuovo il Wugong (e mi hanno chiesto specificamente di prenotare una camera al terzo piano) 😁 È la stagione della maturazione dei loquat e le due piante di loquat nel cortile sono perfettamente a tema. Now, I can sit here and tell you that we’re staying in an eco-friendly hotel that even though you’re inside its high glass windows gives you an outdoor vibe. I can even sit and talk about the saline pool, its state-of-the-art gym and list all the amenities; and I can even talk about the number of rooms and the fact that as we speak there’s an international summit going on here. Somehow that won’t speak about my experience here at this hotel. Elements (by Westin) Suzhou Science & Technology Town does have all of the above BUT what I love about this hotel is its Staff. I love the fact that they seem to be always be here. I somehow believe that they live onsite because they’re always around. In the morning, even before I enter the Salon I hear, “Nǐ hǎo Marsha” from the Breakfast Host, followed up by the nice lady in the Salon, smiling at me and ushering me to the coffee machine, while handing me my 2 brown sugar packs. She knows my morning habits so quickly. Not only that, because they knew Peter was missing from my breakfast table for a few mornings, they now signal to me with take away containers for Peter, to have his breakfast in the room. When we need to go anywhere the young ladies at the Front Desk (no matter which Shift) are always either asking us where we need to go so that they can call a CASH taxi to get us to our destination. One of them even came with me one day to the Bank of China’s ATM and sat in the taxi while I went in and conducted my business and accompanied me to the Campus to visit Jon-Marc. Yesterday, one of them even used her own Didi account to get us transportation back to the hotel and we reimbursed her (and walked away while she was trying to give us back our change because we knew she wouldn’t have taken the Tip as is their custom). How else could we have shown her how grateful we were for her kind gesture? Then there is Simon Jiang, the General Manager, who speaks perfect English and is always there to assist and offer suggestions of things to do and places to go. Simon was the one who actually explained to me that you can’t just walk into a pharmacy and get anything without a prescription. What I can tell you is that even though he is the GM he is always on hand assisting the staff with their work. Even though there is a clear hierarchy here, he takes off his jacket and assists in the kitchen, you can sometimes see him helping the older ladies bring out the heavy equipment (if needed) when they’re cleaning the floors, clear tables, etc. Or Alex Ju, the Assistant General Manager, who accompanied Peter and I to the hospital and stayed and spoke with the doctor and the international insurance department on our behalf (in Mandarin) to make everything a little easier for us. These people are the ones who have made my stay here memorable and I can honestly say that its because of them that I would recommend Elements by Westin in Suzhou to ANYONE who wanted a place to stay without hassle and with a host of helpful, courteous, friendly staff. It has been my pleasure having encountered such warm, friendly, delightful and gentle human beings.

Five-Day Stay in Nanjing Check-in Experience We arrived early at around 6 AM due to the difficulty of booking train tickets during the holiday season. Although check-in was at 3 PM, the staff kindly accommodated us with an early check-in for an additional fee. Accommodation We stayed in two types of rooms during our visit: Single Room - Spacious and located in a peaceful, quiet area of the property. RV Room - Situated near the camping area where families and friends gather around a large bonfire for singing, BBQ, and games. **Ratings** Staff: 8/10 - Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Shuttle Service: 10/10 - The driver was exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. Since my daughter has asthma and walking long distances is difficult for her, we frequently requested shuttle service between locations. This was especially helpful as ride-share drivers typically drop off at the entrance, which is quite a walk from the rooms and facilities. Breakfast: 10/10 - Excellent variety of traditional Chinese dishes. They were accommodating when my husband requested takeout. Cleanliness: 10/10 - Both rooms were clean, including the beds, towels, and bathrooms. As my daughter’s asthma is triggered by dust, I was pleased that the rooms were clean enough that she didn’t experience any sneezing or symptoms. We all slept well for the entire five days. **Things to Consider** It’s highly recommended to have your own car, as the property is quite far from the city center. If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this place is ideal. Activities include: - ATV rides - Fishing area - Playground (note: adults are charged rather than children, so it’s more economical for only one adult to enter) - Small animal area featuring rabbits, ostriches, and llamas (15 RMB entry) - Train ride (30 RMB) The coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making it popular for photos. The property itself is spacious and perfect for leisurely walks. There’s also a temple nearby, approximately 20 minutes away by car. **Challenges We Faced** My daughter developed a fever and experienced diarrhea during our stay. When I called the front desk for help, the staff member wasn’t very accommodating and suggested my husband go buy medicine. This was difficult for us as foreigners who don’t speak the language well. I felt sad and helpless, especially when we couldn’t get any taxis or cabs to pick us up. We wanted to take her to the hospital, but no cabs were available. However, the next morning, a staff member spoke with me who was extremely kind and accommodating. They even offered to drive my daughter to the hospital, which I declined because we needed to catch our train and she was feeling better after taking medicine. They drove us to the South Railway Station and thoughtfully gave my daughter bags and drinks. It was a very kind gesture that we truly appreciated.

Attratto dall'arredamento unico della camera, ho cambiato itinerario e sono andato a Zhouzhuang. Il parcheggio n. 2 è a circa 5 minuti a piedi dall'alloggio. La sala da tè dell'alloggio è ricca di dettagli. Ci sono piccoli ponti e acqua corrente, uno studio fotografico di famiglia e una piscina all'aperto (la qualità dell'acqua dimostra l'attenta gestione del proprietario). Il tè Kung Fu e il camino sono perfetti per chiacchierare. Gli articoli da toeletta, come olio di cavallo, polistirolo e spazzolini da denti, dimostrano l'attenzione del proprietario alla qualità (paragonabili a quelli per uso domestico, non volevo buttarli via, quindi li ho portati a casa). La colazione gratuita è servita da Laozaotou sulla strada (girare a sinistra dopo essere usciti dalla porta, accanto al Tempio Taoista di Chengxu). A partire dalle 6 del mattino, è possibile scegliere tra vari snack locali come wonton, xiaolongbao e noodles Aozao. La colazione è deliziosa. P.S.: La proprietaria di Manxingju, Huanmei, è una donna meravigliosa, bella e di buon cuore. È stato un viaggio meraviglioso. Non vedo l'ora di incontrarti di nuovo.

During my four-day, three-night stay, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and relaxed amidst the friendly hosts, clean facilities, and quiet surroundings. The only drawback was that the buffet selection was the same every day. Aside from that, the drinks and cocktails at the U-Bar were incredibly refreshing and delicious. I'd like to thank Joji and Kelly for their special attention and hospitality. Even though we didn't have a Korean host, they did their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Incidentally, a Korean host came on our last day, so I think Koreans can also stay here without worry. I'd love to visit again if I have the chance.

Consiglio vivamente questo hotel, è stato in assoluto il migliore in cui ho soggiornato durante il mio viaggio! La vista dall'hotel è semplicemente mozzafiato, ogni angolo rivela il fascino del Jiangnan. Le piante nel giardino sono disposte con cura e armonia; sia che ci si sieda nella hall o ci si affacci dal balcone della camera, si è circondati da un paesaggio elegante. Ogni foto scattata qui è degna di essere condivisa sui social! Avevo aggiunto in anticipo su WeChat Anbo, del reparto relazioni con gli ospiti, e mi ha assegnato una camera con una vista panoramica molto caratteristica di Suzhou. I cuscini nella stanza erano perfettamente morbidi, una volta appoggiata la testa non volevo più alzarmi. C'erano anche tappetini da yoga e una bilancia. L'hotel è situato nella zona centrale di Pingjiang Road, appena fuori dal centro città, e ci vogliono circa dieci minuti a piedi per raggiungere il Museo di Suzhou e il Giardino dell'Umile Amministratore. Questa volta per il compleanno del bambino, l'hotel ha messo a disposizione una stanza per genitori e figli, una torta molto carina e tutti gli oggetti di scena per il compleanno. È stato davvero premuroso. La camera è spaziosa, dotata di vasca da bagno e WC intelligente; lo spogliatoio e il tavolo da toeletta sono sufficientemente grandi. Frutta, bevande, spuntini, zuppa dolce della sera e colazione cinese e occidentale sono tutti inclusi. Se arrivate in auto, parcheggiate nel parcheggio di fronte, è gratuito. Servizio maggiordomo WeChat tutto il giorno, un ringraziamento speciale alla signorina Xu alla reception, il servizio è molto buono, premuroso e attento. La prossima volta che visiterò Suzhou, alloggeremo di nuovo qui.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is located right in the city center, making it very convenient to get around. There is a shopping mall directly connected to the hotel, so finding food and dining options was very easy. The hotel is very family-friendly. We stayed on the top floor, and the view was absolutely amazing — we could see both the sea and the mountains. Our child loved it so much. However, for guests who are afraid of heights like my husband, this might not be the best choice, as it is probably the tallest building in the city. Although the hotel looks like it has been open for many years from the outside, the interior still feels modern, clean, and well maintained. The rooms are comfortable, and the facilities are very convenient. Breakfast offered a good variety of international options. Overall, we had a great experience and were very impressed with our stay.

💯The lady who checked us in on Day 1 was very good, but the staff did not wear any name tag so I can’t remember her name. We found that she is the only one who was prompt and alert to guests needs. She helped upgrade us to a room that is more handicap friendly, as my husband was on crutches. She also helped us order takeaway using her private mobile phone when the restaurant on site was closed for lunch as we had no china mobile phone number to order take away. 💯The location is great by the lake and near the Tianmu Lake scenic park. 💯Outdoor hot spring staff on duty are attentive and polite. She even instructed the buggy driver to the nearest point to pick us when she noticed that my husband had difficulty walking. However the buggy driver did not pick us from the recommended point as she gave the excuse that her buggy driving skills are not good enough. Therefore we had to walk a longer way to be picked up, which puzzled everyone as there was more than enough space and a road for buggy entry…. ❌ Not enough staff, especially at dinner and breakfast. Food is slow to come at dinner even though we pre-ordered. Waited 30 mins and more. Staff are loud clearing the crockery, and had no sense of regard for those still dinning. ❌tour groups arrive in the evening by the bus load. The hotel did not feel premium with the crowd who were very loud. ❌the private hot spring in the room only had a fixed temperature of more than 40 degrees which made it very uncomfortable when the external temperature is more than 30 degrees. The solution was to mix it with cold water via tap, which was very slow and impractical. The hot water needs to be filled up by the staff, and you have to call them. ❌not suitable for those with difficulty walking or elderly. ideal to have your own car. 🤔Overall, I did not feel that I made a good choice with this booking. There are others private hot spring room near Yu Shui hot spring / Bamboo sea area for a better value and premium feel. 🫥I would also caution against the 100 yuan fish coupon - it is a discount coupon to offset about a third of the price of the dish, not a complimentary coupon for a fish head casserole. I did not receive the welcome gift so I can’t comment. The public hot springs has 4 pools.

I stayed at the hotel for one night on a business trip. The hotel itself is located on the outskirts of the city, but its standard is excellent. Spacious clean rooms with good repair, excellent bathroom. There is a refrigerator, kettle, tea, coffee - everything that business travelers need. Comfortable bed. Breakfast in the morning is quite good. I will stay here again.
