Spent 2 nights at Hotel La Croix on Oahu. Arrived quite early; around noon and figured I’d try to see if I could get an early check in. The front desk employee, Vince, recognized me from my last stay there a couple months ago. He helped my parents and I get into an available room for an early check in.  Room was clean and had a good view of the city which I wish I took some photos of. If there was one downside I think it would have to be the pillows. There were pretty flat and well used but clean. Definitely wish they were bigger and more life to them.  Overall the stay was great. No issues and the manager Craig also suggested some good places to go an eat at.

1) The escalator leading from the lobby to the mezzanine level was out of order. Given the makeshift barrier on the mezzanine level, it looked like the escalator had been out of commission for some time. Quite a shame from a convenience standpoint. 2) I had checked into the hotel after midnight because of a flight delay so I was pretty exhausted and fell asleep quickly after taking a shower, brushing my teeth, etc. I woke up in the middle of my first night's stay noticing a foul odor. After walking around the room and initially thinking it was coming from the A/C vent, I pinpointed the origin of the bad smell to the linens: the pillowcases, sheets, blanket. It smelled like a dirty wet sponge or clothes that never dried completely but were put back in the dresser drawer. I pulled all of the linens off the bed and left a note for housekeeping to replace them because of a foul odor. They did and it was fine the rest of my stay, but the point is I never should have had to do that. 3) Upon returning from my uncle's funeral Saturday night, to my dismay I found 20-30 cars that had been double-parked by the valets in the hotel parking lot. After circling the lot several times in the hopes of catching someone leaving but having no success, I decided to look into valet parking, figuring that since I was a hotel guest they would have something worked out. When the valet told me the valet fee was $49 even for hotel guests I was flabbergasted and declined. He instructed me to go back to the parking garage and speak to the parking attendant to ask about my parking options. When I got there, the parking attendant initially refused to come out of his booth to help me so I had to enter the garage, go all the way around to the exit and talk to him so that he didn't have to leave his booth. He pointed at a white car parked outside and told me to look for parking ”around there.” I asked him if that was assigned to the hotel, because I did not want to wake up tomorrow morning to discover that my rental car had been towed or impounded. He did not convince me that this was not a possibility so I parked the car where he instructed me to, took photos of the area, and went to the hotel registration desk to look further into the parking situation. The signage was also not clear. When I got to the registration desk, I was helped by an employee who seemed to have a French accent. He was definitely European, with very short hair. I explained what had just happened with the parking and he told me that the hotel did not have ”jurisdiction” over that parking area and he could not guarantee me that my car would not be towed. There happened to be another employee, a local guy, just finishing a transaction with a hotel guest so I moved one station over and asked him the same question. He clarified the situation and explained that that outside parking area (in the middle, under the ramp) was overflow parking for the hotel, and, as long as my hotel parking pass was clearly displayed, my car could remain there for the duration of my stay.

El Royal Lahaina es un hotel ubicado en un entorno ideal para parejas. Dispone de muchas actividades como clases de hula que vale la pena aprovechar o conciertos en un entorno relajado y romántico a la luz de la luna. En las noches es ideal tumbarse delante de la playa a observar las estrellas. Nos ha gustado mucho hospedarnos aquí. Mahalo!

Except for the location near the airport I wouldn't recommend this hôtel. It's dirty and noisy. And when the breakfast is included in the price of room, you get coupon for the restaurant. The choice of food for breakfast is very small. And it's either coffee (a very very bad one) or water (a very very small bottle). And then you are allowed to eat in the restaurant and you have to take away and eat in your room as there is no other places to eat. This breakfast is a joke :(

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel dal 29 ottobre al 4 novembre. In generale, il personale era gentile e la stanza era pulita quotidianamente con asciugamani freschi forniti che apprezzavamo. Tuttavia, diversi problemi hanno influito significativamente sulla nostra esperienza. In primo luogo, il bagno accessibile che abbiamo prenotato non corrispondeva alle foto, non c'era una testa doccia a mano, che era importante per noi. In secondo luogo, lo specchio nella hall era notevolmente sporco all'arrivo, con strisce visibili da un vestito bagnato piuttosto sgradevole per un hotel di questo livello. Il sistema a due facce usato per regolare l'acqua nel bagno era anche molto scomodo, e abbiamo avuto costantemente problemi con la pressione instabile dell'acqua calda. Un'importante questione distinta è stata la parcheggio, ho prepagato e prenotato il parcheggio per 5 giorni, ma alla seconda sera tutti i posti sono stati presi, e mi è stato ordinato di parcheggiare in un edificio diverso vicino. Questo è stato estremamente inconveniente dover portare le cose dal terzo piano di un'altra struttura di parcheggio e sprecare tempo supplementare.È emerso che anche se si paga in anticipo, il vostro parcheggio non è garantito nessuno dall'esterno può prenderlo. Quindi pagate, ma finite senza il servizio che vi è stato promesso. In generale, il personale ha cercato di fornire un buon servizio, ma le questioni organizzative, i problemi di manutenzione e il sistema di parcheggio mal gestito hanno gravemente ridotto il nostro conforto. Purtroppo, dopo questa esperienza, non posso raccomandare questo hotel.

中規中矩的度假村酒店，設施一流的，服務沒太感覺哈，因為都是自己服務自己~泳池多，還有沙灘池，海浪大，下不去海，房間大，洗衣房配備齊全~體驗感不錯。但2月份不建議大家來，影響體驗感，天不好，風大，有雨~

It was good had a great time but if booking through a 3rd party site be prepared to pay way more fees that were never shown to you. They did rectify the situation but nonetheless it is still the principle of the matter and I would probably refrain from booking here again.

Non consiglierei questo hotel a nessuno a meno che non siano un sonno molto profondo. Il rumore stradale è impossibile dormire con. Mi lamenterò presto e cercherò un rimborso parziale. Anche con le orecchie non riuscivo a dormire abbastanza. (Non c'era nemmeno acqua in bottiglia. Anche nei paesi con acqua potabile, le camere d'albergo ricevono le loro da serbatoi, quindi non è raccomandato.)

The hotel itself is better than expected; You can tell that they went through a massive renovation in order to give a chill vibes based stay (on the outside). Inside of the room, it’s definitely an old hotel… I liked the furniture, but the windows were too open for my liking (you get the feeling that anyone can look into your room); Not as much of an issue since we used the curtains! The bath towels were covered in hair (ranging from long strands to tiny ***** pieces) which I found to be disgusting. The staff were more than willing to switch out the towels (there was still hair on them but a little dusting off mainly did the job). There was tiny ***** hair pieces in the bathtub as well, but I washed them down the drain so no biggie. The main issue that I had with this stay was that you could hear everything that was going on in rooms next door or outside. We heard loud screaming and fighting into the early ams, and it took a while for them to stop. This is not the hotel’s fault, but if you do stay here, keep in mind that the rooms aren’t very spacious, you can hear everything, and there might be hair in your towels. Overall, I really loved staying here and found it to be quite charming. The view in front of the hotel is INSANE. Though I listed negative traits about this hotel, I feel that it’s important to give some transparency to readers of this review. Mostly everyone goes into a hotel thinking that it’s 1000% clean and perfect. However, for me, the negative reviews are what I look for so that I know what to expect. You will definitely love the vibes and views this hotel has to offer, as well as the friendliness of the staff who worlds here.
