Malaysia: hotel con parcheggio nella provincia di Penang

Ho prenotato un soggiorno di 3 notti, il check-in è stato piacevole e tempestivo. Una volta raggiunta la stanza, il water era intasato, il vetro del bagno era ammuffito. Il resto della stanza era ok ma c'era un odore di odore proveniente dalla moquette. La TV era come un modello obsoleto e la ricezione era orribile e poco chiara, cosa che non otteniamo al giorno d'oggi se non negli anni '80 o '90. La colazione era davvero semplice, dovresti saltarla e non sembra quella di un hotel. Ho fatto il check-out anticipato di un giorno e ho prenotato un altro hotel perché non mi sento bene.

Hotel minimal ma efficiente. Location pratica, praticamente alla fine di Chulia Street, colazione un po’ scarsa. Unico inconveniente dei vicini di stanza che hanno avuto la brillante idea di fumare in stanza ed attraverso i condotti del bagno il fumo arrivava anche nel mio bagno. Dopo aver avvisato la reception, attraverso una mail perché il telefono della stanza non funzionava, una persona della security è venuta da me chiedendomi di scendere in reception. Avrebbero potuto spostarmi direttamente in un’altra stanza senza la sosta in reception a mezzanotte con tutte le mie borse. Comunque nel complesso mi sono trovata bene e ci ritornerei.

My wife and I stayed 4 nights here recently. Highlights: - Prime location in the heart of Georgetown—walking distance to shopping malls, eateries, and key attractions. - Reliable high-speed internet, ideal for both work and leisure. - Complimentary parking with a convenient license plate recognition system. - Warm, courteous staff who go the extra mile to assist. - Breakfast spread was impressive—varied, fresh, and satisfying. On the negative side: - Room size is quite small, which may not suit guests seeking spacious accommodation. - Unusual housekeeping policy: rooms are only cleaned once every two days, which may not meet expectations for daily upkeep. Overall Verdict: While the location and amenities are commendable, the limited room space and infrequent cleaning schedule detract from the overall experience. For the price point, it falls short of delivering full value for money.

My overall stay at the hotel was truly wonderful! From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, the hospitality extended to me was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout my trip. One of the biggest highlights is the strategic location, perfectly situated with easy access to key attractions, and restaurants, making it incredibly convenient for both leisure and business travelers. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, providing a peaceful retreat after a long day of exploring. I especially appreciated the classic charm of the hotel, which added a touch of timeless elegance to the entire experience. Whether you’re visiting for work or holiday, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, great location, and overall value. I will definitely be back!

Stayed here for a third year in a row. Always chose hotel as its very near SPICE Convention Centre. Breakfast standards have dropped. There's a weird smell in the lobby and toilet. Overall stay good, but not a 5 star standard. Hope that you can improve as there are many new hotels building in the area.

Posizione strategica per ogni luogo. L'insonorizzazione è scarsa, anche se l'hotel mi ha assegnato un piano più alto, 19 piani per l'esattezza. Fortunatamente non ho problemi a dormire/sono un buon dormiglione. Penso che sia qualcosa di inevitabile, data la posizione nel caos della città. Come utente di trip.com per la prima volta, quindi ho ottenuto uno sconto sul pagamento del conto totale. La cosa che adoro di più è il distributore d'acqua. Posso riempirlo facilmente e rimanere idratato durante tutto il soggiorno. La bella vista del komtar di notte è un punto a favore.

The room is quite small, but it offers a lovely view. It's very clean, although we didn’t have enough space to store all our shopping bags. :) Mr Putasnen Nagadaran was exceptionally helpful and proactive. He made sure my early check-in request was fulfilled with a clean room ready upon arrival, and he even greeted me by name when he saw me in the corridor while he was checking other rooms. He took the time to respond to my email sent late at night—while I was out during the day—with detailed information about nearby parking options in case the hotel’s lot was full. We’ll be returning because of Mr Putasnen’s outstanding service, not because of the hotel itself. Mr Putasnen - Please take care of yourself and don't overwork :)

Le camere ei bagni erano molto puliti. Questo è un grande vantaggio. Tuttavia, c'erano alcune preoccupazioni. Inizialmente la stanza al nostro 18° piano aveva una porta comunicante con la stanza accanto. Sfortunatamente, i nostri vicini erano estremamente rumorosi e potevamo sentire le conversazioni della porta accanto. Abbiamo parlato con il direttore e sono stati così gentili da ospitarci al 19° piano. Quella stanza era silenziosa senza porte comunicanti. Anche il frigorifero non funzionava.

That said, if you’re planning a long stay or value spaciousness, you might feel a bit cramped. 🚗 Complimentary Parking A rare plus in central Penang—parking is free for hotel guests. The Cititel Express shares a secure multi-story car park with St. Giles Wembley, and parking comes with no charge for Cititel Express guests  . Do note, though, that a few guests have mentioned occasional hiccups with the parking ticket system, requiring a quick stop at reception to get it reissued  . 👍 Service, Cleanliness & Value Most reviews highlight friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, strong value-for-money pricing, and acceptable cleanliness standards for a budget-friendly city hotel    . While the facilities are basic, guests didn’t mention major complaints beyond the room size     . ⚠️ Noise & Thin Walls Light sleepers should be aware: the rooms tend to have minimal soundproofing, and sounds from neighbouring rooms or the corridor can be noticeable   

Innanzitutto, un sentito ringraziamento al signor Vickneswaran del team di sicurezza per la sua calorosa guida e assistenza fin dal momento in cui siamo entrati nel parcheggio. È stato incredibilmente disponibile nell'indicarci dove andare e ci ha fatto sentire i benvenuti fin dall'inizio. Con mia sorpresa, uno dei membri dello staff ha persino condiviso una fetta di torta e ci ha augurato una meravigliosa luna di miele: un gesto davvero premuroso! (Ero così commossa che ho dimenticato di chiedere il nome del personale). Momenti come questi hanno reso il nostro soggiorno davvero memorabile. Nel complesso, il personale è stato sinceramente cordiale e disponibile e ci ha fatto sentire apprezzati durante tutta la nostra visita. Ho anche allegato una foto del delizioso biglietto di auguri che abbiamo ricevuto dal team: un altro dolce gesto che ricorderemo per sempre. Grazie ancora a tutto il team per aver fatto iniziare la nostra luna di miele con una così calorosa ospitalità!
