Excellent services although felt that some mosquitoes were there. Otherwise it was a good stay. Breakfast was awesome and staff is super friendly and helpful. All together highly recommended to stay.

*Review: One-Night Stay at Kenilworth Hotel, Kolkata* I recently stayed for one night at the Kenilworth Hotel in Kolkata and would rate my overall experience as a 6 out of 10. The hotel has a lot going for it, especially in terms of its location and general ambiance, but there are also a few aspects that could use improvement. To begin with the positives, the hotel is situated in a very convenient and well-connected area. Being close to central Kolkata, it’s easy to access various parts of the city, whether for business or leisure. The immediate surroundings are pleasant and relatively peaceful, which added to the comfort of the stay. The room provided was decent—clean, well-organized, and equipped with the expected amenities for a four-star property. The bed was comfortable, and the room had adequate lighting and storage space. The bathroom was functional and clean, although not particularly luxurious. In terms of comfort and upkeep, the room met my expectations. One feature I particularly appreciated was the hotel’s gym facility. It was clean, well-maintained, and had a decent range of equipment for a quick workout. For a short stay, it was more than sufficient and a welcome amenity for anyone looking to stay active while traveling. However, one significant downside was the dining experience. The biggest letdown was the limited food choices, especially in the set dinner menu. While the staff were polite and the service was timely, the menu lacked variety and felt quite restrictive. For a property of this category, I had expected a broader range of options, including some regional or seasonal specials. Elegant and luxurious hotel located in a beautifully renovated palace of royal family of Kolkata. Our room was very spacious, beautifully furnished with old, wooden furniture. The huge bathroom and all floors are made of marble. The hotel is located in multiple buildings of the palace complex. Delicious breakfast can be eaten outside in shaded patio or inside in air conditioned restaurant. Every evening there is a live show of folk dance performers. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.

I stayed at this hotel with my friends and booked a separate room for myself. The hotel kindly arranged a room for me on the sixth floor with an amazing view of the city of Kolkata. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and polite, especially the gentleman with glasses at the check-in counter, who always fulfilled my requests and addressed any complaints promptly. They even allowed us a late check-out because our flight was delayed, which I truly appreciated. My room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The amenities provided were of high quality. The housekeeping staff were polite and clearly took pride in their work. The security staff at the main entrance were also very courteous and always ready to help — whether it was providing small change for delivery drivers or Uber payments. Special thanks to Raghunath, one of the security team, who helped us load over 60 kilograms of luggage into our Uber when we were heading to the airport. Overall, my experience was exceptional. The kindness, professionalism, and attentiveness of the staff truly stood out. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and colleagues visiting Kolkata.

Molto amichevole personale e buona posizione. Anche se 3 stelle sono un po 'alto. È piuttosto 2,5 stelle. Colazione è stato un buon inizio del giorno, continentale e indiano. La stanza era piccola e vecchia, ac rumore. Ma chi se ne frega; non vai a Kolkata per soggiornare nella tua stanza. C'era una terrazza sul tetto dove potresti mangiare e bere.Tutto in tutta la grande permanenza.

Good location for tourist spots but quite noisy if you don't like the constant noise of beeping horns from the nearby road (not sure if it is even possible to escape this in India). It did get better between say 10.30pm and 8am). The train (immediately outside the hotel entrance) screeches by but not frequently, boat engines can be heard in the distance but it's on a river 😅. It was a bit of a party boat on some nights (loud and late disco noise if there is an event). The noise stopped at around 9pm one night but went on much later on another night; if your room is close to the bar it may be an issue was wasn't too bad for me as i use ear plugs. The most irritating noise, believe it or not, is people shouting or having loud conversations in the corridors. The room is 3* and there is no safe for your passport, cash, cards etc. The pillows, bed covers and floors were't cleaned particularly well. I had to help myself to consumables from the corridor as they weren't topped up by cleaners. Anyway, a very brief stay could be a good experience, one night maybe.I am pleased to have had the experience and despite the shortfalls would probably recommend it as a one off unique experience, for one or two nights. The breakfast was very good with lovely river views and a chill atmosphere.

Hospitality was excellent. All the staff were very courteous, which is really commendable as now a days hotel staff are usually found to be inefficient.

Excellent experience! the hotel got all necessary facilities as per the budget. Quick service. Front office is prompt and service is as per five star standards. Food quality is awesome and one must try fish and prawns. Only suggestion is to replace mattresses if possible.

Abbiamo soggiornato a The Peerless Inn, Kolkata per due notti. L'esperienza generale è stata piacevole. La camera e il bagno erano eccellenti, puliti, spaziosi e confortevoli. Grazie speciali alla signora Neha, che era incredibilmente utile dal check-in e ha organizzato la nostra stanza molto rapidamente. Siamo particolarmente grati al signor Somnath, che ha davvero mostrato la sua ospitezza. “Grazie” non si sente abbastanza per esprimere il nostro apprezzamento per la sua gentilezza e il suo servizio. Abbiamo anche avuto l'opportunità di provare il ristorante Aaheli per la cucina bengalese autentica. Tutti i piatti erano assolutamente deliziosi. Il direttore del ristorante, il signor Sanjib, era molto caldo e ci ha fatto sentire molto benvenuti. Il colazione era molto vario e il cibo era delizioso, ma il personale del ristorante non era molto gentile e non aveva un atteggiamento benvenuto o sorrisi, che influiva leggermente sull’esperienza mattinale. In generale, il nostro soggiorno è stato meraviglioso, tranne per l'atteggiamento del personale del ristorante per colazione.
