Fantastic 1 night good rest with scenic activities in a large classy hotel! Wonderful sea view from the room. We did the lake cruise (offered with room booking) and visited Enryakuji on the mountain easily with a discount coupon from hotel. Beautiful autumn foliage! Good value with free shuttle and friendly service from Otsu station overall. No good restaurants nearby, better book with dinner options or dine at hotel’s restaurants. Wasn’t crowded in early Dec. A good break from crowded Kyoto.

1月從比叡山看到琵琶湖，就開始找目的地，從彥根城到大津找了一圈，選了大津的雄琴温泉，酒店從おごと温泉駅不方便步行抵達，但是出站口有一個免費手機可以聯繫酒店五分鐘後酒店車接，很方便。 酒店外部是丘陵地形，走路去琵琶湖邊上需要15分鐘左右，在房間可以看到湖。夜景漂亮極了。酒店周圍沒有大面積的櫻花景色。 酒店內部是美麗的和式風情，小さい細節はか素晴らしいです 設施：一階て二階要乘坐扶梯，3&6層有吸煙點，除了蒼天餐廳還有其他餐廳，一樓大廳有一個大商店和咖啡廳，大浴場はままです 在蒼天連着吃了四天4頓晚飯4頓早飯，每一餐有細微的變化，都是非常健康新鮮的食材，但是下一次我會衹訂兩天宿泊、二天宿不含餐，因為就餐時間要提前確認，遲到早退會影響其他客人，影響了其他行程安排，為了吃飯夜間大津博物館沒去成。 房間贊極了，和式兩間房，兩個電視，露天風呂はジャグジーある、広い。保潔和鋪床完全無接觸，早飯時填好表格，人出去玩的時打掃，晚飯時間有人鋪床，非常非常舒適。如果想體驗千與千尋裏面油屋的風呂、建議步行去湖邊的あがりやんせ、裏面吃喝玩樂理髮按摩，還有免費劇場，圖書館，按摩椅，1600円一人可以玩一天。

Loved this place. The Lounge has delicious beer and I got a free upgrade. The onsen is also one of the best I have been to in Japan. Highly recommend!

Non potevo parlare giapponese, ma potevo sentire che trattavano tutti i clienti seriamente. I loro saluti e servizi sinceri mi hanno impressionato. C'era un problema con la mia prenotazione all'inizio, non sicuramente perché non ho ricevuto una spiegazione adeguata dall'hotel e Trip.com, l'hotel non ha menzionato nulla, ma ha organizzato una piccola sorpresa quando sapevano che questo era un viaggio d'anniversario. Ho cercato di aggiornare il mio pasto con crab, perché mia moglie non era come carne e pesce, e dicono che non era disponibile, così mi mantengo all'originale.Alla fine ho avuto crab, pesce e carne che mi sorprende. Mi è stato poi dato un souvenir dall'hotel quando hanno servito il dessert. L'hotel è occupato, ma non vedo molte persone, forse tutti sono in camera. L’esperienza per me era eccezionale quando mi sveglio alle 6:00, testimone del bellissimo sollevamento del sole fuori dalla finestra, e vide un uccello passare attraverso la mia telecamera cercando di catturare quel momento. Poi, quando prendo il bus libero per la stazione ferroviaria vicina, vidi un'aquila scendere di nuovo e salire fuori dalla stazione; non è certo che significhi nulla, ma è certamente un viaggio molto spirituale per me.

The cozy futon bedding ensured a restful night’s sleep, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. **Delicious Dining Options** Dining was a highlight, with a breakfast buffet that included a delightful mix of Japanese and Western dishes, emphasizing local ingredients. Fresh seafood and seasonal fruits made each meal enjoyable. **Excellent Location and Amenities** Located in Otsu, the hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the area. It offers free parking for guests and complimentary bike rentals, making it easy to explore the scenic lakeside paths and nearby attractions. The staff were incredibly helpful, providing recommendations for local sights, such as the historic Enryaku-ji Temple. Lake Biwa Hotel is a fantastic choice for a peaceful getaway. With stunning views, comfortable accommodations, and great amenities, I highly recommend it for a relaxing escape.

We stayed two nights in the hotel with breakfast and dinner. The web page of Trip.com showed that there was onsen in the hotel but when we check in, we were told that it was a ”mistake”. There is no onsen and the photo is a public onsen half an hours away. It was very disappoining that the Trip.com include photos irrelevant to the hotel. Dinner was also diffferent from the web photo. We have to pay 2500 yen each to upgrade the dinner to shsbu shabu. Breakfast is Japanese style with limited choice. Other than these, we had lake view room and shopping mall is nearby which are the advantages.

A great place to stay near the station with friendly helpful staff and a somewhat pretty nice breakfast, considering it is complimentary. This hotel is close to Hikone Castle and the JR station. The hotel also offers a lot of parking space for free, which being close to the station is amazing! The room was clean and tidy with a typical Japanese style small bath. The only thing that upset us, was the lack of Onigiri which had been in the photos when booking. But. Again, the breakfast is complimentary and seasonal as said in the hotel, so no big issue! Would stay again!

Ho vissuto anche quest'anno dall'anno scorso. La stanza è un po'vecchia, ma resta pulita e non è disgustosa. (Sono un po' preoccupato per l'odore ...) Il bagno è molto ampio, e c'è un bagno, quindi puoi lavarti lentamente. Posso mettere una bottiglia di acqua (come un po'di acqua locale), una miniera e Liz ogni notte, quindi sono grato per la sua attenzione. La colazione e i cibi locali sono deliziosi. Se c'è una possibilita', resterò.

Overall, AB Hotel Hikone provides a fantastic stay with its prime location, cleanliness, value for money, and outstanding facilities. I highly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a delightful and comfortable accommodation experience in Hikone, Japan.

Era un viaggio di famiglia per 10 anni, ed era davvero il miglior ostello! Soprattutto il bagno aperto al quinto piano era davvero bello e bello. Mio fratello non poteva mangiare piatti di pesce, quindi gli ho detto in anticipo che erano tutti forniti come piatti alternativi. C'erano circa due persone che parlavano coreano e erano tutti amichevoli. Vorrei visitare di nuovo la prossima volta. Era il miglior Natale!
