Regno Unito: hotel con internet nella provincia di Staffordshire

We stayed in the Keele Courtyard for 3 nights 27-30 December 2025, close enough to the village of Woore where our son hosted a large family gathering - 15 in all of which we are the parents of 3 and grandparents of 7. We found most aspects of the hotel to be very good - very helpful and obliging staff, a spacious and well-appointed room with a large very accessible bathroom. The generous bed was perhaps a little soft for our taste, with pillows that were too large/over-filled to be completely comfortable, again not to our taste, however we slept without too much 'distress'!! Our main disappointment was breakfast. We dined at 7.45am on our first morning as we had a 9am church service to attend and there were few others in the restaurant. The 'heated' plates were cold, and without exception, every cooked item (an acceptable selection available) in the chafers was tepid if not cold and greasy. The fried egg yolks were solid and unpalatable. The generic plain yoghurt was of thin consistency and tasteless. The unlabelled marmalade, (if that was what it was?!) had no flavour and might even have been apricot jam ... There were plenty of cereal, pastry, Danish, roll, fruit, cold cut options etc. and the fruit salad and compote were delicious! The bread for toasting was basic and there were no uncut options to enable a choice of thickness. There was a seeded loaf, already sliced, available near the pastries, etc. which made delicious toast but could perhaps have been available for individual guests to cut more thickly? The coffee from the machines was good, with a varied selection of choices. In order to have a cup of tea, it was necessary to 'dunk' a teabag in a mug - yes, very much what many tea- drinkers do in their daily lives, but surely the availability of small stainless steel tea pots near the hot water is not beyond the imagination of an organisation like Marriot? Tea tastes so much better if allowed to brew in a teapot before being poured into a cup or mug! Perhaps these comments will allow Marriot to review some of their Buffet Breakfast practises and improve the quality of the experience. May I conclude by saying that we have had worse and better - but are still looking for perfection ... ! Thank you for this opportunity to air my feelings. ************.

Staff is friendly and make us feel welcomed. Hotel’s facility is Morden and nice. Breakfast hot item isovercooked a little bit but all others is ok.

La stanza era piccola, ma aveva tutto ciò che doveva. La stanza era pulita e pulita.  L’unica cosa che ha lasciato questo viaggio è che l’aria condizionata non funziona e non funziona da mesi. Ho chiamato la ricezione prima di prenotare, e hanno detto come funzionava il con aereo, ma quando sono arrivato, hanno detto che ”può funzionare, in alcune camere”, ma non lavorava nel nostro.  Ma in generale, questo era un bel hotel confortevole. Prenotare ancora una volta l'aria condizionata funziona.

Best Bits The Castle is a lovely old fashioned hotel, perfectly positioned for shopping, river walks and IMHO, the best pub in Tamworth, The Old Bank House just across the road. It's also only about 6 minutes walk from the Jolly Sailor long stay car park where 24 hour parking costs only £2. The man on the front desk was very helpful and showed us to our room. On finding out that we'd stayed at the hotel a few times before, he even offered to move us to to a room we'd stayed in previously. We opted for the standard double room which had quite a comfortable bed and tea/coffee making facilities. There was also a large flat screen TV (not tried). Being at the back of the hotel meant that there was no noise from the road. The room overlooked a small inner courtyard which contained the fire escape stairs and at the correct angle you could just make out the crenellations of Tamworth Castle itself! We didn't eat at the hotel this time but the next morning we spoke to other guests who raved over the fantastic cooked breakfasts so we'll probably try them next time we come. Slight Downsides The en-suite bathroom had a bath with shower over which was very effective once the hot water finally came through. This could be speeded up by turning on the hot water bath tap. A slight downside of the bathroom having a fan instead of natural ventilation was that it took ages for the steam to clear so washbag and contents got a bit damp. There weren't any chairs in the room.

Ho soggiornato recentemente in questo hotel e, purtroppo, l'esperienza è scesa al di sotto delle aspettative. Sebbene fossero gentili quando si avvicinavano direttamente, c'era una notevole mancanza di iniziativa e a volte si sentiva che gli ospiti fossero lasciati a scoprire le cose da soli. La stanza stessa aveva diverse questioni che non dovevano essere ignorate. Il sedile del bagno non era adeguatamente montato, e sopra di ciò il flusso del bagno era incline e non funzionava così bene come dovrebbe. Queste sono le strutture di base che devono funzionare correttamente per un soggiorno confortevole, e il doccia aveva anche formato sul silicone, che è stato deludente e solleva preoccupazioni circa il livello di manutenzione e di pulizia. Un altro problema è stato il cuttery fornito nella stanza. Era sporco all'arrivo, che immediatamente ha creato dubbi circa le norme generali di igiene. Questo piccolo dettaglio, come questo, fa una grande differenza in quanto si sente affidabile e confortevole un ospite. Sebbene l'hotel abbia potenziale in termini di layout e di strutture, questi problemi hanno reso il soggiorno molto meno piacevole. Spero sinceramente che la gestione affronti queste preoccupazioni in modo che i futuri ospiti possano avere una molto migliore esperienza.

We booked to stay here as we had a daytime function nearby. We had a few hotels as options and chose here as it was a special occasion and this felt like a treat. We all arrived at different times to get changed before leaving and said we all felt like we were an inconvenience from the moment we arrived. The staff weren't friendly or very helpful. We arrived back from our function at 7.30pm and checked in, there was a change in staff but not a change in customer service. We asked if we could get food from the restaurant and was told we couldn't because of ”everything else going on” which we assume was a wedding nor could we order room service. We asked if we were allowed to go for a drink in the bar and they said we could if we ”could find a table”. We weren't informed of where breakfast was, the times or when check out was. We went out for food in the end, but be mindful there isn't anything particularly nearby so it was a challenge with taxis but we found somewhere to eat easy enough (and had a lovely time). The hotel itself is beautiful as are the grounds so we were really disappointed that the service didn't match it.

Ci piace davvero stare qui, se solo per una sola notte per rompere la serata da sud a nord ovest, prendendo il nostro viaggio di nuovo la mattina successiva. La nostra recente visita è stata la prima a utilizzare il nostro nuovo (per noi) EV, quindi il prelievo sul sito ha dimostrato ansia calmante e molto efficace - anche se prezioso! Un grande piccolo posto con una bella piscina. Una bella casa di nuoto. Una bella famiglia insieme in un alloggio molto pulito e ben attrezzato.

In un tempo era davvero un ottimo hotel e ora è finché hanno bisogno di un po 'di rinnovamento ma fidati di me è un ottimo hotel bel piscine si deve avere una cappa di nuoto e google per nuotare che non è stato detto prima e non penso k questo è giusto ma servizio camere colazione posizione è tutto grande altra cosa che non mi piace che hanno preso depositi che non hanno senso e non sono ancora tornati

Sono stato piacevolmente sorpreso dalla decorazione della camera e della bagno! La stanza era pulita e ben presentata. Il letto era molto comodo. La doccia era grande con bellissime bagni. Nonostante la strada principale, il rumore del traffico era molto basso. Il pub era pulito e pulito con un buon menu e un bel giardino di birra. È ben situato per viaggiare come il suo vicino a moto.rway link ecc . Gli unici effetti negativi sono: La scala delle camere è un po' ricca, è un vecchio edificio, quindi aggiunge al personaggio. Siamo stati al terzo piano nell'ultima ondata di calore e non c'è aria condizionata, quindi era molto calda. Ancora una volta, questo è probabilmente solo un problema per una settimana dell'anno!! Io rimarrei certamente e lo consiglierei
