La posizione è perfetta, è vicino al mare e i trasporti pubblici sono facili da usare. Penso che avere un letto privato sia il vantaggio migliore! Tuttavia, non c'è acqua calda nella doccia.

L'hotel è stato scelto vicino all'aeroporto.
Doveva cambiare la stanza, perché l'ascensore era fuori uso a causa delle inondazioni, e non potevamo fare le scale al secondo piano. Grande comodo letto. La luce nella stanza era deludente, ma molte luci non erano ancora molto luminose per la lettura. La grande stanza con una tavola da pranzo e due sedie da soggiorno per guardare la TV, che era piccola per la dimensione della stanza.
La signora che ci ha controllati ci ha aiutati a raggiungere la nostra stanza prendendo due sacchetti per noi.

La mia esperienza complessiva in questo ostello della gioventù è stata piuttosto soddisfacente! L'aria condizionata in camera era eccellente, mantenendo l'ambiente fresco e confortevole anche in piena estate, senza dare alcuna sensazione di soffocamento. Le aree comuni e i bagni erano tenuti pulitissimi, puliti quotidianamente e inodori. La cucina era completamente attrezzata e forniva asciugamani di carta gratuiti, il che la rendeva molto comoda per i backpacker che necessitavano di pasti semplici.
L'unico inconveniente era la mancanza di un distributore d'acqua nelle aree comuni, quindi è necessario portare la propria bottiglia d'acqua o acquistarne una in bottiglia. Tuttavia, la zona circostante è eccellente, con McDonald's, KFC e un supermercato aperto 24 ore su 24 a 3 minuti a piedi, il che la rende comoda per spuntini notturni e necessità quotidiane. Consiglio vivamente questo ostello ai viaggiatori che apprezzano la pulizia, la comodità dei trasporti e un budget limitato. L'aria condizionata e la cucina, a questo prezzo, offrono un rapporto qualità-prezzo davvero eccezionale!

Letto non pulito, sporco rosso, moquette e pavimento appiccicosi, insetto morto sul bordo del divano, ho scoperto tutto questo la prima notte. Non ho chiesto di cambiare stanza perché ero molto in ritardo per scoprirlo la sera, e non ero troppo stanco dopo un volo di un giorno intero. Questa non è stata la parte peggiore: dopo aver fatto il bucato, l'asciugatrice non funzionava correttamente. Ho provato tre volte, si è fermata da sola dopo aver funzionato per 10 minuti o al massimo 20 minuti. Questa è la prima volta che affitto un appartamento in Australia. Se volete che la vostra stanza venga pulita, sconsiglio vivamente l'appartamento e cercate appartamenti con servizi o un hotel.

Very nice room with good layout and spacious enough. Near pool and restaurant, I'm glad it was a quiet Monday night and not a weekend otherwise noise could have been an issue. Good service and tasty food. The place had a nice atmosphere, great to meet friends or family and enjoy the ambience.

We stayed at Chinchilla Motor Inn as a family and had a fantastic experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained — perfect for a family stopover. A special mention to the lovely lady at reception who was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone passing through or staying in Chinchilla!

Ho trovato un accendino pieno nella mia stanza, il che è stato un problema perché viaggiavo con un bambino curioso. Il motel ha il potenziale per essere fantastico, ma devono solo essere più diligenti nel controllare le stanze durante il processo di pulizia.

Located fairly close to the domestic terminal and very convenient for international travelers arriving into Brisbane staying overnight and catching a domestic flight next day. Since domestic terminal is joined to the airport walkway, all basic services or facilities such as dinner place and convenience store are accessible within walking distance. If you have enough time you can also catch train from domestic terminal and visit City. Overall very nice clean place.

Il nostro soggiorno è assolutamente adorabile! Situazione fantastica - proprio alla stazione ferroviaria e al porto di traghetto e al sud è un posto così grande con bar, ristoranti e spiaggia vicino al fiume. L'hotel era incredibile con una bella piscina al tetto e decorazione in tutta la nostra stanza e le principali aree. Siamo stati solo tristi che fosse solo una notte! Non volevamo andare. Tutto il personale era sorprendente e cibo e bevande erano deliziosi!

Stateed a number of times, good location, Cairns can be expensive but cannot blame businesses trying to catch up in busy times as everything else was expensive. Clean, temperate and friendly staff.

But when it comes to booking and service this is another story .. for the money I paid to stay 2 night I thought this would be the perfect place to rest I’m 5 star style .. place yes , service a disaster. Firstly when I arrived at Swiss bel .. I went to reception to book in as I booked online a queen bed room he asked if I had a vehicle I said yes agreed to the $35 a night and he said he would just take it out of the bond I paid at end if that was ok I said yes perfect .. when I got up to my room it was 2 single I called reception and advised I had booked a queen bed and there is 2 singles he said oh the house keeper hadn’t changed the beds or didn’t look at booking , I asked if someone could just come up and fix .. he said there is noone to do this now come down and j will find another room for you . I went down stairs said I would go get something to eat and when I come back hopefully a room will be sorted. I came back he advised me that he had upgraded me and I asked if I could have the new key and I will switch rooms and come back down with the other key to save me bringing my luggage down and then back up again. I got to room and key didn’t work to go to 6th floor . So I brought my luggage down and told reception that key didn’t work . He said sometimes this happens with those keys /actually quite often said he would come up with me and check . Yes card did not work so he used his staff card to let me in said he would fix and come back . He came back 10mins later to test and it had been foxed . Not sure what the upgrade as as room was smaller than the first , had no shower gel (was empty container when I went into have a shower) thought it may have been replenished on next day with room
Clean still empty on second day and cleaner took face washers and never replaced them so I washed with shampoo and a hand towel .. when I came back on second day went to put card into open the car park and it didn’t work .. I went to reception to let them know I was trying to get into car park and the card doesn’t work, she (Asian lady) advised me that I hadn’t paid for parking .. I had to explain everything from the night before then asked me they will take it out of my bind I said yes that’s what I agreed with the night before . No apology just more interested in getting payment for parking. She added parking to

Went back into get then came out .. followed me down then gave me a card .. I later received a phone call from a lady called Theresa asking how my stay was and I explain that it has been the most disappointing experience I have had ever ! Explained the above she said she would come and replace the shower gel and face washers I said it’s ok I have already had my shower used a hand towel and shampoo because I’m already in bed .. she said that I hope that my stay apologetic on my experience already , I hope it is better from now and if I need anything to contact her and ask for Theresa I said thank you I appreciated the call … then then 10
Minutes later she comes knocking on my door I have to get dress to answer the door she knocks again I said I’m coming
She is at the door with the shower gel and face washers getting me out of bed . I understand why she brought it but I told her I was in bed and I had already showered . So then I go to hand my key in to check out to be told I have outstanding parking I need to pay .. I advised Theresa that it is coming out of the bond payed and this has been told now to 3 people .. as I said place is absolutely fantastic.. apart from missing shower gel and tissues
Not sure what or how I was uograded as the room was smaller and no window as in first room

UUtente ospiteDoveva aspettare che una delle nostre due camere fosse stata costruita, ma la stanza che doveva essere costruita aveva solo le letti finite. La pasta dentale si splattò sullo specchio del bagno, il bagno non era sgranato, nessun lavatrice facciale, asciugamani o asciugamani, anche se ci erano asciugamani freschi sui letti.
La cucina non era stata fatta perché non c'erano vestiti da pranzo o liquidi per pulire solo 2 tazze di tè, nessun muffin e il frigo conteneva metà yogurt mangiato, un sacchetto pieno di uve e un 1/4 di melone d'acqua rotto i succhi tutti crostati sotto di esso.
Il congelatore ben congelato conteneva un blocco di ghiaccio parzialmente mangiato congelato nel congelatore, ovviamente era stato abbastanza lungo da essere congelato.
La cucina non era stata contenuta con zucchero di caffè o, soprattutto, latte per me (un po' di merda che portavo il mio tè e il mio caffè)
Non so se sia stato vaccinato a causa delle pillole, come altri articoli sul tappeto, e menziono le pillole, perché avevamo bambini piccoli con noi.
La telecamera dell'aria condizionata non aveva batterie o tornava a quella, ma abbiamo appena sgombrato le batterie per la telecamera.
La pulizia, che ha mandato a riparare questo, ha reso evidente che non era lei che avrebbe fatto la stanza. Pulizia lo specchio, riempiva i lavastoviglie, la toletta e il bagno, tolse il cibo dal frigorifero e dal congelatore e, su richiesta, mi diede un vestito per spruzzare il succo di melone d’acqua cruzzato.
I letti erano puliti (che ho controllato) con fogli freschi e comodi, e erano chiari che si aspettavano cortesia agli altri, non facendo molto rumore tardi alla notte o portate a trappola. La zona della piscina poteva essere pulita. Non so da dove proveniva la sporcizia, ma era lì quando arrivammo e ancora lì quando lasciammo. I sedie da lobby non mi aspettavano, avevano bisogno di una buona scatola con sapone e acqua.
A un po'di notte, hanno aperto il congelatore al Café per comprare la crema di ghiaccio.Il personale era utile e gentile.I bambini amavano giocare a ping pong e nuotare.

UUtente ospiteLa posizione è meravigliosa .. corta passeggiata per surf paradiso e Skypoint è proprio vicino alla porta. Facile da arrivare dall'aeroporto come la fermata del tram è proprio vicino al Skypoint. Molte scelte di caffè e ristorante. Non ha usato la piscina o lo sportello. Il rumore può essere sentito dalla stanza, perché le pareti sono sottili. Una semplice verifica in .. il personale non ha consigliato molto sulle strutture del resort e abbiamo trovato la base di password wifi sul tappeto sulla parete della cucina. Il nostro balcone appartiene alla piscina che è bello.

L'unico difetto è cambiare la stanza di bassa disabilità. Il giorno dopo, non ho richiesto di cambiare la stanza. Il piano è più alto di ** che puzza di fumo nel ristorante sottostante. Si consiglia di prenotare il piano alto

The only thing to work on would be the towels: one had hair on it, and about half of them were stained (they may have been clean and just permanently stained, but still). The staff were very helpful and nice — thank you for that!

UUtente ospiteOnly lost one point from me, because of the WiFi signal but I can live without I'm just glad I don't have the kids with me. Personally apart from that my stay was flawless. It has the perfect, location, service, security, cleanliness, not overly priced and I've also saved a lot of cigarettes (because I'm too lazy to walk outside to have one). Then there's the bed!! Wow the bed is lovely, on arrival I had things to do but I laid down for a ”little bit” and I woke up at midnight 😬😮😁
I will definitely be returning in the future. .

Ma c'era un problema che l'hotel mi pagava in modo errato A$1316.88. Parlo immediatamente al personale di turno notturno che mi rimborsa A$1036.08 immediatamente. E ho trovato che c'era ancora A$280 eccellente. Il personale ha detto che sarebbe stato rimasto a casa entro due giorni prima di lasciare l'hotel. Purtroppo quando ho lasciato 5 giorni che ancora non rimasto a casa. Ha richiesto altri 10 giorni per creditare la mia carta di credito. Questa esperienza non era del tutto piacevole.

This place is definitely one of the best hostels ever. Where do I start from?
Reception: everyone is always super kind and helpful, including offering help with luggage and everything else. The hostel looks very new and modern, so beautiful!
Room: it's great! Big enough, with hangers, curtains on each bed (amazing!), plugs and light for every bed and also some extra plugs around the room. Bed was very comfortable and I felt great there!
Bathroom: always clean, soap in every sink and in every shower, big and nice!
Kitchen: incredibly well equipped and open 24 hours. There are 2 doors separating it from the rooms so it's never noisy even if people are there in the night. They provide big boxes that fit in the (many) fridges so that it's all tidy and clean. Goodbye the hundreds of Woolworths bags and messy fridges with no space for other people's food! Even the cups, the dishes were perfectly clean, like everything else. I was seriously impressed, they did the cleaning multiple times a day. Free salt, oil, tea and coffee always available.
Common areas: really beautiful, full of books, games, with a huge TV and many tables and beanbags.
Events: they actually organize social events and the staff helps the ”new” people to socialize. That's so important! Many long termers don't really mind about meeting new people but if the staff does his part then it gets a lot easier. And here, they do. On my first night they had a free cheese and wine event and we got a lot of tasty food and wine.
Location: perfect, just above Woolworths and a few minutes walking from everything. The Little Drifter feels more like an hotel than a hostel and I really don't know how people can rate it low.
As great as it is I would still like to suggest some possible improvement. Maybe at the Reception you can print a map with a few info about the hostel on the back. I didn't understand where the boxes for the kitchen were, I didn't find the labels. Also it took me 3 days to find out that I had another toilet a lot closer to my room, so for 3 days I was crossing a very long hallway in the middle of the night when I had to go.
I also didn't like the fact that I had to open the doors through the app and I discovered later that there is a code to open it as well (I try to leave my phone in my room as much as possible).
This hostel is a little more expensive than other places but it's totally worth it! If I'll be back in Cairns I won't hesitate to come here. Thanks!
