UUtente ospiteHo preso i bagagli e ho lasciato l'aeroporto dopo mezzanotte. Ho girato a destra e ho seguito le indicazioni per l'hotel per circa 10 minuti. È stato un po' difficile trascinare la valigia da 28 pollici sulla strada sterrata ben illuminato, e c'erano diversi conigli grassi sull'erba di notte. Mangia erba, la signora alla reception ha fatto il check-in in 5 minuti. La stanza è abbastanza grande con 2 grandi scatole sp**** e puoi passeggiare buono e ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Just returned from a quick overnight at Point A Hotel Edinburgh Haymarket and wanted to share my experience! At £146.13 for the night, it offered a sleek, contemporary stay in one of the UK's most beautiful cities.
The location at 152 Morrison Street (EH3 8EB) is absolutely spot-on. Situated in the Haymarket area, it puts you within easy reach of Edinburgh's major attractions while being slightly removed from the tourist crowds. The area has excellent transport links, with Haymarket station nearby, making it perfect for exploring both the historic Old Town and the elegant New Town.
I stayed for **one night from Wednesday, July 23 to Thursday, July 24, 2025**. The flexible check-in window (3 PM until midnight) was super convenient for my travel schedule, and the 11 AM check-out gave me enough time to get ready without feeling rushed the next morning.
The hotel itself has a modern, minimalist aesthetic (visible in the booking thumbnail), which carried through to my room. Everything was clean, well-designed, and efficiently laid out. Point A is known for their smart, space-saving rooms that focus on quality essentials rather than unnecessary frills – perfect for city explorers who plan to spend most of their time out and about.
What I appreciated was the **upfront pricing** – the £146.13 covered everything with no hidden extras. I should note that I opted for a non-refundable rate to get the best price, which was clearly explained during booking. The Trip.com process was straightforward, and their price match and stay guarantee added extra peace of mind.
The app's ”Message Property” and ”Call Property” features were handy when I needed to confirm the parking situation nearby. Being able to communicate directly through the app made planning much easier.
Is it a sprawling luxury hotel with extensive facilities? No, but that's not what Point A aims to be. It delivers exactly what it promises: a smart, comfortable, well-located base for exploring Edinburgh at a fair price point.
**Would I recommend it?** Absolutely! If you're looking for a modern, no-nonsense place to stay in Edinburgh with excellent location and clean, comfortable rooms, Point A Hotel Edinburgh Haymarket is an excellent choice. Perfect for solo travelers, couples, or anyone wanting a quality city break without overspending on accommodation.

UUtente ospiteIt’s a nice little hotel close to waverly station and other attractions like the old town and dean’s village - and a number of useful shops for food and other needs. The location is truly the highlight. It’s clean with comfortable beds and we found ourselves looking forward to returning here after a long day of adventures. We were even treated to free breakfast every day - a simple but delicious assortment of pastries, fruits, juices, coffee yogurt - currently available to all guests (but not sure if that’s always the case). The staff is friendly but not overly enthusiastic, which was fine for us.
However there are a few things which were a bit of an inconvenience. We were delayed in reaching the hotel due to train cancellations and wanted to contact the front desk to let them know of our situation. But when we tried to call them around 9pm, we had to ring them around 10 times to be in touch. The hotel does not provide basic amenities like bath robes, slippers or drinking water bottles (insisting guests use the bathroom tap) in standard rooms and these have to be purchased (though we were provided with a robe kindly) at rather unfriendly prices. While we can appreciate that tap water is safe to drink, as we do drink it regularly, it is a bit odd to assume people will be happy to use the bathroom. If the concern is for single use plastic, some kid of self-refill station for the guests would easily address that. Our in-room phone did not work and though we were informed it would be replaced, it wasn’t - which was an inconvenience at times when trying to reach concierge for any questions. The rooms did also feel much smaller than they seem in the pictures but it wasn’t personally an issue for us. The lighting is quite poor though so it can be an issue anyone needing it for getting some work done or putting makeup on etc. Lastly, the hotel is currently undergoing renovations so some rooms like ours have no views at all due to the scaffolding but we had expected it while booking.
Overall, this hotel is great for travellers who need a clean and comfortable place that’s also very well-located and don’t need much else from their stay.

A mio parere, la posizione degli hotel è del tutto conveniente per i turisti. Per esempio, siamo tornati all'hotel dopo mezzanotte e era sicuro per noi.

UUtente ospiteAndare a Edimburgo durante il Festival di Primavera è generalmente più conveniente che a Londra. Consiglio l'Ibis per un soggiorno breve.
✅ La posizione è comoda, a pochi passi da Castle Calton Hill, un'inversione a U per Princes Street e a 6 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria.
✅ Lo scenario sul lato rivolto verso la vecchia strada è davvero stupendo
✅ La colazione è piuttosto deliziosa, inclusa la doppia colazione con un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo
✅ Prestazioni ad alto costo, meno di 800 RMB/notte incluse due colazioni durante il Festival di Primavera, molto buone rispetto ad altri
❌ Non è presente il radiatore, quindi affidarsi all'aria condizionata per il riscaldamento non è molto efficace.
⚠️ Se supera 1K/notte, penso che non sia necessario scegliere questa opzione...

UUtente ospiteIl mio soggiorno a quattro punti da Sheraton Edinburgh è stato in generale molto soddisfacente. La posizione può essere piuttosto complicata, ma non mi importava di camminare per Princes Street, che è circa 10 minuti. Le strutture fornite erano buone e il personale era molto amichevole e utile.
Il personale di pulizia ha fatto un buon lavoro, ma poiché è un pavimento di rug, ho trovato che le unghie degli ospiti precedenti erano ancora sul pavimento che indicavano che era necessario un corretto processo di pulizia.
L'ora di check-out dell'hotel (11.00) non coincide con quella sul sito (12.00), ma non è stata una questione perché il personale ci ha lasciato tenere la stanza fino alle 11.30.

Mm.billahStai a St Christopher’s Hostel, Edinburgh per una notte e è stata una buona scelta di bilancio.
La posizione è eccellente, nel centro della città, vicino alla vecchia città e alle principali attrazioni.
Il dormitorio era basso ma abbastanza comodo per un breve soggiorno. Può essere un po' rumoroso, quindi i piatti d'orecchio aiutano. Bagni e aree comuni erano generalmente pulite considerando quanto è occupato.
In generale, è un ostello sociale, ben situato, grande per incontrare persone e esplorare la città, ma non ideale se si vuole totale tranquillo. Perfetto per un breve soggiorno a Edimburgo.

Al momento dell’iscrizione, era un po’ imbarazzante, a differenza delle informazioni che erano state annunciate sulla password della casella chiave, così ho potuto ottenere aiuto dal personale, ma era un po’ scomodo.
