"Rooms are very large and clean and truthfully nicely decorated! I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the furniture and the premises. Yes the hotel building looks small and the reception area is small but, everything is of premium quality with modern design. It is also designed very practically, with the restaurant on one side of the reception and Costa serving cafe on the other side. Room design/cleanliness and breakfast premises and variety are the two top important things for my travels. Cantonal gets 10/10 for both, in its class. Staff politeness and responsiveness are the second important criteria and Cantonal gets 10/10 for that, too. I don't recommend hotels easily but I can recommend Cantonal with confidence."

UUtente ospiteI stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the hotel very much. It is conveniently located next to the major subway station so I could travel within town without being stuck in infamous traffic. I had a suite and it was tastefully decorated and had all the modern levels of comfort, including the smart light system and a stand alone tub. Since it was my birthday, I also was given a very delicious complementary cake to celebrate this occasion, along with a basket of fruits and Arabic coffee.
I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
P.S. One note - I wish they had a concierge because none of the reception employees knew anything about the celebration of the Founding Day, not even the fact that the roads to the hotel were blocked by the police and it took extra 30 mins for the taxi driver to go around.

The check-in and check-out process was very fast, making it a hassle-free experience.
Room:
The room was nice and big, providing plenty of space. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom was nice, though it was a bit inconvenient that a toothbrush was prepared for only one person. Additionally, the room card stopped functioning after one night, requiring a trip to the reception to fix it.
Room Service Food:
The room service food was quite good. The grilled chicken was delicious, but the chicken biryani was just nice, nothing extraordinary.
Breakfast:
Breakfast was excellent! A special mention to Nour, who was very helpful, polite, and friendly. The service provided by Nour was top-notch.
Spa:
The spa is available only for males. We had to go to another place for a female spa, which was inconvenient.
Getting Around:
Getting around was very easy using Uber, making transportation convenient and stress-free.
Overall Experience:
A very satisfying stay with excellent service and comfortable accommodations. Would recommend for a pleasant stay, though the spa facilities could be more inclusive, and the room card issue needs to be addressed.

My stay at JW Marriott Riyadh started off very poorly. I arrived at 3 a.m., and check-in was disappointing — no welcome drink, no upgrade, and none of my pre-arrival requests were met. My room was small, not on a high floor, and the “genius suite” was misleading: the bathtub’s view is blocked by fixed blinds. On top of that, someone was smoking on a non-smoking floor, which made me feel unwell, and reception offered no real solution.
Concierge service was equally frustrating. I had arranged a driver for a trip to the Edge of the World, but I received conflicting information and was quoted a price three times the market rate. When I raised the issue with the concierge, he promised to resolve it and never got back to me. Complaints at reception and with concierge went completely unaddressed, forcing me to escalate directly to the duty manager.
Thankfully, the duty manager intervened and salvaged my stay — upgrading me to a penthouse suite for a few hours and offering a complimentary dinner. While his support was excellent, it shouldn’t have taken escalating multiple complaints to get any resolution.
Overall, the hotel itself is luxurious, but inconsistent service at reception and concierge, misleading room descriptions, and poor handling of complaints make this a risky experience.
