Hotel a Salou, Spagna

Good location to shops, beach & restaurants. The hotel itself was clean & pleasant. Breakfast was good selection. Beds are a little to hard so was fine for short visit but wouldn’t recommend for long period. The worst was having no control over air conditioning, I appreciate it is April but we should be able to control our own temperature & it was just hot air. Not overly comfortable sleeping with balcony door open but had to to get air. For that reason I wouldn’t return.

The hotel was so clean and modern I loved the smell of the scent they had as soon as you walk in reception was really relaxing and reception staff were really friendly! Hotel room was huge and also really clean it was great for us as a family and my daughter had lots of space to play when we was up in the room, the beds were really comfy and we all had the best sleep every night during our stay I loved that it was a full queen size bed and not 2 single beds pushed together like most hotels. I wish we would have had a pool view as we didn’t have any view it was just the back street of the hotel. The restaurant was also lovely and the staff made us feel very welcome everytime we arrived, we was full board and the food was the usual buffet style some nights I couldn’t find anything I was keen on as it was a lot of fish also didn’t have much of a children’s option so my daughter lived of pasta and sauce for the fortnight but other than that it was fine. The fresh omelettes and pastries in the morning were really nice but we missed pork sausages!! The reason why I have given the review 3 stars was because of the entertainment and bar facilities On holiday we are used to more going on in the day and especially in the evening it didn’t really have any atmosphere at all and really let the hotel down We came to realise when we arrived that there was no mini disco for the children or evening entertainment only on Fridays and Saturdays and even on that night it wasn’t worth going to because it was late and our daughter (2) would be bored waiting for it to start with nothing else going on The hotel had so many families whilst we were staying and there could of been so much more the hotel could have done We usually like to go down dressed for the evening and have a drink in a bar or at the pool bar The hotel closed the pool area at 7pm with no access at all as they locked the door to that area and the children’s park The tapas restaurant attached to the hotel turned us a away as we didn’t want food so there was nowhere for us to go and relax with a drink whilst we waited for the restaurant to open which was a late time of 7:30pm This really did disappoint me and my family and did ***** away the holiday feeling for us We ended up having to leave the hotel every night when we would of preferred to spend more time in our hotel due to how nice everything else was Entertaining and atmosphere really lets down the hotel if it had these facilities then we would have had the perfect holiday

Our family visited Salou in August and stayed in 2 apartments in Ona Suites. The apartments were clean and functional . Housekeeping came in during week to change towels and general tidy. Pool was very clean with life guard on duty all day. You can rent sunbeds for a small charge , would be good if there were umbrellas to rent too (might be something to consider) . The reception staff especially Aya was friendly and professional . Arranged late check out for a small fee as our flight was evening time . Close to beach and all the shops and supermarkets. Great location , clean , friendly reception staff . Will definitely be back .

Just back from a 10 night stay to start with was not told that it was all spainish complex and my take is its a air b and b that they rent out 1 or 2 appartments anyway tge appartments were lovely but 2 far away from beach and restaurants plus did not have pool bar or restaurant and this particular lifeguard/security tried to tell us we cud not leave our sun lounges as he wud remove our towels so we cud not leave to go eat as he had already given out about eating by the pool oh but others cud leave for hours discrimination as we were only Irish in complex I meant to get his name as the other fella was grand as for 1 or 2 on reception hadn't a word of English could barely ring for a taxi would not return to stay in these appartments only good thing was we found a excellent restaurant a couple of yards away called El Sabor brilliant food and staff.Annmarie from Ireland

Il personale della reception era amichevole, ma soprattutto Bea, che era estremamente utile per le cose da andare e vedere mentre siamo qui, perché il tempo non era il migliore. Le camere erano molto belle, pulite e tedesche, con letti comodi, ma le mutande non erano così comode. La colazione era una buona scelta con la possibilità di ordinare anche una cucina fresca e il personale era amichevole e manteneva il posto a posto. Il bagno era un po' deluso, poiché ha solo una camera da vapore e una sauna e un jacuzzi per 8 persone, quindi abbiamo usato solo una volta e la sala da gioco non era disponibile durante la settimana a causa della conferenza. In generale, una buona visita a Salou, dove abbiamo visitato Cambrils, Tarragona, Reus e Sama Park in una stagione turistica. Sono sicuro che sarebbe un'avventura di Pasqua. We booked a package holiday with Jet2. Excellent hotel, however we had to wait until 2pm to be able to check into our room. There is a secure luggage room where you can store your cases next to the indoor pool, but nowhere to change out of your travel clothes, unless you use the toilets. Our room was excellent with views of the pool, pool bar, Ferrari World rides and to the sea in the distance. The sea and ***** are approximately a 15 minute walk away, depending on how fast you walk. Exit the hotel at the front, turn left out of the doors and turn left at the end of the road. Walk down the hill to the roundabout. At this roundabout are a couple of shops and bars. Turn right at the McDonalds sign to go to the seafront and straight on to go to the *****. The hotel - all staff helpful, courteous and polite. food is good and varied. Typical buffet style set up. It’s the same whatever your board basis is -B&B, half board or all inclusive. You can change your dinner for lunch if you’re half board, perfect if you want to go out for dinner. If you’re not AI then drinks are paid for during lunch or dinner. Hot drinks and juices are included at breakfast. Entertainment was not for us, a tribute act sings, not just dances to a backing track. There was mini disco every night and families with young children would enjoy the evening entertainment. We are a couple with a 15 year old so we went to the seafront and ***** after dinner most nights, or we went out for dinner swapping for lunch on our HB basis a couple of times. Rooms are cleaned , beds made and towels changed every day. Pool and pool bar areas are good and tidied throughout the day. Pool was cold, but the kids were in it throughout the day. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it. It is a bit of a trek back up the hill from the ***** and seafront if you’re not good walking, something to consider when booking. Taxi from the ***** to the hotel cost 10 euros including tip.- taxi rank next to the fountain.

On Oct 22th, 2023 we were supposed to check in at the Best Da Vinci hotel. Having a free cancellation till 20.10, we wrote to the e-mail in advance about geting a room on the top floor. However, there was no response. At the time of check-in we were offered a room on the 3rd floor out of 6, we asked for a higher floor. We were told that they would try to help us, then we would have to wait. When we came to the reception after 1.5 hours, another employee said that there were no rooms on the 6th floor, come back on Tuesday (24.10). After about 20 minutes we decided to come to the reception, by that time the first employee already came back. They said that since the hotel closes its season on 28.10, rooms on the upper floors won't be available (although people continued to live on the upper floors till closing date 28.10), also they said that our room category was a standard room, not a studio and here are no standard rooms above the 3rd floor. We could pay extra for the room on higher floor, but it was suggested by SENIOR RECEPTIONIST in a rude manner to take the room on the 3rd floor and be satisfied with that. Disappointed we left, but the next day we decided to try our luck again because we saw people on the upper floors getting checked in. On 23.10 having approached to another employee, she answered that the change of rooms is carried out from 12 to 15 and left to specify something. Having returned back with a SENIOR employee, who was dissatisfied that we came again loudly saying ”AGAIN???”, she repeated that the number above the 3rd floor won't be given and if you DO NOT like something, PACK YOUR BAGS AND LEAVE FOR EXAMPLE TO THE NEIGHBOURING MAGNOLIA HOTEL. At the same time we were ready to pay extra just to get a room on the top floor, but nothing was not offered to us, but simply sent us away. For the first time in all our travels we were shocked by the rudeness of front desk employees, absolutely not interested (especially the SENIOR receptionist). Money doesn't matter, you can't pay and take what you want, you need to live in the room dedicated to you. In addition, we got the impressed that they do not speak English well and are more kind to Spanish-speakers. About the room itself, it's nice. But if you got a room in the main building, then be prepared that in rooms where the beds are near the window overlooking the yard, will be very noisy in the morning, because you can hear the slamming doors from ALL sides and from ALL floors. Pros: nice studios, good housekeeping, good food. Cons: rudeness and unprofessionalism of the SENIOR receptionist, noise in rooms because of poor noise insulation, no towels for the beach available.
