Hotel in zona Igreja da Areosa, Porto

If possible, I would suggest avoiding this hotel. There were many issues with this stay. Let me attempt to break this down in a structured way: Hotel: This hotel has no Porter, no trolley cart. So if you’re traveling with a family and have bags / need baggage assistance you’re on your own. There are A LOT of mechanical issues at this property. When I went to use the urinal in the lobby the pee quite literally just poured out the bottom of the urinal and straight onto the floor as though the plumbing were not even connected. Yikes! And they admitted that they were aware when I told them they NEED to close that bathroom. The entry way automatic doors were misfiring. Randomly opening and closing. Kind of like an obstacle course. The elevator sensors didn’t work and on 3 occasions tried to eat me or my kids. At one point the elevator door closed so violently that it knocked me backwards and my 2 and 5 year old were left in the elevator by themselves. Thankfully they pressed the correct floor number. Service: As a Lifetime Titanium Elite we’ve grown to appreciate the little things that a property can do to make your stay special. That’s not really in the vocabulary for this place. For starters, we booked 2 rooms because we knew that with 2 kids and 3 adults we needed to have space. Despite reaching out to the hotel and letting them know that we’re a family traveling together they tried to put us on 2 separate floors. Cmon. Also we submitted our Suite Night Rewards which is a voucher that you earn and it entitles you to a suite upgrade if one is available. Not to be confused with just “expecting” an upgrade. Oddly (and against company policy) they redeemed our Reward but then didn’t give us a suite because they claimed that only the room that the person with the status was staying was eligible. Sorry, but that’s not even remotely true. It’s like saying that you can only redeem your points for the room you’re saying in. 🤣 And let’s talk about the little things. Water. Guests with status are entitled to 2 bottles of water per night. I’ve stayed at over 100 properties. Congratulations AC Porto on being 1 in 100 in the worst possible way. They refused to give us water and advised that we could buy it from the mini bar. We were given 1 bottle per room. So 2 total bottles of water for 5 guests. For 1 night. If you have status and you’re reading this, I apologize for making you spit out your coffee. But seriously. It’s bizarre. You have to stay 75 nights per year to earn Titanium status so there’s a lot of revenue being fed to the chain. It’s a bottle of water for fffffs sake. Oh and again, for folks with status, you’ll know that you receive a welcome gift. It’s either points or breakfast. Here at the lovely AC Porto their breakfast is €15 per person, and the Welcome Gift is €10 credit. So in essence they’re giving you 1/3 of breakfast. And that’s only for ONE room. They do not extend that amenity to the second room that we paid for. Room: S

Not a touristy hotel so far out of town! Meant either 20€ taxi ride to town or walk 15 minutes to the local Metro and go from there. Hotel staff friendly and room very clean. Tiny bar area and spa pool charge of 5€ to use plus 5€ for swim hat. Pool was tiny. Hotel fine if you’re on a business trip but I would next time want something in the town. Nothing to do in evening apart from going to student type bars in a local shopping area

Nel settembre 2023 abbiamo viaggiato con un gruppo di 39 persone, che si trovano 5 giorni all'Hotel Jaguar. Il servizio è stato sorprendente, grande grido a Marta Revlas che è andato oltre e oltre le nostre aspettative. Le camere erano pulite e bellissime, il personale della cucina ha fatto un lavoro straordinario per nutrire il nostro grande gruppo, il cibo era straordinario e superato le nostre aspettative. Non posso dire abbastanza sul grande servizio che abbiamo ricevuto in questo hotel, è stato il miglior hotel del nostro viaggio attraverso il Portogallo e in Spagna. Ben fatto l'hotel Jaguar!

This place is actually an old motel that has clearly gone bankrupt and still tries to get naive customers to a trap. It smells of mold, there is no shower ( just a broken whirlpool ), there is no maintenance and the staff is clearly unwilling to look after the guests. To make it worse - if possible - they tried to cheat Booking pretending I was not there ( although I have my credit cards statements to prove ) just not to pay their commission. When I wrote this on the Booking review the owner was extremely impolite and aggressive , as his plote was denounced. Honestly, it makes no sense staying there even if it was for free. Run away from this joint!!

Io e la mia famiglia pianificano una vacanza in Algarve, ma come i voli diretti non correno ogni giorno a Faro, abbiamo deciso di fare un breve viaggio a Porto 3-day prima di andare a Algarve. Abbiamo visto Almada Domus su Expedia e abbiamo deciso di rimanere lì, poiché le foto sembrano belle e descrive la sua posizione come molto centrale per tutte le attrazioni turistiche di Porto. Purtroppo, dopo aver fatto la prenotazione, abbiamo capito che l'hotel è effettivamente situato a pochi isolati dalle strade principali e richiede un corto salto di montagna per arrivare, che sarà una sfida per mio marito che soffrisce di ripetere Achilles Tendinite che rende difficile camminare e richiederebbe aiuto a camminare.Lo stesso giorno, entro 2 ore dalla prenotazione, ho mandato un email all'hotel per chiedere l'annullamento. Ho spiegato a Fabio (che presumo sia il manager/ proprietario dell'hotel) la mia situazione e in quel momento sembrava disposta a soddisfare la mia richiesta, ma mi ha consigliato di contattare direttamente la Spedia. Poi ho parlato con Expedia e mi è stato detto che possono cancellare gratuitamente dopo aver confermato con l'hotel che sono a posto con esso. Più di 20 e-mail con l'hotel dall'ultima sera, e questa mattina Fabio ha improvvisamente cambiato il suo tono e ha detto che non permetterà una cancellazione gratuita e che dovremo pagare una penalità del 50%. Poiché la prenotazione è ora “al di fuori della finestra di cancellazione 2-hour”, e sarebbe “ingiusto per gli altri ospiti” (anche se ho contattato l'hotel per cancellare entro 2 ore dalla mia prenotazione, sperando di minimizzare l'impatto sul loro business). Mi è stato anche detto da Fabio che “Porto è una città di montagna come Lisbona, che non è amichevole per le persone con difficoltà a camminare” e ha detto, ma possiamo Uber ovunque.... Sono stato molto sconvolto dalle sue ultime osservazioni e chiaramente deluso dal fatto che non volesse aiutare, anche se diceva che sarebbe stato all'inizio quando mi sono contattato per la prima volta.

L'hotel è situato nella zona di Trindade, molto vicino alla zona turistica di Porto e a 5 minuti a piedi da Avenida Aliados. Hotel moderno e pulito con buoni servizi. Il penultimo giorno della nostra vacanza in Portogallo abbiamo avuto un incidente e il personale dell'hotel ci ha aiutato a comunicare con l'ospedale, dato che non parliamo portoghese. Personalmente consiglio questo hotel per l'ottima posizione ed i servizi, ma soprattutto per il trattamento e la qualità del personale e del servizio.

Quando vieni a Porto, assicurati di prenotare il tuo alloggio qui! La posizione non è male e la pulizia della struttura è molto buona! Il ragazzo che è stato così gentile quando ho fatto il check-in ha parlato bene e hai preso un drink di benvenuto? Stesso vino? Te l'ho regalato ed era davvero delizioso!! Non hanno messo un cartello per la pulizia della stanza, quindi ho preso solo un asciugamano e ho provato a rientrare, ma hanno pulito la stanza mentre eravamo fuori a mangiare! E mi hanno portato anche un asciugamano... mi dispiace ㅠㅠ Ma ero così grata che mi abbiano trattato così gentilmente! Sono felice di aver avuto dei bei ricordi e una buona sistemazione durante il mio secondo viaggio a Porto!! Altamente raccomandato!! Le altre app sono un po' costose, ma Trip offre uno sconto, quindi l'ho presa per 150.000 won per 2 notti!!

Checked in on 18/04/23 for a birthday treat with a friend. Staff were very courteous, nothing too much trouble. Hotel was spotlessly clean, and breakfast was plentiful. My roommate forgot her toothbrush and was given a free toothbrush and toothpaste. Happily printed off our boarding passes for us for our flights home. 10/10

Piscina all'aperto per giornate calde fantastiche, ristorante con cibi e bevande gustosi. abbiamo comprato una gita in barca ai 7 ponti, la reception ha organizzato il viaggio per noi. camera molto pulita, abbiamo soggiornato per 4 giorni e la camera era già pulita quando siamo arrivati
