The majority of Changsha's attractions are located near Wuyi Square. It is prudent to book a hotel near this focus area. I booked this motel as it is a reputable hotel chain. It is located right beside Taiping Street, an old shopping alley since ancient times. The chain motel is now named Magnolio Hotel (Wuyi Square Branch). Changsha was my last destination of my 10-day Hunan trip. I did not follow any travel agency and explore based on my research. When we arrived at Changsha from Fenghuang Ancient Town, I was shocked by the hot weather of 38 degrees. We were drenched with sweat and felt much better when in the cold air-conditioned lobby of the hotel. The fusion tea drinks at the lobby quenched much of our thirst. The location of this hotel is superb. It is only 150 m from Exit 1 of Wuyi Square metro station. Seniors above 65 years old, including foreigners, enjoy free metro travel in Changsha. We just showed our passports and there is no second question asked, and the staff will open the gate for you to access the station. Thus, travelling to the airport via metro is also free. Wuyi Square is Line 2 station. From Wuyi Square, you can change to Line 6 at Yinbing Station and take the Line 6 train directly to Terminal 1 & 2 of Huanghua International Airport and free. The metro station also provided shelter from the heat, and I explored Huangxin Pedestrian Street and IFC mall via the metro exits. The hotel receptionist informed me that they had upgraded my room to a bigger one for free. The toilet facilities and room are well renovated and clean though the room is still quite small. I stayed for 2 nights over here, and both me and my wife had wonderful sleep. There were also plenty of eateries and restaurants at the vicinity. Walmart is just 400 m away. For travel to attractions, Orange Island is only just two stations away at 橘子洲 station along Line 2, and for Mount Yuelu, it is only one station away at 溁 湾 镇 站 from 橘子洲 station For location, cleanliness, and staff responsiveness, I will give this hotel 10 points upon 10. This homestay is quite difficult to find, especially for international travelers who are unfamiliar with the area. It was unclear where to check in at first, and we had to ask the building’s information desk to help contact the owner before we could access the room. Fortunately, the owner was kind and helpful. The room itself is spacious with plenty of space. There was a slight cigarette smell, which is common in some places in China, but the highlight is the beautiful river view. Although some buildings partially block the view, it is still very impressive. This was our last night in China before returning home, and staying here became a very good memory. Downstairs, there is a nearby park where you can take a walk and watch elderly locals doing their daily activities, which feels very authentic and enjoyable. The location is convenient—close to a train station and easy to get to Orange Isle. Around the building, there are rice shops and cafés, so finding food is not a problem at all. A good choice for travelers who value views and atmosphere, and don’t mind a bit of inconvenience during check-in.

My trip got cut short due to family emergency but my parent stayed at Xiangyu Xiangyue Apartment not too long ago and recommended this place so I am writing this on their behalf as they did not had the chance to do it. Location: The location is excellent — right beside IFS and within walking distance to Taiping Street, Wuyi Square Station, shopping malls, food streets, cafés, and convenience stores. Super convenient for both day and night activities. Apartment Condition: The room was clean, modern, and spacious compared to standard hotel rooms. The bed was comfortable, the shower had good water pressure, and the air-conditioning worked well. The apartment comes with basic amenities like a small fridge and kettle, which is great for longer stays. Building & Check-in: Since it’s an apartment-style stay, the entrance is inside a commercial building. Check-in was smooth and the host provided clear instructions, but first-time visitors may need to look around a bit to find the correct lift lobby. Service: The host was responsive and polite. Communication was easy, and they were helpful when I needed directions and recommendations. Noise Level: Because it’s in the busiest part of Changsha, some street noise can be heard at night — typical for such a central location. If you’re sensitive, you may want to request a higher floor. Overall: A great choice if you want convenience, modern comfort, and a prime location right next to IFS. It’s ideal for travellers who enjoy shopping, nightlife, and easy access to transportation.

The staffs were friendly, helpful and efficient in their work. The location was excellent. The hotel was very clean and tidy. There were plenty of eating shops, groceries and other conveniences around. The Metro station entrance at the Wanda Plaza was only 5 minutes walk. The famous Taiping Old Street was another 5 minutes away. For meat lovers and food adventurers, Taiping Old Street is a must. The hotel has certainly embraced the AI era by using a cute robot to do the delivery work. I hope more hotels will follow soon. One area needs to be improved. This is regarding the direction to the hotel for guests from overseas like me. More direction signs be placed at strategic locations. At the same time a more detailed map be included in the website to guide the guests. Overall this hotel is highly recommended. My wife and I had a great time. See Yem KAN

L'hotel gode di una posizione strategica, vicino alla stazione della metropolitana di Furong Square, a soli 3 minuti a piedi. Questa stazione si trova a una sola fermata prima della stazione di Wuyi. Se preferite raggiungere a piedi la IFS Tower, ci vorranno circa 20 minuti. Le camere sono moderne e pulite, con un WC intelligente come caratteristica degna di nota. Tuttavia, l'erogazione dell'acqua calda può essere discontinua. Un tocco apprezzabile sono le mascherine gratuite e il minibar rifornito quotidianamente con acqua minerale, Coca-Cola e acqua gassata. Abbiamo prenotato due camere e una di queste è stata aggiornata gratuitamente. Entrambe le camere includevano anche il check-out posticipato fino alle 16:00 senza costi aggiuntivi. Dopo le 16:00, è previsto un supplemento di 30 RMB all'ora, che abbiamo trovato conveniente. Considerato il prezzo ragionevole della camera, non avevamo grandi aspettative per il tè pomeridiano e la colazione gratuiti. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Ci torneremo sicuramente se dovessimo visitare nuovamente Changsha.

The staff is very friendly and act very quickly. The room is spacious, and clean. Best location you could ever hoped for with the railway station is right at the door steps. The breakfast is a bit thin. and not many choices The smoke should be banned though out the facility as the sell spreads to every corner. The carpets needs to be replaced as it appears old

L'esperienza di viaggio è piena!Il trasporto è conveniente, 10 minuti a piedi dal lago, tutti i tipi di cibo vicino al giardino! La metropolitana è molto conveniente in qualsiasi direzione. L'atteggiamento del capo è super buono. Il tempo della settimana è anche dato gratis 🆓. Il dolce cane del negozio 🐶 è molto divertente! Molto consigliato!La prossima volta che vengo a Changsha, sceglierebbe questa casa!

Need to be able to call contact ahead of time (we chat best) to get door code. This is a homestay, more like a bed and breakfast. The location is fantastic and I loved the 4 bedroom layout! Very nice place with 1.5 baths. There were small detail issues like one of the bathroom doors was difficult to open (slider with missing handle and needing oil or better wheels?). If this is ok for you, you will be delighted with this stay. If you are exceptionally tall, the ceilings above and below the loft area may be uncomfortable, but didn't bother nor affect me. Beautiful window views. Our room was on 11th floor.
