La posizione del B&B è eccezionale; sia Laomendong che il Tempio di Confucio (Fuzi Miao) sono facilmente raggiungibili a piedi. Nelle immediate vicinanze c'è anche il Museo delle Mura della Città. Il servizio è discreto, anche se sarebbe stato molto apprezzato un aiuto con i bagagli durante il trasferimento. La pulizia della camera è buona, e la stanza è spaziosa e luminosa. La colazione, sebbene non abbondante, si distingue per la sua pulizia, il buon sapore e la freschezza, con una quantità giusta per non sprecare nulla, il che è un punto a favore. Xiao Mai è molto docile e i bambini l'hanno adorata. Nel complesso, sono molto soddisfatto. La prossima volta che sarò in zona, tornerò sicuramente qui. Consigliatissimo!

I was initially asked by the hotel to leave a five-star review, but after my full stay I can’t do so in good conscience, and I have since adjusted my rating based on the second half of my booking. This was a two-part stay (two separate bookings of five days each), and while there are genuinely strong positives, the overall experience was significantly affected by ongoing service and cleanliness issues. There are still clear strengths to highlight. The location is excellent—quiet, safe, and surrounded by good restaurants, convenience stores, and a pleasant park nearby. The rooms are also very well designed: spacious, comfortable, and equipped with useful amenities such as a washing machine. The layout and overall setup make it a very livable space. The staff were, for the most part, kind and helpful. One staff member in particular was consistently warm and welcoming. When issues were raised, the team did attempt to respond professionally, and I do appreciate that some solutions were offered, including a discounted rate for a future stay. However, there were repeated concerns that affected my experience, particularly during the second half of my stay. Cleanliness remained a consistent issue. Even after rooms were serviced, dust accumulated very quickly—so much so that items like my laptop would be visibly covered overnight. This raises concerns about the overall level of cleanliness and ventilation. In addition, housekeeping services felt inconsistent. On multiple occasions I had to specifically request basic essentials such as bottled water and fresh towels, rather than these being proactively restocked daily as would normally be expected in this type of accommodation. Service consistency also varied. Some days staff would check in or ask whether I needed room cleaning, while on other days there was no such follow-up at all. This lack of routine made the experience feel unpredictable for a stay of this length. There were also concerns regarding pricing and communication during an attempted extension of my stay. I had initially paid approximately 268 rand per night (already at a discounted rate). When I asked to extend for one additional night during the May Day holiday period, I was quoted around 800 rand. While I understand that rates fluctuate during peak demand, this felt inconsistent given the earlier discount offered due to the significant issues experienced in the first rooms. The handling of this request also felt quite rigid initially, although the pricing discussion changed once I indicated I would be leaving a review. By that point, however, I had already made alternative arrangements in another city. I also noticed a change in overall tone and attentiveness from staff following my initial complaints, particularly on the day I was trying to extend my stay. In that instance, even basic housekeeping services were not offered, which contributed to a feeling of inconsistency in service. Ultimately, I think this hotel has strong potential. The location, room design, and general setup are genuinely excellent, and there are staff members who are clearly committed and welcoming. However, the inconsistency in cleanliness standards, basic housekeeping expectations, and service delivery means I cannot recommend it as a reliably high-quality stay at this stage. With more consistent attention to cleanliness and service fundamentals, this could be an excellent hotel experience—but in its current state, it falls short of that standard.

Ho prenotato una suite per 2 notti al giardino di Marriott la notte prima di venire da Xi'an perché volevo visitare Niushoushan, Jinling Xiaocheng e altri luoghi turistici vicino. La posizione del giardino non è male, è proprio accanto alla stazione di metro Hedingqiao, e molti cabine alimentari e negozi di comodità sono solo in basso. Il personale di accoglienza è carino e utile e può parlare molto bene inglese, senza dubbio. Il peggiore era il concierge. Uno dei concierge ha giocato sul suo cellulare ogni momento. Ho preso Didi o il metro almeno quattro o cinque volte al giorno. Ogni volta che passo l'ingresso, suona sul suo cellulare. La parte più frustrante era quando ho ordinato di uscire dall'app. L'uomo di consegna ha detto di mettere la macchina sul concierge proprio accanto a quel tizio, ma qualcuno ha preso il mio pacchetto, e non l'ha notato. I booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations. We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby. We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed. Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel. This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance. We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again. Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed. When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet. Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

Xiying International Youth Hostel. Soggiorno spesso qui e, nonostante sia un ostello per giovani, è adatto anche per persone di mezza età. La hall ha una lampada a forma di luna che è molto bella di sera. Nella hall, la zona pranzo e l'area di lavoro sono rigorosamente separate e non si disturbano a vicenda. È molto tranquillo, ma non solitario. Se non hai voglia di usare dispositivi elettronici e preferisci leggere un libro, puoi sederti o sdraiarti comodamente sui divani morbidi della libreria centrale del salone. C'è un piccolo giardino pensile sul tetto all'aperto. Con le sue colonne romane, è perfetto per scattare foto. Quando arriverà la primavera e i fiori sbocceranno, sarà ancora più bello. Dal tetto si possono ammirare le luci del Bailu Park, uno spettacolo incantevole.

Just had the most incredible stay at Nanjing Yunshuijian Parent-child Resort Hotel! As a foreigner, I was blown away by the laid back atmosphere and abundance of amenities and activities available. From water sports like boating and jetskiing to numerous campsites and restaurants, this place has it all! My personal favorite spot was the Shark Bar restaurant - the owners and staff are phenomenal! The vibe and atmosphere are unbeatable. Highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance. A huge shoutout to the hotel staff and managers for providing exceptional customer service throughout our stay. La stanza è piuttosto piccola. Una volta entrati, sul letto c'è spazio appena per una valigia. Il corridoio è piuttosto stretto, ma è molto pulito. Anche se piccolo, ha tutto. Ha tutto. Il servizio è molto buono e anche la posizione è molto buona. Si trova molto vicino al Tempio di Confucio di Xinjiekou e dista solo 500 metri dall'ingresso della metropolitana. Ho prenotato una stanza singola, adatta alle mie esigenze. Nel complesso sono rimasto abbastanza soddisfatto delle due notti trascorse lì. L'unico problema era che l'insonorizzazione era un po' scarsa e sentivo le persone che parlavano alla reception. Non ho scattato foto, ma quelle nella sezione commenti sono piuttosto reali.

Questo soggiorno ha superato di gran lunga le mie aspettative! Dal drink di benvenuto offerto dalla reception all'arrivo ai dettagli curatissimi, come i cavi di ricarica e l'aromaterapia in camera, l'attenzione ai dettagli era evidente ovunque. La camera godeva di un'eccellente luce naturale, il bagno con doccia e WC separati era impeccabile e persino i prodotti da bagno erano di alta qualità. La sorpresa più grande è stata la colazione, che offriva un'ampia varietà di opzioni cinesi e occidentali, e lo chef ha persino preparato delle omelette fresche dal sapore delizioso. Verso la fine del mio soggiorno, ho dimenticato accidentalmente qualcosa e, dopo aver contattato l'hotel, mi hanno subito aiutato a restituirlo. Il servizio è stato davvero impeccabile. La posizione dell'hotel è eccellente, proprio all'ingresso della zona panoramica del Tempio di Confucio. Lo consiglio vivamente sia ai viaggiatori d'affari che ai turisti!

Nel complesso, la qualità di questo hotel di una catena internazionale è garantita! La vista sul centro di Xinjiekou a Nanchino è davvero imbattibile! Perfetto per Capodanno, con le sue finestre a tutta altezza. I servizi delle camere sono ben tenuti e curati nei minimi dettagli! Il servizio alla reception è eccellente! Il buffet è nella media, ma ci sono molti centri commerciali e ristoranti nelle vicinanze, il che lo rende molto comodo nel complesso. L'hotel offre un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo!

This hostel changed the idea I had of a great hostel! SEE OTHER REVIEWS FOR COMPREHENSIVE UNDERSTANDING CHECK-IN/STAFF: Simple & easy. There is a language barrier with most of the staff, but it's nothing a little patience, on both ends, and a translator can't fix. I was helped to my room with my bags. I personally enjoyed the staff and especially one of the cleaning ladies. She was truly a joy to see every day and seemed like she genuinely liked seeing me. They helped when my food order had issues, twice. I was helped getting I was running late for my train on check-out morning. ROOMS/FACILITIES: Comfortable, clean and curtain for the beds. I the rooms are reasonably spacious. The average person follows the general quiet in the rooms so you can sleep peacefully any time you want. The blanket is thick, some beds have extra little hooks. (Would be nice if they added them for all beds) Pillows are decent, towel and locker provided. Beds have North American & Chinese style plugs. The entire outlet system of the building seems to be that way. AMENITIES/GOOD TO KNOW Laundry detergent, toothbrush/toothpaste individually wrapped units and earplugs provided at no cost. Towel/bed sheet change upon request is offered if stay is 3+ days. The main lobby toilets are used buy restaurants guests from next door. The is security at night (not personally for the hostel, for the alley) Private homes are across the way so keep the volume low to quiet after 10pm. OVERALL/PERSONAL THOUGHTS ” I would recommend staying here for a short or long period. Excellent valut for dollars. I felt very welcomed, comfortable & overall relaxed. My only real complaint is the lack of fridge,microwave and a sink area. As a budget traveler it can get costly having to order or go out for every meal is super inconvenient. To be fair, you can ask for your items to be placed in the staff fridge at the bar. The downside is having to wait and ask for staff to get it for me. This was super frustrating when I wanted my food and had to wait about 20 minutes for someone to finally be able to do it. Not to mention the general inconvenience of not being able to go to a fridge at will. Even though there's a laundry area upstairs, many people will do laundry in the sinks leaving the bathroom floors constantly wet and countertops soaked. Not management's fault but could possibly be addressed in the rules. There are days where a gentleman will come sit outside the hostel or the general alley area with Barky McBarkerson his incredibly annoying dog that's constantly barking at everyone and everything. When they're directly on the property hanging out infront don't even think of enjoying the fresh air peacefully . I think there's a way for management to address bothersome behavior to their guest. IMO if management could somehow provide a common fridge and a microwave, they would be close to top tier hostel all things considered. Review based on multiple stays. Enjoy
