Hotel con parcheggio a Cairns

The atmosphere of the hotel was relaxed and family-friendly, the staff were fast, polite and attentive. The location is very convenient, within a few minutes walk to the pier, night market and supermarket, etc. Restaurants are all around, you can also find some massage shops nearby, easy to get to anywhere we need to, a very satisfying stay during our Christmas break.

L'hotel sembra nuovo e si trova in una posizione molto comoda. È molto vicino al molo della Grande Barriera Corallina, a soli sette minuti a piedi, e la camera offre una vista sull'oceano. Accanto c'è un delizioso ristorante vietnamita che serve pho e c'è un mercato notturno proprio accanto. Il problema principale di questo hotel è il forte odore di muffa, che si nota immediatamente fin dal momento in cui si entra nella hall. Sebbene il servizio fosse eccellente, la camera che ci è stata assegnata inizialmente era estremamente stantia e senza finestre. Dopo averlo segnalato alla reception, la signora ci ha immediatamente cambiato camera e ci ha offerto gratuitamente un upgrade a una con balcone. La nuova camera aveva ancora un odore di muffa, ma la situazione era notevolmente migliorata grazie alla ventilazione. Per motivi di salute, non consiglierei più questo hotel.

We stayed for four nights over the Easter holiday in a panorama sea view room in the new tower. First of all, the location is excellent. The pool area has a sandy beach, and compared to the Hilton next door, the water was much clearer and very pleasant. The view is absolutely beautiful. However, when the tide goes out, it turns into what feels like a “panoramic mudflat view,” so I would recommend carefully considering the timing of your stay. On the other hand, there were several issues with the room. There is no balcony, and the windows cannot be opened. There were mosquitoes in the room, and I was bitten multiple times, which caused itching and swelling. The insect repellent device in the hallway was empty, which made me question the quality of housekeeping management. When I spoke to a female staff member at reception, I was told that only body spray repellent was available, and no further assistance was offered, so I had to purchase and install my own insect repellent. In addition, there was a sewage-like smell coming from the bathroom. The mirror and sink were not properly cleaned and appeared dirty. The room and hallway also had a moldy smell, and due to the humidity, the bed linens felt damp. The duvet was thin and not very comfortable. As I am sensitive to smells, these issues made me feel nauseous and unwell. Later, my husband spoke to a male staff member at reception. Although the hotel was fully booked and we were unable to change rooms, he responded with sincerity, apologized thoroughly, and instructed housekeeping to carry out a deep cleaning. When we returned from going out, the bathroom had been properly cleaned and the sewage smell was gone. The moldy smell in the room did not completely disappear, but it had been masked with deodorizer, and we were able to sleep well that night. However, the same issues returned the following day. As it was the Easter holiday and other hotels were fully booked, we had no choice but to stay until the end of our reservation. Afterward, I checked reviews and found many similar complaints about the moldy smell, which made me regret not researching more thoroughly beforehand. I had assumed that as a five-star hotel, it would be fine. Overall, the reception staff were kind, friendly, and professional. In particular, the male staff member who assisted us was excellent. On the other hand, I felt that the quality of housekeeping needs improvement. In my opinion, these issues are largely due to a design flaw—specifically, the building was designed with aesthetics prioritized over functionality by the construction company and architect, resulting in rooms where windows cannot be opened despite the humid tropical climate. The older tower, which has balconies and windows that can be opened, may not have the same problems. I would not recommend this hotel to those who are sensitive to smells, but for those who are not, it can still be a wonderful place to stay given its location and facilities.

L'hotel è vicino all'aeroporto e il personale della reception è stato molto cordiale. Ho fatto un giro a Green Island e la posizione era ottima, a pochi minuti a piedi dall'hotel. Non c'erano spazzolini da denti in camera, ma era possibile richiederne uno alla reception. Ho trascorso due notti confortevoli. Ci tornerei sicuramente se dovessi tornare a Cairns.

Abbiamo soggiornato per 5 notti in famiglia, eravamo in quattro. La pulizia della camera veniva effettuata quotidianamente, compreso lo smaltimento dei rifiuti e il cambio degli asciugamani. Anche i letti erano puliti, cosa che abbiamo apprezzato. C'erano alcune macchie marroni e odori sugli asciugamani da bagno, ma non è un problema se si portano 2 o 3 asciugamani extra. I letti erano morbidi e ho dormito benissimo. Shampoo, balsamo, sapone per il corpo, sapone per le mani, frigorifero, asciugacapelli e appendiabiti sono tutti forniti, e ci sono due porte USB sul comodino, quindi ricaricare non è un problema. Le pantofole non sono fornite, quindi chi è preoccupato dovrebbe portare le proprie. L'aria condizionata aveva tre impostazioni, ma non era possibile regolare la temperatura. Faceva freddo, quindi l'ho tenuta spenta per tutto il tempo. Dormire con le maniche lunghe va benissimo. Il personale della reception ci ha spiegato i servizi in giapponese e ha anche utilizzato l'app di traduzione del proprio smartphone per aiutarci. Tutti alla reception hanno ascoltato il mio inglese stentato e sono stati molto gentili e disponibili. È stato di grande aiuto. Se volete usare la piscina, basta chiedere alla reception e vi presteranno gli asciugamani. Era una piscina molto bella. La parte anteriore della piscina è profonda, quindi fate attenzione se siete con bambini. Per quanto riguarda la posizione, l'Esplanade è così bella che, anche se ci vogliono circa 20 minuti a piedi per arrivare in centro, potete godervi il panorama durante la passeggiata, quindi il tempo vola. Potete prendere l'autobus 110 dalla fermata di fronte all'ospedale di Cairns, che è vicino, e arrivare in centro in pochissimo tempo. Potete anche andare a Palm Cove dalla fermata dell'autobus sul lato opposto. Una corsa in Uber dall'hotel al centro costa circa 13-16 dollari. Nel complesso è stato fantastico, grazie.

Great for a solo traveller, very busy with themed nights every nights to allow you to get to know others. Heads up if you are clubside though, the music is loud until 3am so if you want an early night I recommend a room not club side

La stanza era pulita e con una cucina ben attrezzata, il letto di grande dimensione re era comodo. Era un po' rumoroso la notte di essere al fronte della strada principale. Il personale di ricezione non era amichevole, ma hanno fatto il loro pezzo. Il tipo di manutenzione è stato molto utile quando abbiamo bisogno di assistenza nelle operazioni di lavaggio. Non è un cattivo alloggio per il prezzo affidabile.

The unit is adequate for my family of six for a 3-night stay. Basic necessities are generally met, and the overall stay was acceptable. However, there were several maintenance and usability issues that affected comfort. Some air-conditioning remotes were faulty or missing batteries, requiring us to swap between rooms to find working ones. The telephone/RJ45 connection head was also broken and left dangling, with wiring not properly connected, which gave a poor impression of upkeep. In terms of sleeping comfort, the beds are quite soft and the pillows offer very little support. The positioning of the electrical wall outlets behind the bed also made it inconvenient, as we had to shift the bed forward to access the sockets. For kitchen use, it would be helpful to provide basic dishwashing supplies such as a small bottle of dishwashing liquid and a sponge, especially when only a few items are used in the dishwasher. On a positive note, the bathroom facilities are in good condition. Water pressure is strong and hot water is consistently available, which made showers comfortable. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but there is clear room for improvement in maintenance and basic guest amenities.

Have to say the best thing for this hotel is its room size, Huge! And water pressure is good. But pain point is really clear, the WIFI is not working in my room (bad signal), I can only sit in lounge/bar area at the ground floor to get WiFi.

Overall we had a good stay here but found the housekeeping policy very strange. There is no housekeeping unless you pay for it (or stay for 8 days). We could change our towels personally at the front desk but were requested to take out our own trash and had no way of vacuuming after a long stay. However, the room was adequate and we very much enjoyed the location, which couldn’t have been better.
