WE WILL COME BACK ALWAYS! Mid January 2023 we had a family emergency and on our way from Cape Town to the Eastern Cape we had a vehicle breakdown. Whilst we had our car being fixed, Santos Express Train Lodge was recommended as a place to stay overnight. We found it not only a place to stay but it became a place of comfort for us. LOVE, EMPATHY and PATIENCE coupled with great SERVICE from the staff is what lead us to taking a decision that we will be back. We then made a reservation for December 2023. WOW; On arrival we were greeted with so much joy and we could feel at home again. Let me mention again that Kim at reception who gave us a warm welcome as well as Zandile at the restaurant; great people. These are people's people and you can tell that it comes natural for them to love and care and they are very consistent. A cherry on top was added to this stay when I saw my wife's excitement when we arrived at our Royal Suite A. WOW! This room was perfect for us as a couple. It has Wifi, Mini Bar fridge, a shower, a bath etc. I really can't fault anything at the moment because so far we've always been treated as a Royal family in Santos Express Train Lodge. great hotel in Mossel bay! We didn't realize Mossel Bay was a busy commercial port, but the hotel delivered: a nice room, comfortable bed, plenty of room and a nice sitting area complete with small kitchenette! We had a nice view of the harbor and were welcomed and shown to our room with kind hospitality. The property is nice and we ended up eating in the restaurant adjacent for dinner: Cafe Gannet. It was was packed, and we know why--terrific food and service! Although Mossel Bay itself was somewhat disappointing for us as part of the ”Garden Route”, the hotel was terrific.

Abbiamo soggiornato per 3 notti. Ho pagato in anticipo, ma quando siamo arrivati all'hotel mi è stato detto che mi dovevo ancora raddoppiare l'importo che ho pagato in anticipo, che ho rifiutato di fare. Dopo ulteriori discussioni e tempo di attesa, è stato finalmente ordinato e potremmo avere la chiave della nostra stanza. La colazione era buona ogni mattina, ma il cibo al loro ristorante giorno/sera non è davvero grande. La sala era di buona dimensione, pulita e vista bella, una piscina di buona dimensione da godere, ma era calda e non c'erano ombrelle per le sedie accanto alla piscina. Ho chiesto la ricezione se potevano metterci un po', ma hanno detto che controllerebbero se avessero, ma non sono mai tornati a me o metteranno un po' di cose! La macchina vendita alla ricezione aveva anche un problema e dovevamo guidare per ottenere bevande fredde per i bambini e qualcosa per la stanza. Il bar di spiaggia sotto suona musica molto forte fino a mezzanotte, e non riuscivo a dormire ogni notte prima che la musica alta finisse.
