Che splendore questo hotel, davvero un'oasi di pace nella comunque splendida ma ruvida Lisbona. Vantando giustamente l'appartenenza alla catena di alberghi Leading Hotel of the world è sontuoso ma intimo, una splendida villa con un piccolo parco dominante il mare poco distante dall'alto di una delle collinette di cui è punteggiata Lisbona, in un quartiere elegante a metà strada tra la zona di Belem ed il centro storico. Tutto è magnifico, dalle ampie camere che dominano il parco e la splendida piscina esterna, alla piccola e deliziosa spa con piscina interna riscaldata, alle varie sale colazione e ristorante lussuosamente arredati in stile neoclassico. Ma ciò che più ci ha incantato è l'eccellente servizio e l'attenzione al cliente, comunque mai stucchevole ma molto calorosa e sentita. E' un albergo sicuramente costoso ma offre talvolta tariffe piuttosto convenienti che glorificano un rapporto qualità prezzo a livelli altissimo.

My wife and I stayed at the Pestana Palace Lisboa in October because I attended a conference on the property. Pros that I experienced: - The property is beautiful. - It had a full-service hotel with a highly professional and helpful staff. - Lush gardens on the property with tons of different plants - Indoor pool and fitness center - Nice room (clean, sizable, well stocked with coffee) - Great breakfast - Outdoor aviary in the garden - Walled, secure property (but not in a bad area) Things that looked awesome, but I didn’t get the chance to use due to the time of year: - Outdoor pool - Garden house (looked like a small café or bar in the middle of the garden area) - In-house bar and restaurant The only disadvantage, to my mind, was the location. There is a tram stop at the back of the property (you’d walk out the front gate and follow the wall to the back to get the tram or bus) …. Still, the property is on the outskirts of downtown. There aren’t many restaurants or cafes nearby. The trams/busses don’t run as often as downtown, and it takes 10-15 minutes to get to the city center and even longer to the castle on the east side of town. In contrast, we stayed at an Airbnb in the northwest center of Lisbon a few days before the conference. Staying in town allowed us to wander through town easily and experience more of the Lisbon feel. If I were going again for pleasure, I’d probably opt for something in the north end of the downtown area again. If you don't mind the distance from most of what's happening in town then this is a wonderful choice.

We are so glad we chose to stay here - everything was wonderful and we felt well taken care of. The hotel is beautiful and centrally located - we were able to walk to many attractions and the neighborhood was fun to explore. The staff's attention to detail and pride in the hotel was evident - from reception, to the restaurant to housekeeping - everyone was friendly and professional. We felt taken care of and welcomed by everyone we encountered. Just after booking, we read some negative reviews about the Bica rooms that made us nervous enough to wonder if we should upgrade. After seeing our room in person (Bica 7), we felt much better, and by the end of our stay, we knew we would be happy to stay in that room again. The Bica rooms are not 'in the basement' as some other reviews have stated. While they are on floors below main reception, keep in mind that the hotel is on a steep hill and these rooms look out over the downward slope. Our floor to ceiling windows were still above street level, and we were afforded a beautiful view of the pedestrianized old town streets below. Yes, there are some buildings across the streets with windows that face the hotel, but we never felt a lack of privacy - for one, the room had sun shade blinds on all windows that diffused the bright Portuguese sunlight, but they also provided privacy from anyone who might happen to look into our room from the windows across the street (they didn't). It is something anyone who has lived in a city would be familiar and comfortable with. We heard street noise only when the garbage was being collected, and the windows provided enough soundproofing to ensure that noise was very light and brief. Our room was very spacious, and even with the sun shades down, there was plenty of natural light and it felt airy and gracious. The AC kept the room comfortable, and we were happy to spend the hottest hours of each day relaxing in the room. The bed was huge (and one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in). The bathroom is small, but beautifully designed. The shower water pressure was glorious and we appreciated the Aesop toiletries. The hotel was currently doing renovations on our floor, but you would never know it. There were a few discreet renovation notices on doors and we saw some workmen during the day, but the sound was well insulated behind multiple doors and we were never disturbed. The privacy was actually remarkable - even though the hotel was fully booked during our stay, it was never noisy and we never felt crowded. We saw other guests occasionally, but it never felt like we were competing for space in the common areas or for the staff's attention. We enjoyed lunch and cocktails at the rooftop bar every day (I do not drink and appreciated the no-alcohol cocktail options), and our visit to Suba on the last night was nothing short of exceptional. Hotel esternamente modernissimo, internamente molto classico. Ambienti spaziosi e rilassanti, corridoi ovattati, quattro grandi ascensori con musica rilassante e raramente presi con altri ospiti. Camere comode e sufficientemente insonorizzate con una splendida vista su buona parte della città. Bagno spazioso abbastanza da non far pesare il fatto che manchi una finestra. Personale disponibile e discreto, la spa forse un po’ piccola visto il numero di camere e di ospiti ma una volta capiti gli orari migliori riuscivamo anche a fare idromassaggio, bagno turno e qualche vasca da soli. Il ristorante assolutamente da provare se doveste prenotare in questo albergo. Graditissimo l’omaggio di spumante e torta a sorpresa mandato in camera per il compleanno del mio compagno. Sicuramente una bella esperienza che ripeterei volentieri.

Ho vissuto in questo hotel per la seconda volta, e la prima volta che ho vissuto in un posto di età molto lontano, perché il tempo è solo otto giorni. Quando sono tornato, la stanza è in gamba, e ho bisogno di vivere in un piano. In generale, gli accessori sanitari della stanza spesso dimenticano di aggiornare. Tutti i cinque giorni di vita, ho bisogno di presentare un memorandum per sostituire le attrezzature sanitarie, perché spesso dimenticano, Quando andiamo, chiamiamo l'auto e prendiamo i bagagli per il taxi, la prossima volta non vivremo più in questo hotel!

The three of us-two parents and our 20 year old-stayed for five nights in March 2023. We chose to travel to Lisbon primarily because this property came highly recommended by our older child and her aunt who stayed in October of 2022. The hotel certainly didn’t disappoint. The public areas, restaurants and the rooms were nicely appointed. The furniture was not the newest, but was of quality and very clean. The service was attentive, but not aggressive nor overwhelming. As if in anticipation, the hotel provided us with all the comforts without having to ask. And on occasion when we needed something minor, they swiftly accommodated. To us luxury travel means being able to relax and be pampered in a private and peaceful setting without extra unnecessary attention. The level was perfect at the Four Seasons Ritz. We liked our experience so much that we are planning to stop over for a couple days in March 2024 on our trip to Europe. We highly recommend this property.

Abbiamo soggiornato quattro notti e abbiamo avuto un bel tempo. Le camere erano pulite e confortevoli. Il colazione era anche molto bello. Tutto il personale che abbiamo interagito era assolutamente fantastico. Arrivammo all'hotel poco dopo mezzanotte. La posizione dell'hotel è perfetta per passare giorni di nuvola a Lisbona. Ci siamo camminati quasi ovunque. Devo certamente raccomandare l'AVANI Libertà.

I booked this hotel as it had a decent corporate rate, plus I have stayed at other InterContinental hotels in the past and have been impressed. interContinental Doha as a great example, so I had high expectations. The hotel is in a decent area with connections to various parts of the city. The room wasn't very large, but was decent and the bed was comfortable. It didn't have any kind of wow factor though, it was fine but not exceptional. I guess where my expectation fell through the worst was with breakfast. Simply wasn't very good, and was exactly the same every day. I often judge hotels by their food, and breakfast buffet quality. Essentially from my opinion, nothing was homemade. Croissants were the type they thaw and bake. Quality 5 star hotels will have their own pastry chefs to make these from scratch. The egg options also were awful. No omelette options, just fried eggs in buffet container or scrambled. The fried eggs were like rubber, not even fried it seemed almost steamed. And scrambled were runny with strange taste so didn't eat them. The ”rosti” potatoes were essentially round hashbrowns that would have been frozen and reheated for the buffet. Quality again would be actual handmade rosti. To me food quality is important, and was very much looking forward to the breakfasts here as was InterContinental after all, but was Very disappointed. The breakfast staff were professional and nice, but again food quality really needs to be improved significantly for a supposed 5 star hotel. I did enjoy my dinner at their Akla restaurant. Tasty and nicely plated food. Lastly the porters never acknowledge you at the entrance when you come or go. Vast difference in feeling of 5 star hotels when they always acknowledge and appreciate you and your business with the hotel, they need to improve there as well.

Lovely hotel with extremely friendly, helpful staff and great rooms. It has a pleasant outdoor area for sunbathing and a small pool. The hotel is located out of the centre (which may not be ideal for everyone and is a long walk) but we knew this when we booked it. It is only approx 4 Euros for an Uber into the centre, or 2 Euros per person on the bus which run every 20 minutes (and the bus stop is very close to the hotel). The staff are all great and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. You can ask for gluten fee bread and muffins each morning, if needed. The room was spacious, clean and exactly what we needed for our 4 day stay. Some reviews we saw complain that the hotel is on the flight path for the airport but we found no issue at all with this - no noise and no sleep disruption. We had major issues on our last day because our flight was cancelled due to ATC issues in the UK. We were effectively stranded and needed to organise extra accommodation, replacement flights, trains etc. Fernanda let us use the reception laptop and she helped us with printing and answering a lot of questions! She also arranged a room for the night in a 'sister' hotel in central Lisbon so that we had somewhere to stay because the Jardim da Lapa was full. She really helped to make a stressful situation less tense!

Ora, nel 2022, vi ho soggiornato ed ho potuto verificarne l'eccellenza. Centrale, vicino alla foce del Tago, affascinante, con un delizioso cortile-giardino, camere confortevoli, tranquille, pulitissime, colazione di gran classe, personale gentile ed efficiente: insomma, il meglio che si possa desiderare. E poichè ho soggiornato 2 notti all'arrivo del mio tour in Alentejo e poi una notte alla fine del tour, ho trovato una bottiglia di spumante come omaggio in camera. Grazie! Il miglior albergo che mi sia capitato di frequentare.

Ora, nel 2022, vi ho soggiornato ed ho potuto verificarne l'eccellenza. Centrale, vicino alla foce del Tago, affascinante, con un delizioso cortile-giardino, camere confortevoli, tranquille, pulitissime, colazione di gran classe, personale gentile ed efficiente: insomma, il meglio che si possa desiderare. E poichè ho soggiornato 2 notti all'arrivo del mio tour in Alentejo e poi una notte alla fine del tour, ho trovato una bottiglia di spumante come omaggio in camera. Grazie! Il miglior albergo che mi sia capitato di frequentare.
