The House on the Pink Street in Lisbon

We stayed at the House on Pink Street which was very convenient to all sites in Lisbon. Everything was within walking distance including restaurants, historical sites, and the Time Out Market. Our one bedroom apartment/hotel was very clean and well equipped with kitchenware and utensils. There were even snacks and drinks in the fridge for us. The cleaning staff were very accommodating and came by daily. Our concierge Joana was wonderful and contacted us even before we arrived. She managed all our needs and made our stay even better. We had an afternoon walking tour with Miguel the day we arrived who was superb and gave us a great introduction to the city. The next day, we did a morning walking tour with Ana who had tremendous knowledge and took us up the hill to the castle.

While there were many highlights to staying at THOPS, at the top of the list are the hosts: Joana and John. From their messages before our arrival to their incredible attention to detail to their tidal wave of friendliness — these people are at the top of their game

Every aspect of this apartment was really well thought through. Everything you need is there. There is even a selection of very smart umbrellas, although I was lucky and didn't see any rain during my visit to Lisbon. My apartment was a beautiful spacious room with lovely tall windows. Bathroom, living area and bedroom were fabulous. There are delicious free drinks, fruit and biscuits and many other treats including a guided evening walk. It's extremely comfortable and the location in central Lisbon near the shopping district and the old town is perfect. However, for me by far the best aspect of this accomodation was the amazing staff, especially Gonzalo and Joana. They were incredibly helpful to me when I had to suddenly leave my previous accommodation. They made everything so simple and treated me with great kindness. I was a woman travelling alone, and they made me feel that I had friends in Lisbon who were looking out for me. I have been all over the world in the past 25 years and have never before found such a welcoming place. Do not hesitate to book. You will have a wonderful stay!
