Mercure Danang French Village Hotel Review
Mercure Danang French Village is in a fantastic location, being the only hotel on the hill. Everything you need—restaurants, a market, the theme park, and attractions—is within walking distance, making it very convenient for visitors.
The hotel’s interior design is simple, so don’t expect a very modern or luxurious room. It fits the theme of the French Village but may feel a bit dated for those who prefer contemporary decor.
However, the biggest downside is the front desk service. When we arrived to check in, there was a large crowd, but no clear signage or staff directing guests where to queue. I initially lined up in the wrong place and only realized after 10 minutes that I had to start over in the correct queue. Despite peak hours, only two counters were open, which resulted in a long wait of around 20-30 minutes. If there’s a large family ahead of you, expect to wait even longer.
Another inconvenience is that guests have to carry their luggage up the hill to the hotel. Since I was traveling with my 5-year-old, I was lucky to have just one suitcase, but for families with more bags, this could be quite a hassle.
Overall, while the location is unbeatable and convenient for exploring Ba Na Hills, the check-in process and front desk service could be much better managed.

Apart from the noise from the neighbouring bars at night, there really isn’t any complaints from me for this property. I was in Danang for a retreat and the neighbours were rowdy till late one of the nights, the front desk and duty manager went over and beyond to make sure I had a room to change to and ensured that I had a comfortable stay for the rest of my trip. Plus points for having great coffees in the lounge too!

Beautiful, new, clean hotel with modern amenities and located right on the beachfront. Fantastic views and friendly staff. Amazing shower and super comfy bed which were the highlights for us after 6 weeks backpacking in hostels! However, the check out process was unnecessarily long and complicated (they made us feel a bit embarrassed having to check the room before we left) and instead of taking charges off the (hefty) deposit - voided this and made us pay again separately, which made no sense. Keep this in mind if you have an airport taxi on a time limit waiting outside!

Dopo il check-out, abbiamo tenuto i bagagli fino a tardi. Anche il personale che ritira i bagagli è molto gentile!!! Anche il personale che non parla inglese è cordiale, ti accompagna direttamente e ti spiega a gesti.
L'acqua calda in camera è buona e il condizionatore è freddo, ma il frigorifero non è freddo

We booked the hotel for 4 nights, not for the location but for its facilities and price. We hired a motor bike for 3 days, so getting around is no issue with the hotel not locate walking distance from eateries.
The staffs are nice and courteous. The included buffet breakfast excelled our expectations. The hotel is popular with the tour groups booking. Hence on the days with tour groups , the breakfast are buffet style. Otherwise, you can order from menu for breakfast.
The roof top pool was so good on the afternoon to cool down.
Will stay there again, but We would book a room with larger windows.

left my heart at this place and defo a place I called home when in Da Nang.
stayed there for too many nights and will stay many more nights when I go back to DN. From the first day I checked in, the lobby and resort is just GRAND and BEAUTIFUL. huge lobby with carefully chosen design and immediately I can feel the warm service feeling and incredible stay. there are too many things I LOVE about this place and I will break it down carefully.
ROOM; stayed in 4 different rooms from their elite deluxe, junior king, and their Santorini suite. and my favorite defo the one by the pool area, the room was huge and smelled so good, bed, OH MY GOD! one of the comfiest beds Ive ever slept in. I had such good naps and night sleep. The temperature was very comfortable and the fan was a plus during hot days. amenities were sufficient from toiletries to fridge, tea, and coffee, and the supplies were always replenished daily.
POOL; AMAZING! Another best part about this resort is the pool is huge and comfortable water temp. my morning laps and afternoon dips are just LOVELY!
MEALS; The morning breakfast was a spread of goodness options and selections from Western (bread, butter, bacon, eggs, and pastry) to Asian and Vietnamese locals. I've tried everything and it was oh-so delicious. the Saigon coffee was defo a slap!
* the elixir bar by the pool also serves nice cocktails, ice-cold beers, and lunch/dinner service (yes! i spent too much time in the resort and doesn't really go out haha)

I was terribly ill during my first week but I was well taken care of, and you guys too celebrated my birthday on this trip, it was so special and heartwarming. Miss Lieu (i miss you and thank you for you) the F&B manager and his team, the room division team (FO, concierge, HK, SEC) basically everyone was just incredible. you are all the faces of the great service hospitality industry. service was warm, kind, polite, and just *chef's kiss. thank you, thank you, thank you.
If I may give a little feedback it would be that the drinking water supply daily in the room was not enough for the all-year warm weather in Vietnam. I have always needed to ask more and it is okay to charge for the extra price but there were 2 times I requested more water; the answer from the receptionist repeatedly was that the water bottle gaven only 2 bottles a day (it was tiny bottle) and if we would like more that it is not free and sadly my request by phone was not met, waited for half an hour and had to walk to the lobby to personally asked about more water and yes you can charge me for it, Another hiccup would be that the sound insulation is quite poor, you really need to find and choose quieter room if you are noise sensitive.
BUT, ALL IN ALL, I think I've said more than enough about my pleasant stay with Risemount Premier in general, and I can not wait to go back home :))

My only thoughts are that the hotel is not really beach facing if you select the sea face room..is only partial. Corridor can get a bit noisy if other guests come back late and interior looks old bcos of the finishing. There is no body lotion provided. Breakfast is excellent

Some of the highlights:
- Our twin room (cheapest option) got upgraded to a room with sea view 🤩. It was the first time ever we got an upgrade and we were so grateful. It was lovely to have a balcony looking out over the beach and sea, listening to the waves. In a twin room they allow you to have two kids (as well as two adults) as long as they fit in the beds. The beds are 1.20 wide, so that was no problem for us. It made it a very affordable option! The beds were very comfortable. We also loved having a fridge, a very hot and spacious shower and robes. The room was cleaned very well every day. We also received new towels, water and tea/coffee every day.
- The staff was so friendly, helpful and smiley. Whether it was at reception, at breakfast, cleaning staff, staff in the rooftop bar or in the swimming pool: everyone was just great! After only one day they recognised us. Special thanks to Thao who answered all my questions before booking and Josh who was always there to help us at reception. He even helped me to print some travel documents before leaving.
- We LOVE the swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. We spend so much time there during our stay. The pool is shaded so we never had to worry about sunscreen for the kids. There were lovely benches to relax on and big fluffy towels (no need to bring any).
- Breakfast! Basically everything you can possibly think of is available! There is a huge buffet, but you can also order from a menu (which the kids loved, because there were pancakes, waffles and french toast on it). We really appreciated the long breakfast hours (6.30-10.30 and in weekend 6.30-11.00). Its nice just taking your time and being able to have another coffee with a pastry after breakfast. And as a Dutch person I especially appreciated the available cheeses 🧀.
- We loved it that everything was so new in the hotel and the style is very cool. Lots of art to look at. The lobby is very spacious with lots of seating options and there is always cold water, popcorn and some fresh fruits available for guests. There are 3 lifts and we never had to wait long to get in.
- The gym is great (according to my husband 😆).
Some small points of improvement
- The hot tub has quite a lot of sand inside and should be cleaned more often.
- Our room cards got deactivated a few times which meant we had to go to reception before we could enter our room.
- One day the room wasn’t cleaned, but we asked around 16.30 and it was solved straight away.
- We had dinner at the rooftop bar one night and the food and staff was great, but there aren’t many options to sit/eat comfortably with kids. I think there used to be a restaurant on another floor with more traditional seating, but I don’t think it was open when we were there.
Highly recommend staying at Radisson Red! And make sure to include breakfast, it’s totally worth it. We booked on Trip.com (which was the cheapest I could find after comparing all platforms) and thought we got great value for money!

UUtente ospiteI’ve stayed in many hostels and hotels across Vietnam and around the world, but this has to be one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Let me start with the positives: the room was spacious, but unfortunately, that’s where the good news ends.
The cleanliness was highly questionable. The sheets were stained, and I couldn’t help but doubt if they’d been washed at all. As a solo traveler, I was given a twin room, which provided the option of using two beds. However, both beds were equally dirty, leaving me with no decent option.
The bathroom, while visually appealing, was let down by the subpar toiletries. The shampoo smelled like an overpowering, generic men’s product, more suited to a budget gym locker room than a guest accommodation. A neutral scent would have been far more appropriate. Additionally, there was no hairdryer in the room—a real inconvenience if you have long hair like mine. The provided slippers were oversized, clearly designed for men, adding another layer of frustration.
While I was glad to have a TV, it was nearly unusable. The YouTube app, which was a primary reason I booked the room, wouldn’t connect, and the TV itself was slow and difficult to operate. All in all, what should have been a relaxing stay was riddled with small but cumulative annoyances.
The worst part, however, was leaving the room and heading to the dining hall. Breakfast was a major disappointment. The options were overwhelmingly carb-heavy and catered mainly to Vietnamese tastes, with dishes like rice, noodles, and curry. For a hostel that presumably caters to international guests, it’s baffling that the breakfast options were so limited and unappealing to a Western palate. The dining hall was also overcrowded, with too many guests at once, including children playing on phones at full volume—a noisy and stressful way to start the day.
Service was inconsistent and, at times, awkward. On one occasion, a staff member greeted me with “Namaste,” assuming I was Indian, which left me taken aback. Some staff were better trained than others, but the overall experience was far from smooth. For instance, I ordered sunny-side-up eggs one morning, which were available, but the next day, I was told they weren’t offered and was given overly greasy fried eggs instead. This lack of consistency and the apparent lack of training among the staff were glaring issues.
The dining hall itself was uncomfortably hot, making meals even less enjoyable. Tissue was nowhere to be found, adding to the overall discomfort.
I chose this place partly because of its location, which is conveniently close to many bars, cafés, and the beach. However, it was also advertised as soundproof, which couldn’t be further from the truth. The constant noise from other guests, particularly children playing with the doorbells and loud voices at all hours, meant I never had a peaceful night’s sleep. Being woken up between 3 to 6 am became a daily occurrence, and it left me exhausted and frustrated.
In conclusion, this hostel was far from worth the premium price. The service, quality, and overall experience fell drastically short of expectations. Here I am, still in my room with blood stained sheets, on the verge of booking another place because I simply cannot stay here any longer. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

TTraveling TanIl mio recente soggiorno al Fivitel Queen è stato una serie di sfortunati eventi che mi hanno lasciato piuttosto deluso. Sembrava che un disastro seguisse l'altro, creando nel complesso un'esperienza piuttosto frustrante. Dal momento in cui sono arrivato, ho riscontrato diversi problemi che hanno influito in modo significativo sul mio soggiorno.
Per cominciare, entrando nella mia stanza, ho scoperto che l'interruttore della luce non funzionava. Questo può sembrare un piccolo inconveniente. Questo problema avrebbe dovuto essere risolto prima del mio check-in, poiché è una necessità fondamentale per qualsiasi ospite.
Inoltre, la presenza di pulci nel mio letto è stata una sorpresa allarmante e molto spiacevole. Ciò ha sollevato preoccupazioni sugli standard generali di pulizia e manutenzione dell'hotel. Trovare parassiti in uno spazio apparentemente confortevole non è qualcosa che nessun ospite si aspetta o merita.
Inoltre, ho riscontrato problemi con le prese di corrente nella mia stanza. Erano bloccati, rendendomi inizialmente impossibile caricare i miei dispositivi. Sebbene la manutenzione abbia risolto il problema mentre ero nella stanza, si è trattato di un inconveniente che avrebbe potuto essere evitato con un'adeguata ispezione e preparazione prima del mio arrivo.
Nel tentativo di porre rimedio alla situazione, il personale dell'hotel si è offerto di trasferirmi in un'altra stanza. Tuttavia, questa soluzione non ha fatto altro che aumentare la mia delusione. La nuova stanza aveva un condizionatore malfunzionante che emetteva un forte ronzio e trasportava un forte odore di spray per insetti. Ho segnalato anche le pulci in questo letto. Era lontano dall'ambiente confortevole e piacevole che avevo sperato.
Dopo un altro cambio di stanza, mi sono finalmente ritrovato in una stanza dove il condizionatore funzionava correttamente. Tuttavia, sono stati necessari dei lavori di manutenzione per sistemarlo prima che mi trasferissi, causando ancora un altro inconveniente e un ritardo nell'sistemarmi nel mio alloggio.
Per finire, l'addetto alla reception mi ha inspiegabilmente svegliato dal sonno alle 21:25 per informarmi sulle mie esigenze di trasporto per l'aeroporto. Il problema avrebbe potuto essere risolto in qualsiasi altro momento, ad esempio durante il check-in o il check-out, o nelle prime ore della giornata. È stato un disturbo inutile che ha aggiunto ulteriore frustrazione alla mia esperienza già travagliata.
Nonostante queste numerose delusioni e disagi, devo riconoscere alcuni aspetti positivi. L'ultima stanza in cui ho alloggiato era fresca e confortevole e mi ha dato un po' di sollievo dopo la tumultuosa serie di eventi. Il Wi-Fi funzionava bene, permettendomi di rimanere connesso, e la vicinanza dell'hotel alla spiaggia era sicuramente una caratteristica conveniente. Inoltre, ho apprezzato la presenza di un bel bar sul tetto, che offriva un'atmosfera piacevole per rilassarsi e godersi l'ambiente circostante.
In conclusione, il mio soggiorno al Fivitel Queen è stato rovinato da una serie di sfortunati incidenti che hanno messo in ombra gli aspetti positivi dell'hotel. Sebbene l'ultima stanza avesse una connessione Wi-Fi affidabile e l'attraente bar sul tetto offrisse un po' di comfort, non sono riusciti a compensare i contrattempi e gli inconvenienti iniziali che si sono verificati. Spero che la direzione dell'hotel prenda sul serio questi problemi, affrontandoli tempestivamente per garantire un'esperienza più piacevole ai futuri ospiti.

Vvale92This hotel is lovely! In the outskirts of the city, but not too far away from it, it has a private beach with white sand and an awesome view. Their breakfast is rich and varied and their restaurant offers all-day dining service. They also offers tours to the nearby landmarks and attractions if needed. Definitely recommend this hotel if you want to fully relax and enjoy a beach holiday.

Allora vai prima a controllare le persone che sono arrivate dopo. E prima di restare qui, devi verificarlo Quel giorno non c'era festa al 10° piano perché era molto rumoroso. Alle 21:00 scesi e chiesi al dipendente se potevo cambiare stanza. Perché mamma e papà non riescono a dormire. Il dipendente ha detto che non poteva, ma lo avrebbe chiamato per dirgli di ridurre il rumore e alle 22 ha informato il dipendente che il rumore era forte come prima e che non riusciva a dormire affatto. Il dipendente ha detto che il lavoro era quasi finito. Quindi gli ho dato un'altra possibilità. Era l'una di notte, quindi il rumore era silenzioso. La mattina sono sceso e ho chiesto al personale se stasera ci sarebbe stata una festa. Se c'è, chiederò di cambiarmi per dormire al piano terra. che il dipendente ha informato che non ce n'era

VVelIt's going to be a rather long review. We had booked through trip.com, and we arrived around midnight. There was some mix-up due to which our booking was not in hotel records. But I had all the details and had already paid. We had booked for 4 nights. 7th June till 11th June. I need to mention here that it wasn't the hotel's fault.
In spite of not being the hotel's mistake, the night shift receptionist Mr. Quan was so apologetic that this had happened and apologised to us many times and immediately arranged an upgraded room us.
But for the next day the room was not available. The day shift staff ”Miss Suong” took charge and asked to continue without planned activities, and at the end of the day, we had to go to another hotel nearby. All our luggage was transferred to that hotel and, of course, with an upgraded room. We spent the night there, then the next day, we continued with our activities further.
Back in the evening, our luggage was again transferred back to Nhat Ming by their staff.
For the remaining 2 days. We got an upgraded room with superb Seaview.
During the 4 days, time and again, Mr Quan, Miss Suong and 2 more personnel, Miss Huyen, Miss Linh and Mr Minh took care of our family personally, may it be during the breakfast, arranging for our Bana Hill trip or our beach activities. Mr. TruongThey really made us feel at home.
Special mention to Miss Suong and Mr Quan. Thank you both so much. 🙏🙏

Now for the people who want to know about the rest of the hotel. The rooms are large, comfortable, clean, and well ventilated. The crystal clear beach is just 2 mins of walk. To experience sun rise, you can get the best view from your hotel's sea view room on the higher floors. Good maintenance. You get what you pay for. But in Nhat Minh Hotel, you get more than that.
As far as the breakfast is concerned, good healthier choices but without compromising on taste. Freshly cooked eggs upon request on the spot. Many varieties, both local and continental.
About the amenities, just name it, and you have it with 5 mins walk.
If you want trouble free, the hotel can arrange for trips and tours. Most of the attractions around Da Nang are within VND 60000 or USD 2.40.
Finally, thank you so much, Nhat Minh Hotel. I really owe you one.
