"공항 근처 호텔을 찾고있다면 진짜 완벽! 언제 도착하든 셔틀 버스를 제공하고 공항 샌딩도 해줘요. SUV같은 차고 저는 중국 번호가 없어서 Wechat으로 연락했는데 정말 빠르게 셔틀버스 배차를 도와줬어요. 전화하면 셔틀 보내준다고 해서 긴장했는데 중국어 하나도 모르는 저도 Wechat으로 해냈어요.
그리고 정말 깨끗하고 넓은 방에 스태프가 정말 친절해요. 공항에 물건을 두고 와서 샌딩 부탁드렸는데 물건 꼭 찾으라며 바로 데려다 주셨어요 ㅜㅜ 덕분에 짐도 찾고 제가 중국어를 못하는데 계속 번역기 사용하면서 제 편의를 위해 소통하려고 노력했어요.
다시 한 번 감사의 인사를 드리고 다음에 또 지난공항 인근 호텔이 필요하다면 주저없이 예약할거에요. 아! 이 가격에 이 서비스 말이 안돼요 그냥 DAY USE해도 만족할 가격. 저는 실제로 4시간 썼는데 그래도 가격 값어치한다고 생각했어요!

"Even I received a free upgrade for a night the stay was not so comfortable.
First I did not find a pick up at the Airport to the hotel. It was not possible to reach the hotel by Phone.
Second my room was far away from the elevator and the floor a deep carpet.
Third the dinner at the afternoon was 40 RMB more expensive than on the poster advertised. Most of the buffet was a typical hotpot.
The free Shuttle back to the Airport was ok, the rooms are exklusive and great, free Softdrinks, free tea and coffee… breakfast might be better."

"The room is spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the bathroom drain emitted a very unpleasant odour that was not addressed. Breakfast is simple but tasty. The evening receptionists though helpful looked unkempt and disheveled with their shirt hanging out, their ties loosened as they addressed customers while looking at their phones reminded me of shabby students. They were helpful I have to say but gave the hotel a poor image. Management must address staff appearance. The airport shuttle though functional is cramped and has poor suspension"

La signora pulizia della stanza molto attentamente e buono. La stanza è sempre pulita e tempestiva. La stanza di lavanderia ha 5 lavastoviglie e 5 asciugamani - mi piaceva. Situazione vicino al metro, ma non molti negozi. Tuttavia, devo solo camminare per meno di 10 minuti per raggiungere negozi e ristorante.

As a foreigner on a solo business trip to China, when my phone couldn't connect to the local network, it meant I had no way to pay for anything. I couldn't buy food, couldn't get around, and was completely cut off from the outside world. I was filled with a sense of helplessness being alone in a foreign land.
Upon hearing this, the hotel staff immediately contacted a nearby China Unicom service center where I could get a SIM card using my passport. The next morning, Ms. Chu Yi from the front desk, concerned about my language barrier and difficulty getting around, proactively offered to accompany me to the service center to help with the procedures. The moment my phone successfully connected to the network, what I felt was not just the restoration of a signal, but a profound sense of relief.
This warmth continued throughout my entire stay: the housekeeping staff thoughtfully prepared a power adapter in my room; the restaurant staff enthusiastically recommended delicious and agreeable dishes during my meals. From Chu Yi's exceptional initiative at the front desk to the meticulous and warm service from housekeeping and the restaurant, your actions perfectly embodied the meaning of ”a home away from home.” This transcends nationality—it's all about heartfelt care.
Jinan is a warm city, but Atour is even warmer. On all my future business trips to China, I will definitely choose to stay at Atour. I wish Atour and the wonderful Ms. Chu Yi all the best

While we had a mostly pleasant experience, there were noticeable issues that prevent us from agreeing with the 4-star classification.

- Location: The hotel is conveniently located inside Wanda Mall, making shopping and dining easily accessible.
The Negatives (Why It’s Not 4-Star)
- Cleanliness Issues: The room wasn’t cleaned to a 4-star (or even 3-star) standard. We found nail clippings on the bedside mat, indicating poor vacuuming.
- Shower Water Pressure: The water pressure in the shower was quite low, which was inconvenient.
- Breakfast Limitations: While the Asian food options were good, there were very few Western choices. Additionally, the Western cutlery felt sticky and wasn’t properly cleaned.
- Staff Sleeping at Reception: On our second morning, when we tried to check out early, the reception staff were asleep on the couches. We understand they may have been exhausted, but this is unprofessional for a 4-star hotel.
Final Verdict
The Madison Hotel is a decent option, but we’d rate it as a solid 3-star hotel, not 4-star. If you prioritize location and comfort over luxury service and cleanliness, it’s a reasonable choice. However, management should address housekeeping and staff training to meet higher standards.
Would we stay again? Possibly, but with adjusted expectations.
