We stop here as we made our way through Canada hwy 1. The staff was friendly and helpfully. The hotel seem new and was very clean. They have a nice workout area. We also did a load of laundry 3 dollar for a wash and 1 dollar for the dryer which worked for us . The breakfast was good and well stocked . Nice fried eggs, oatmeal with a lot of topping choices, make your own mini waffles, breads. Bacon , sausage fresh fruit bananas, apples , muffins and blueberries scones. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The only issues I have was no tea or coffee in the lobby only for breakfast. The coffee pot only made standard coffee in the room and it was not very good . The room was so dry and there was no water given I was took you have to buy. I feel that was wrong when you are a status elite member .

Love this hotel! Extremely clean modern and comfy. Bed was excellent. Shower was fantastic and the king suite was beautifully decorated and roomy. Every part of the hotel was super clean even the outside grounds. Lots of nice little touches that did not go unnoticed. The staff was super friendly and check in was a breeze. It’s close to the keg, Costco and Boston pizza all within walking distance. I would not hesitate to stay here over and over again. The pool looked super inviting especially for kids. We stay in lots of hotels and this one is 100% high top 5!

We stayed here for a night in the middle of a massive road trip from Banff to Brandon. We booked at short notice and got a couple of rooms last min. The rooms were pretty decent, it’s clearly an old motel that’s been slightly renovated to fit the Ramada style. But our room next to the car park was actually decent, the shower was new and the bed comfy, air con worked well as well. We used the pool and hot tub to help our weary legs and it was great! No major complaints here at all! Enjoyed it!

Front staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean but the bathroom needed a serious renovation. The bathtub was a serious turn off. Looked like it wouldn’t come clean no matter how long you worked at it. I did chose not to use it. Sink was chipped and stained. The air conditioner worked well. Adequate choices and quantities for breakfast. The coffee was great.

Il mio soggiorno all'Hotel Flamingo in Medicine Hat è stato eccezionale. Il personale era amichevole e utile, la camera era spaziosa e bellamente decorata, e le strutture erano fantastiche. La posizione era conveniente, con facile accesso alle attrazioni locali . Ho apprezzato l'atmosfera rilassante della piscina.

Camera pulita e spaziosa. Hotel tranquillo. Camera confortevole. Desk front were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located next to a Plaza, and at the same time near the hyway, near many sites to visit. L'unica confusione è accaduto quando ci andavamo, le mappe di Google non portano all'ingresso dell'hotel, abbiamo dovuto prendere l'autostrada di nuovo e cone indietro.

Dovevamo venire per un funerale, ma voleva un posto con una piscina. Dopo essere stato avvertito di alcuni hotel in città, questo è stato consigliato. Ero felice di tutto soprattutto un prezzo giusto per le stesse strutture degli altri hotel. Buona colazione, camere pulite, acqua 24/7 sul desk front e cookie fatti a casa.

Rralfc197Prabh was one of the most accommodating and helpful receptionists that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Thank you very much Hotel was clean,beds comfy, breakfast good. I had no reservation and had been on the road for a while, wife was nagging me to get a room and we couldn't have picked a better spot.

SStewart KI stayed at the Holiday Inn Medicine Hat in room 306 and I was very impressed by the reception staff. She was friendly, helpful, and professional. She greeted me warmly when I arrived and checked me in quickly. Her name was Khush and she also gave me some useful information about the hotel amenities and the nearby attractions. She answered all my questions and made me feel welcome. Khush also went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. She helped me book a taxi to the airport, arranged a late checkout for me, and even gave me a complimentary breakfast. She was always smiling and courteous, and she made sure I had everything I needed. I would like to thank Khush for her excellent service and hospitality. She is a great asset to the hotel and she deserves recognition and appreciation. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Medicine Hat.

UUtente ospiteThis is an interesting older hotel. The clerk told me it is under renovation, and I could see it is a work in progress. Here's our observations: Pro: *Very inexpensive. *Our room was clean, the mattress was new, firm and comfortable. *The shower and surround was new, and there were disability bars - nice to have something to hold onto even if you're not disabled. There were lots of hooks to hang things on. *The mini-fridge included a small freezer suitable for ice-paks. *Beautiful chandelier in the lobby. *This will sound a little weird, but the fire alarm went off not too long after we checked in. Fire alarms aren't fun anywhere, but I was reassured because 1) the alarm system and lighting all worked properly and seemed modern, 2) the fire doors all closed automatically as they should, and 3) the desk clerk was able to target the problem and got the issue resolved quickly. I've stayed in some pricier hotels where I've seen fire doors propped open. *The staff was quite nice, and I was impressed with how calm the desk clerk was during the fire alarm episode. *Location was terrific. There are restaurants and interesting things to see within a short walking distance of the hotel. There's a lovely heritage church right beside the hotel - we weren't able to go in, but the stained glass looked stunning, even from the outside. *The window wasn't sealed so you could let fresh air in. *New TV which I was able to connect to my Netflix account without having to ask my husband to decipher the remote controls :-) *The price included a continental breakfast - pretty simple, but you could get coffee and make waffles, toast, cereal. Con: *What bothered me the most was the door to our room didn't have a bar lock or a deadbolt. I saw some rooms had card readers, so I hope the Villa is going in that direction. *Need a rubber mat for the bathtub. *The air conditioner kept the room at a nice temperature, but it was quite noisy especially after the cooling cycle turned off. *The breakfast room could use a radio or TV - it was very quiet. FYI: *It is a downtown hotel and there are unhoused people in the area. No one bothered us and there weren't any unhoused people on the hotel grounds. However, I know some people are upset by the presence of unhoused people. *Our room was plain - it had a very nice antique-style chair and lamp and painting, but the rest of the room was blank or standard hotel furniture. *No microwave, in-room coffee or hair dryer. *The car parking lot is locked at night. This hotel was good value and I suspect it will be fancier (and more expensive!) some day, but at this point in its development, go in with budget hotel expectations.
