Hotel con palestra a Chicago

La posizione è particolarmente vantaggiosa, proprio sul fiume Chicago e nei pressi della zona degli appartamenti di lusso. È estremamente comodo raggiungere il Lago Michigan, il Millennium Park e l'Art Museum. L'approccio al servizio dell'hotel è molto attento. Tornerò la prossima volta se ne avrò l'occasione!

L'hotel è in una posizione fantastica ! Grande stanza con linea di cucina! Il letto è molto comodo. Personale è mega amichevole e pronto a aiutare ! Colazione con buona selezione e deliziosa Ha avuto un soggiorno perfetto

The free breakfast is not a full buffet but a choice of egg and then usually fried potato and beefburger patty or slices of sausage. the rest was tiny yoghurt and bread for toast, or make your own waffles. there is tea coffee and hot chocolate. There was cereal and porridge but sometimes it is made so thin that its not worth eating. There is no tea in the room, just coffee. The machine had a disposable tray but they ran out so I used the same one for 9 days for tea and coffee (i got teabags from the breakfast room). Housekeeping never supplied what you asked for first time, or even second. If you want something and ask at 2pm, you will get it if you chase a couple of times afterwards by 9-10pm. There was also alot of messing about with respect to check out time. I am a member of the loyalty programme which is meant to give you an automatic late checkout. The manager gave it to me but then when I went back to ask about extending it further for a fee, it was clear the other guy behind the counter was on a power trip and the day before started saying I shouldnt have got it and as it was the manager, he wouldnt withdraw it but he could and I should only get an hour and be charged $25/hr after that etc. He was just a mean spiteful man who saw an opportunity to cause worry and distress and he did it. I had luggage to store and it was a late flight so I had to know whether to pack to store it to check out at midday, or 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 (they were messing me about with all times) but this is why I gave a 1 star for service. It is not at all professional but childish and spiteful. I had arranged the extended checkout days before and the day before they were messing me about when I had to pack and had a schedule of things to do? The worst service in any hotel I have ever been in. Hilton is no longer a 5 star experience it seems. 1 star for service.

Mi piaceva il mio soggiorno in generale. C'era una bella offerta di champagne all'arrivo. Dopo un lungo viaggio dal Michigan, è stato ben accolto e completamente impostato il tono per il tipo di soggiorno che ci sarebbe stato. Visualizzate dalla camera 2754 incantevole. We booked a room that unfortunately was for the wrong dates through a third party. We were told by the third party that they would refund us but that the hotel had to release our reservation. We called them immediately after realizing the dates were wrong which was within an hour. The reservation was for two days from then. The hotel said they would not cancel it. They charged us almost $600 for a room we did not stay in and called in advance to explain our situation. They also did not allow for us to change the days to the days we were actually looking for. While the hotel is lovely and the staff was pleasant even delivering the bad news I won’t be looking to book with them again.

Gentile direzione, Il nostro soggiorno presso il vostro hotel è stato piuttosto deludente e scomodo, con esperienze che vanno da eccellenti a pessime. Il lato positivo è che la posizione dell'hotel è imbattibile, a pochi passi dal Magnificent Mile e proprio accanto alla stazione della metropolitana Red Line. Questo ha reso molto comodo lo shopping, la ristorazione e l'esplorazione delle attrazioni della città. La camera in sé era spaziosa, eccezionalmente pulita e il letto era molto comodo, assicurando una buona notte di sonno. Abbiamo apprezzato i comfort in camera come il mini-frigo, il microonde e la macchina per il caffè, che hanno aggiunto comodità. Tuttavia, la direzione dell'hotel ha lasciato molto a desiderare. Al nostro arrivo verso le 16:00 dell'11 luglio, il personale della reception ha ripetutamente chiesto il mio cognome mentre teneva in mano il mio passaporto canadese, cercando di ottenere informazioni personali dal mio visto cinese. Questo errore ha portato un altro dipendente della reception a chiamarci alle 9:00 del terzo mattino per verificare di nuovo la mia identità con il mio passaporto/carta d'identità. Attenzione, c'è un costo nascosto: ”Verrà addebitato un supplemento di 25 $ al giorno per l'esperienza urbana a camera” presso questo hotel Fairmont Chicago - Millennium Park. Il costo della colazione è molto complicato se avete pagato in anticipo. Innanzitutto, dovete sostenere di aver pagato in anticipo la colazione per ogni persona in camera. In secondo luogo, dovete chiedere e confermare alla reception l'importo del credito per la colazione che avete pagato (nel mio caso 38 $ a persona al giorno, tasse e mance incluse). Non è una colazione a buffet, dovete pagare un extra al momento del check-out se avete ordinato più del credito per la colazione. Quando ho chiesto se, se avessi saltato una colazione, potevo utilizzare il credito extra per il giorno successivo, le risposte sono state diverse da membro del personale. Un hotel molto costoso, specializzato in grandi conferenze, non dispone di forno a microonde, frigorifero vuoto (su richiesta) in camera e piscina. Non sollevate le bevande e gli snack nella scatola sul tavolo (ci sono dei sensori sotto) a meno che non vi dispiaccia che vi venga addebitato. Il frigorifero è pieno di bevande. Avevo paura di toccarlo, persino il concierge non sapeva come aprire la serratura del frigorifero. Ma caffè e tè sono gratuiti. C'è una persona (non la governante) che viene in camera per controllare e riempire tutte le bevande e gli snack, compresi quelli gratuiti. Abbiamo prenotato la nostra camera molte settimane prima, ma dopo il check-in mi sono accorto che i prezzi delle camere erano scesi rispetto a quelli originali, forse perché non c'erano abbastanza partecipanti alla conferenza. La hall è al secondo piano, il check-in è stato semplicissimo, non c'è stato bisogno di vedere il passaporto... mi hanno dato solo la chiave e siamo partiti. Siamo rimasti per 4 notti, ma non è stata fatta la pulizia... Ho dovuto chiedere un asciugamano extra perché eravamo in 4 in una stanza e ne hanno forniti solo per 2. Siamo rimasti senza sapone il giorno dopo e abbiamo dovuto prenderlo nella hall, ma nessuno è venuto a metterlo... quindi l'abbiamo messo in un angolo... non sul muro. La posizione era buona, facile da raggiungere con i mezzi pubblici, se non si è troppo sensibili è a pochi passi dal Magnificent Mile... La palestra era ok, il servizio lavanderia costa 3 dollari a lavaggio... e bisogna installare un'app per pagare... e non si può caricare l'importo esatto, quindi se si fa un singolo lavaggio si usa la carta di credito, si pagano 3,25 dollari, ma si paga solo per quello che si usa... Apple Pay o il pagamento tramite tap non funzionano... quindi portate con voi la vostra carta di credito. Un'altra cosa, se usi l'app, ti farà sapere se il bucato è pronto... ma alcune persone non scendono ancora a togliersi i vestiti e devono chiedere alla reception di toglierli e metterli nell'apposito stendibiancheria. La colazione non era niente di speciale. Se ti svegli tardi, ci sono già molte persone ed è difficile trovare un tavolo, e il rifornimento non è molto veloce... Solo una manciata di varietà di cibo. Caffè e tè sono disponibili tutto il giorno, purché non siano ancora finiti.

However, upon arrival with my partner, I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and well-decorated, with a modern and cohesive style. Our check-in process was fast and efficient, and the receptionist was friendly and happy to answer all of our questions—especially about the fees mentioned on the hotel’s website. One of the main issues people seem to bring up is the so-called “hidden” fees. In my experience, these fees are not actually hidden—they’re listed on the hotel’s official website. That said, they could definitely be communicated more clearly. It’s important to read the fine print when booking and during check-in. While the fees may not be obvious at first glance, the hotel is legally allowed to include them since they are technically disclosed. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with enough space to hang clothes. There were multiple hangers, and the locker-style closets matched the hotel’s sporty decor. The floor and bathroom were clean overall, though I did spot a spider in the corner of the shower—but nothing alarming. The downstairs common area includes an open kitchen with a communal fridge and even a crockpot, which was a nice surprise. There were also several games available, like ping pong and air hockey, which makes this place family- and couple-friendly. Guests are allowed to enjoy drinks provided in the kitchen. If you’re sensitive to noise, particularly trains, I recommend requesting a room farther down the hall on the first floor. Our room was in a quiet spot—I barely noticed the train, and when I did, it was more like soft white noise. Still, bringing earplugs might help if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, I recommend this hotel. It’s in a nice area, the decor is visually appealing, and the stay was enjoyable. Just be aware of a $120 refundable deposit (if no damage is done to the room) and an additional $50 guest fee. Knowing that ahead of time helps avoid surprises. I’m very grateful for the pleasant stay and would return again.
