Hotel vicini a Northerly Island a Chicago

The hotel is in a great location! Close to main attractions and lots of restaurants! Main staff was not very friendly. Hotel is beautiful when you enter. Rooms are very old and need updating. The toilet in my bathroom had a corroded tank and a broken lever. That was a bit frustrating. Bed was very hard!! Room was very cold! Only one thermostat for the entire hotel. There is no individual thermostat in each room. Had to ask for extra blankets. They did provide that for me. The fitness room is very nice! Every thing you need to have a really good workout! They indicated they are in the process of renovating rooms. They’ve just not completed that project yet. I would stay there again if the price was right. Hopefully next time I’ll get an updated room!

Our six night stay was surprisingly quiet. Population was sp**** in The South Loop. And there wasn’t a close by mall or large grocery store. But the main attractions like the zoo, art museum, science museum can be easily reached by cab. By 10am, there are almost no cars on the street on the weekend. Felt isolated and alone walking on the street. The district at night has it’s dangers. Robbery is rampant; but at least you won’t be killed. Friendly advice from the hotel. The room rate is high yet didnt include room slippers or toothbrushes. Water bottle wasnt free; charges were $6 a bottle. But I did enjoy the Food Hall on the ground floor and prices were reasonable at $10 for a fresh large salad or $14 for a pizza. The ramen noodles wasn’t too good though. The meat was dry and 8 slices too many. The Food Hall is only opened when the hotel has high occupancy (I was told). There is a small refrigerator in the room. Free of charge. We asked for a late checkout and the answer was a clear ‘No’. Even with a Marriott membership, an extra hour was not possible. Our room was very clean and with a good view; floor to ceiling window. Very comfortable stay. Any improvements? The front desk lady could have been more welcoming or friendlier maybe.

Grandi passi da Michigan Ave, il museo d'arte, strada commerciale, parchi principali, lago e ristoranti. Centralmente situato per raggiungere facilmente il fiume Nord, l'ovest, e i musei nel loop sud; è molto vicino alle fermate di tutti i treni. Questo è un bel hotel storico con molte attrazioni - bellissimi ristoranti e negozi nel lobby e al livello inferiore, una buona piscina di dimensioni con un sedile ampio, anche, la palestra o uno dei più bello che abbia mai visto in un hotel!

This is probably one of the best hostels I've stayed at in the U.S. I've stayed at this hostel twice now. The first time was in 2015 and the second time this past month for Market Days. Location: The hostel is centrally located in Downtown Chicago/the Loop. It's easily accessible to get to and from O'Hare Airport via the Blue Line which runs 24 hours. The closest CTA station is Jackson Station which also has connections to many other CTA lines. The hostel is also located within walking distance to many other tourist hotspots like Millennium Park, Broadway shows, Lou Malnati's Pizza (10 minutes), etc. There's also a CVS Pharmacy at the corner of the street that sells liquor and other essentials. On the weekday, the area is bustling with downtown workers, but on the weekends, it's like a ghost town. Most restaurants and stores close by 8/9pm. The only place to eat at if you have a late night is Taco Bell which closes at 2am. Another downside is that there are a lot of homeless people that have set up camp in front and around the hostel, so some people may feel unsafe walking around. Security: The property is very secure. There are multiple entry points to get into the hostel with a key card. There's another entry point to get access to the elevator banks that lead to the rooms as well as required card access to go upstairs and into the rooms. There's also a 24-hour front desk. This was a saving grace for me because my flight from New York was delayed that I ended up arriving at 3:30am. Keep in mind, if you plan to arrive after 3am, you should notify/call the front desk and let them know otherwise they'll mark you as a no-show and cancel your reservation. They also have storage lockers/a luggage room for a fee. Facilities/Amenities: My original reservation was for a 4-bed male dormitory, but there was someone sleeping in my assigned bunk. When you arrive, there is a fitted sheet, pillow sheets, a bath towel, and a face towel (no comforter). You are expected to make your bed. Since I arrived so late and my roommates were already asleep, the overnight staff (DJ) was nice enough to put me in an 8-bed dormitory that was unoccupied, so that I didn't wake up anyone. Both rooms were very spacious/high ceilings/massive windows with a lot of space to store luggage and walk around. All the rooms have lockers (bring your own lock or buy one at the front desk). In the 4-bed dorm, there is a common area with a kitchen/bathroom that connects with 2 suites. The 8-bed room is setup where the toilet, shower, and sink are all in separate areas instead of all in one room. The shower area has dispensers for body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. There are also common showers and toilets on every floor. The downside of the dormitory is that you can't control the temperature of the room. Summers in Chicago are hot and humid and the room was kept in the 60s, which I loved. But, my roommates thought it was too cold for them. The WiFi access is very stable and fast. Th

Historical hotel in a good area of Chicago. Check in staff is very helpful and pleasant. Good gym and big pool to exercise and many restaurants and pubs around which are very convenient

Hotel confortevole, è stato un piacevole soggiorno ma in generale vorrei aver trascorso una notte extra per rimanere in qualche posto più piacevole. Quando sono entrato ci sono due dischi frontali, uno con un segno per VOCO e uno con un segno per Holiday Inn, quando sono arrivato, ero al lato VOCO e alla fine il dipendente del lato vacanze chiese se avessi bisogno di qualcosa a cui ho risposto che ero che ha fatto il check-in e ha rullato gli occhi e ha risposto: “Ok... poi vieni qui” non sono sicuro come avrei dovuto sapere che era un hotel e potevo controllare in un soggiorno di vacanza? Ancora non 100% sicuro se questo è un centro vacanze rimarcato o perché il partecipante del desk front felice la necessità di essere rude. Pros: - grande pressione idrica - buona illuminazione nel bagno - fornitura/servizio rapido di asciugamani - grande stanza, mobili aggiornati - le stazioni idriche sono super convenienti, possono riempire i giubbotti di vetro forniti e tenerli nel frigorifero - zona sicura proprio sul lato Riverwalk - grande vista dalla stanza Cons: - Sono andato al mercato per ottenere argento plastico per il ritiro e ho dovuto pagare $1.12 per un forno plastico..... non poteva essere caricato nella stanza, solo una cattiva esperienza di tornare nella mia stanza e ottenere la mia carta di credito per comprare un forno dopo aver viaggiato per 8 ore e volendo rilassarsi e cenare, per $900 per un soggiorno di 3 notti penso che un forno di plastica potrebbe essere complimentare - Il calore/AC completamente chiuso la mia notte scorsa, il termostat è morto/nessuno dei pulsanti o fan funziona, non posso parlare come avrebbero gestito questo perché non ho provato, Erano le 10 e mi sono appena stancata e non volevo affrontare qualcuno che arrivava nella stanza - in generale il personale sembrava solo disinteressato della tua presenza o esperienza, anche quando ho controllato, ho lasciato loro sapere del termostat, così potevano farlo riparare per la prossima stanza e hanno appena risposto ”OK” - potrebbe essere stato un po' più pulito, vedere foto di fan dove la copertura metallica sta venendo fuori e il corno era terribile
