Hotel a Doesburg, Paesi Bassi

L'hotel è perfettamente situato accanto alla stazione centrale e al bordo del centro commerciale. Il lobby offre un lavoro e una tazza di tè o caffè gratuito. Il personale è giovane e informale. Le camere non sono grandi, ma sono un buon letto e bagno. Purtroppo, per ogni camera d'albergo troviamo il peccato della morte: una bottiglia di scivolo degli ex ospiti sotto il letto. Anche se la stanza non era sporca, è ovviamente un punto di attenzione.

Solo a pochi passi (grazie per la collina) dalla stazione ferroviaria (servizi di trasporto ferroviario e autobus affidabili a quasi ovunque nei Paesi Bassi) l'hotel è ancora più breve a piedi dalla banca settentrionale del Nederrijn con le sue ombre passeggiate e Molti ristoranti. Molto conveniente, poiché non c'è nessun ristorante a nessun IHG Express. Quando sono arrivato a mezzogiorno la stanza non era pronta, ma il personale (più tardi) era felice di tenere il mio caso fino a quando non sono tornato quel pomeriggio (e ancora dopo l'uscita di check-out prima di partire in un treno di pomeriggio). La stanza stessa era una grande dimensione con un letto grande e confortevole, un desk e una sedia funzionale e una sedia confortevole. L'aria condizionata manteneva la temperatura stabile e l'illuminazione era buona - non la ”fasciabile” vicino all'oscurità di qualcuno. Il bagno era buono con una doccia spaziale. Tutto era pulito senza spot. Caffè e tè disponibile. Il colazione è l'unico pasto offerto E' un'offerta di base abbastanza fondamentale in Europa. Carni, uova e formaggi erano adeguate, iogurt buono, salsa di frutta fresca molto buono. Il caffè era fornito da macchina e buono con una varietà di offerte. Non ho provato nessuna delle altre scelte fredde (standard con il marchio Express) e non ho provato nessuna delle altre scelte fredde. Anche se si trovava abbastanza centralmente con facile accesso ai negozi e tutte le strutture e le infrastrutture abituali, la stanza era tranquilla e tranquilla. Un mini-supermercato Albert Heiijn, al contrario, ha attirato piccoli gruppi di sera, ma non è stato un disturbo - in effetti molto utile per un'occasione di piccoli acquisti. We've stayed at this hotel before for the airborne anniversary and it's such a lovely place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast is great. Rooms very spacious with great views of the river. Parking available but an easy walk into Arnhem or on the bus route. Can also get bus onto Oosterbeek easily. We will be back!

Perfect location across the street from both the main station and the central pedestrian zone with shopping streets, bars and restaurants. The entire hotel is beautifully furnished. Helpful staff. The room was out to a busy street with a lot of car traffic and the windows are not exactly sound-proof. However, with the heavy curtains drawn the noise subsided sufficiently. The main drawback was the breakfast. It was nicely presented but the choice severely limited, quality just OK, and the price way over the top.

We had a renovated deluxe room, that might explain some differences with other people's experiences. And were positively surprised, except for the dinner restaurant ( see separate review). Actually this renovated room was real 4 stars, and better than our average Fletcher hotel experience. Twice as large as the standard room for 50% extra price, basically a mini-suite. Separate sitting area with desk and sofa, bathroom with separate tub and shower (all a bit crammed) and in the other half of the room a separate WC. Nice bed, balcony, good WiFi. Pool was surprisingly good and big for a hotel, also free sauna. Decent breakfast, more 3 than 4 stars in variety; and a bit slow in refills. The estate grounds are already very nicely landscaped but the walks in the nearby Veluwezoom reserve are stunning. The room had a small drawbacks though: no hooks etc. to put the towels, and nice shower gel and shampoo supplied but absolutely nothing in terms of soap, neither liquid or concrete. We did not complain, otherwise probably they would have fixed that.

Let me start off by saying: if you are looking for a nice area for walking and cycling, this hotel may be worth it. The surrounding woods are quite nice. Other than that, don't expect much. As others have already mentioned, it's not a typical hotel but more of an outdated holiday resort. It's not even close to being worth 4 stars. There are two rooms per building, using the same main entrance, and you have to pay extra if you want the ground level room - which is apparently also the only one with a kettle and coffee machine. The stairs to the first-floor hotel room are quite steep and not accessible to everyone. The vibe it gave was 'sleeping over in your 70-year-old uncle/grandpa's attic'. The rooms are very old-fashioned, with no clock, an old radio you can't plug in because of the lack of outlets, and a bit of a musty smell. The 'two-person bed' is just two single beds pushed together, so if you want to be intimate with your partner or just sleep close together you will most definitely end up in the gap in between. The beds don't sleep great, either. There is no airconditioning so it gets quite hot in the summer with no way of cooling down, and the wifi is not too stable. There is also some mould in the shower, as well as rust, and the window in the bathroom does not open. The toilet sometimes refused to flush properly. Breakfast was standard, don't expect any vegan options except for bread and peanut butter. You are allowed to take some stuff for lunch, though, which is nice. There is no fridge in your room however, so keeping things cool is not an option. Also bring your own cutlery, plate & cup if you plan on buying breakfast/lunch at a local supermarket, because the room only comes with two plastic-lined paper cups. There is only one vegetarian main course on the restaurant menu, but the chef was very kind and made the vegetarian lunch options dinner-sized for us. Vegan would definitely be impossible, though. The restaurant and pool are also not that easily accessible for people in a wheelchair or with a walking impairment. Definitely get some sort of voucher or discount deal, otherwise the prices are way too high for what you get. You're not allowed to order food from Thuisbezorgd etc. The pool is... well, it's not much. It's small but barely anyone goes for a swim there, so chances are you will have it all to yourself. Bring something like a diving game or a ball if you want to have anything fun to do. The showers don't really work and half of them only have cold water. There is a tennis court but it will cost about 12 euros per hour to use it, and the 'sports fields' that are on the map they give you have become overgrown and cannot be used. You're not allowed to park your bike next to/close to your building but there is an old shed-like building in which you can store your bike. Het hotel is werkelijk prachtig. Mooie entree, vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk gegeten. Maar toen de lift open ging, viel onze mond open. De 1e zat vol gepropt met asiel zoekers. Allemaal op badslippers en blote voeten. De 2e lift ook vol met asiel zoekers met dekens en allemaal troep. Het rook enorm in de lift. Wij gingen mee en stopte op de 3e. Daar stond een hele menigte asielzoekers te wachten. Achteraf hoorde wij van personeel ,dat verdieping 3, 4 en 5 vol zitten. Heel erg vreemd, dat deze mensen de hele dag 2 liften in beslag nemen. Sorry, maar ons zie je niet meer bij vd Valk. Zowiezo is Duiven erg duur. Maar dan verwacht ik wel iets anders!!!
