"Ci sono tre piani; prima bisogna registrarsi al 12° piano. I dormitori sono spaziosi e dotati di armadietti con serratura, il che è molto comodo. Dormire sul letto a castello superiore non è un problema, dato che c'è una scala, non una scala di metallo accanto al letto. I bagni sono puliti e vengono forniti bagnoschiuma e shampoo."

UUtente ospiteLa reception è stata piuttosto disponibile, l'ambiente valeva il prezzo, i servizi erano buoni e la posizione era comoda (vicino alla linea principale della MRT). C'erano molte aree commerciali e centri commerciali nelle vicinanze. Purtroppo, non è riuscito a nascondere completamente le tendenze indipendentiste di alcuni membri del personale della reception. Li ho ringraziati per aver mantenuto una facciata di cortesia; non era colpa loro, era colpa di Bald Island.

NNevertityLa posizione dell'hotel è comoda ma tranquilla e vicina alla stazione ferroviaria. Il servizio è ottimo e la risposta del personale è impeccabile. La camera è spaziosa e confortevole. UUtente ospiteNel complesso il soggiorno è stato fantastico! La camera è spaziosa e pulita. Anche la colazione era buona. La posizione è ottima, vicinissima alla stazione ferroviaria e al quartiere creativo di Hua Shan. La hall a tema Godzilla è davvero carina 😆. L'unico neo è che le pareti sono un po' sottili, perché a volte sentivo i rumori della stanza accanto, ma comunque sopportabile.

Great location next to Shandao temple MRT and within walking distance to Taipei station, nice restaurants, cafes and the famed Fuhang soy milk. I also enjoyed the excellent lunch buffer at the hotel restaurant Kitchen 12 at incredibly reasonable price. But please note that Marriott Bonvoy platinum elite or higher tier members do not receive the usual executive lounge access or free breakfast if you book via Trip.com (you need to book directly with Marriott to enjoy the benefits).

UUtente ospiteThis is my first time spending my vacation at Amba Taipei Songshan. I was there for 7D6N from Thu 11th Dec 2025 to Wed 17th Dec 2025. The hotel lobby was on the 17th floor of the Amba building. The front counter staff were very nice and friendly. I was given a pair of slippers with the name Amba on it as a free gift. The Medium River View King Bed room was on the highest 21st floor. The sanitary conditions in my room was good and well-maintained. Everyday the housekeeper will tidy my bed, clean the bathroom and toilet and sweep the floor. I put my passport in a safe with my own password in my room. On my 2nd day on Thu 12th Dec 2025, I had visited the 24 hours hotel gym on the 18th floor. Although it was a small gym, I think they had enough equipment like treadmill, step machine and weights to keep me fit. Amba Taipei Songshan do not hv a swimming pool becos it is considered a 4 star hotel. I don't like to swim so it is alright for me. Breakfast time was from 630am - 10am which sounds a bit weird for me becos most hotels that I had stayed overseas and local had breakfast time from 630am - 1030am, extra 30mins. Not much choices for breakfast. Two main types : (1) Chinese : stir fried noodles or rice + cabbage + red bean bao + meatball, porridge provided with pickled cucumbers (2) Western : omelette with no ingredients & fried egg, salad furnished with different ingredients like green beans, bread provided with jam & peanut butter, hard boiled eggs, salami and peppered pastrami, baked beans, hash brown and chia seeds Personally, for breakfast, I loved the salad with green beans, omelette, hard boiled eggs, salami, peppered pastrami and 1 cup of cold chia seeds + kopi O. I was very surprised to have 1 cup of cold chia seeds for my breakfast becos chia seeds is healthy and usually not found in breakfast list in hotels. I had stayed in 2010 at Grand Hyatt Taipei before and did not have chia seeds for breakfast at Grand Hyatt Taipei, a 5 star hotel. Amba Taipei Songshan has a bridge on the 3rd floor which linked to Songshan bus interchange & Songshan MRT. It was very convenient to walk over to have my lunch and dinner at the shopping mall on top of Songshan bus interchange and Songshan MRT. The temperature outside was 18 - 19 deg C. Was considered very cold to me. So I had to wear double layer tee and a thick windbreaker to keep me warm when I went out. Overall, the stay at Amba Taipei Songshan was above average.

UUtente ospite1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. On our recent trip to Taipei, we decided to prioritize convenience above all else and booked a stay right in the thick of it all. Let’s kick things off with the logistics because, let’s be honest, no one wants to drag jet-lagged kids and suitcases through a maze of underground walkways after a long flight. This hotel is essentially glued to the Taipei Station. Whether you’re heading to Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall or hopping on the High Speed Rail to Taichung, you are literally steps away. I cannot stress enough how much time this saves. Usually, lobby is just a place to wait for the elevator, right? Wrong. Here, it’s a bona fide children’s paradise. The moment we walked in, my kids’ eyes went wide. There is a dedicated playroom that kept them busy, a movie section for downtime, and, get this, an unlimited amount of snack supply. Yes, you read that correctly. Unlimited snacks. While I was checking us in, my kids were already making themselves at home, grabbing treats and settling in. It’s the kind of setup that makes parents exhale for the first time that day. Since we visited during the holiday season, the hotel went the extra mile. They hosted a DIY session where the kids got to make their own Christmas bags. What truly made the experience special, though, were the two staff members assisting. They were so incredibly patient and friendly, helping my little ones with the glue and glitter without taking over. My kids didn’t just make a craft; they made a memory. It’s that personal touch that turns a good stay into a great one. The rooms are cozy. They aren’t massive suites, and honestly, they aren’t trying to be. The setup is perfect for a family of two or three. However, if you are a family of four (especially with older kids or a lot of luggage), I would highly recommend booking two adjoining rooms. This way you wont be tripping over suitcases or fighting for bathroom mirror space in the morning. For max comfort, give yourselves some breathing room. This hotel understands its audience. It knows it’s a transit hub for travelers, and it leans hard into the amenities that matter to families. Between the unbeatable location, the snack-filled lobby that feels like a mini amusement park, and the genuinely kind staff, we left with full bellies and happy hearts.

The hotel's style is really unique and quirky, which makes it stand out from your typical business hotels. The location is absolutely fantastic. It’s just a short 7-minute walk to Ximen Station, making it super convenient to get around the city, and being right on the edge of Ximending means you're in the middle of all the action, shopping, and nightlife. Location: You really can't beat it for exploring Taipei. The Ximending pedestrian area is literally a few minutes' walk away, so you're surrounded by endless food options. Whether you're looking for a late-night snack, trendy cafes, or authentic ********* street food, you'll find it all right on your doorstep. The proximity to the MRT station is a huge plus for day trips too. Room & Atmosphere: The room was a decent size, especially for Taipei, and we had plenty of space for our luggage. The vibe is modern and playful. The most... memorable feature was definitely the large mirror on the ceiling above the bed. It certainly adds a fun, slightly ”kinky” twist to the room's atmosphere! It’s a bold design choice that fits the hotel's overall playful and unconventional personality. Bathroom: One of the highlights was the bathroom. It was impressively large, very clean, and well-appointed, with good water pressure in the shower. It felt more like a boutique hotel bathroom than a standard city hotel one. Overall: Hotel PaPa Whale is a solid 4-star experience. It combines a prime location, a clean and comfortable room with a fun twist, and a great bathroom. If you're looking for a memorable stay right in the heart of Taipei's most vibrant district, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for couples or anyone looking for something a little different.

La colazione può essere consumata in vari modi e in un locale spazioso, ma era affollato perché c'erano tanti ospiti! È stato il mio primo viaggio a Taiwan e ci sono stato molto comodamente perché era proprio di fronte all'uscita 5 della stazione di Ximen. Sono rimasto molto soddisfatto anche solo della posizione, quindi lo consiglio!
