TTokkiiiWe stayed at Atour Hotel Dalian Dongguan Street (大连市政府东关街亚朵酒店) during our first trip to mainland China, and honestly, this place was one of the highlights of our whole visit.
Right at check-in we were kindly upgraded to a suite, and the staff asked if we could leave a review — after staying here, that was an easy and enthusiastic yes.
Where do I even start?
The room was immaculately clean, super quiet, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was impressive with strong water pressure and top-notch amenities — everything felt fresh and high quality. We had zero issues with housekeeping — everything was always perfect.
The staff were some of the friendliest we’ve met in China. Their English wasn’t perfect, but they tried so hard to help with whatever we needed, always with a smile and patience. That honest effort made a big difference.
Location is another major plus. This hotel is right by Dongguan Street, which means you’re walking distance to tons of restaurants, shops, and attractions. Pavilion Mall is super close too, and the airport is easy to get to — really convenient for arrivals and departures.
One small thing — the subway station is a bit of a walk, but the tram stop is very close, so getting around was still easy.
We didn’t try the breakfast since it wasn’t included, but honestly, everything else was so good that we really don’t even care.
To all travelers — especially Korean and Western visitors who might skip Dalian thinking it’s “not worth it” or don’t see many foreigners here — do yourself a favor and stay here.
This was hands-down one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had anywhere.
If we come back to Dalian, we will 100% stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommended.

UUtente ospiteL'hotel si trova in una posizione eccellente, con vista sul ponte pedonale della baia di Wudanxinghai. Il giardino pensile a 5 piani offre un'ampia vista e la hall dell'hotel è magnifica. La camera è arredata in uno stile caldo e confortevole. La piscina, la sauna, il bagno turco, la palestra e la sala yoga sono tutte molto apprezzate. La colazione del ristorante cinese è così ricca che non si può immaginare nulla di impossibile da preparare, e gli ingredienti principali sono garantiti sia in termini di qualità che di quantità. Il pane venduto al bancone del panificio nella hall è super delizioso. Ci andrò il mese prossimo proprio per questo.

Only the guys at the reception speak good English and all questions had to be resolved with them, including the restaurant menu - no one in the restaurant, even with my use of a Chinese online translator, could help me with questions about the menu and when I asked the person at the reception to help me understand the menu, it turned out that the kitchen could not cook either the first course from the menu or the second. With dietary restrictions and allergies, you can die of hunger here.
I consider it unacceptable to have non-English-speaking staff in a franchise of an English establishment.
The cook at breakfast talks on the phone right at the place where food is prepared during breakfast. I wanted to ask him a question about the dishes on the first day - he was texting on the phone, on the second day he was directly talking on the phone.
The dishes at breakfast are either not named at all or are named only in Chinese.
There was no seller in the store at the hotel no matter how many times I went in to buy a T-shirt. In the end, I tried on what I was interested in at the store, chose it and went to the reception to pay for it. The next day, a salesperson appeared in the store and told me that the T-shirt I bought the day before had a 20% discount for a month, but when I paid for it, I paid it full price and thus I was deceived by 20% of the cost of the T-shirt and did not give any receipt.
The pool is very small and not deep for such a huge hotel. If there is someone else in the pool besides your partner, there is not enough space.
The sea near the hotel is dirty. Nothing is suitable for swimming - there are no sun loungers, there is no space on the beach specifically for the guests of the hotel. The beach is across the road from the hotel.
There was only one coffee machine at breakfast and it didn't work both days. You could ask a restaurant worker for coffee.
The hotel by the way has a cool energetic staff and that's nice. The room cleaning is high-quality.
There are renovations going on at the hotel and guests can't use all the hotel areas.

UUtente ospiteThe hotel is conveniently located about a 3-minute walk from Exit D of 西安路(Xianlu) Station, and it takes less than 30 minutes to get to the airport.
Right in front of the hotel, there’s a nightclub and a street lined with food stalls mainly frequented by locals. It gets lively at night. I stayed in a room facing the street, but since it was on the 6th floor, the noise from outside wasn’t too bothersome.
However, the soundproofing between rooms isn’t great. I could hear sounds from neighboring rooms.
The shower and toilet facilities are basic. Note that in some rooms, the bathroom isn’t fully separated from the rest of the space.
Two 500ml bottles of water were provided and replenished daily. Towels were replaced during daily cleaning, but it seemed like the sheets weren’t changed though that might be different for longer stays.
There’s no fridge in the room, but you can ask the front desk to store things in their staff refrigerator if needed.
Foreigners can stay here without any issues. During my 3-night stay, there was a different staff member at the front desk each day, but everyone was friendly and helpful. They actively assisted me when I had any issues, and I’m really grateful for that.
Even if you don’t speak Chinese, using a translation app works fine. For basic things like check-in and check-out, you won’t need Chinese at all.

DDvm…Amazing hotel with a reasonable price. Room interior was very new and so beautiful. Toilet with bath tub and separate shower area and have all toiletries. Hotel staff were very good and helpful. At front desk no.8 front desk girl give us all support during our stay. Hotel was located at the city center with all shopping and attractions with in 10 minutes drive. We love to stay here again. It was so comfortable and pleasant stay

MMark FlurryHo soggiornato in questa posizione più volte. È una buona posizione e mi piace la band house nel pub (situato nel seminterrato). Il Kempeski però sta decisamente dimostrando il suo valore. Il marmo del bagno è rotto e parte del pavimento è macchiato. Il bagno pubblico (a destra dell'atrio) ha un disperato bisogno di essere rinnovato, vale a dire rifare i bordi del gabinetto ed eseguire una pulizia profonda a vapore di tutte le piastrelle. La colazione era ottima e i camerieri stavano facendo un ottimo lavoro girando i tavoli per i prossimi clienti. Probabilmente ci tornerei, ma solo se i prezzi fossero ridotti.

하지만 위치와 가격이 모든 걸 상쇄하네요.
아... 단점으로 복도에서 담배 냄새가 좀 납니다.
청소문제가 아니라 실내에서 흡연하는 게 밖으로 나오는 것 같네요.
금연객실 요청해서 배정받았는데 실내는 괜찮았습니다.
