EEthan the travelerBellissimo hotel. Grande posizione. 5-10 min passeggiata da tutto. Abbiamo dovuto pulire le strutture del tè/caffè e pulire la tavola da soli, ma non molto.Abbiamo prenotato una camera 2 regina superiore - tutti questi tipi di camera sono tutti sul primo piano. Dovresti chiedere di fronte all'interno, non all'esterno verso la strada. Nessuna vista, ma è tranquillo. Altri si lamentano di rumore/privacy se confrontati alla strada al primo piano. Una piscina è stata chiusa per la rigenerazione e bloccata una parte della vista dal tetto.

Furthermore the owners have made great improvement in the recent renovation. Good location but poor management (that’s why I have given it a low experience rating)
Hotel bar has been closed for a while but not advertised when booking! This is a ski resort and we traveled as a large group (4 rooms) with mixed age group inc teens and kids so a hotel bar is critical for us!
The fact that the main bar was closed and no apré ski drinks in the bar should have been advertised. Frankly I’m on holiday and without an operational / open bar I would have booked elsewhere!
I was only informed via email after the free cancellation period was up which meant I loose money if I cancel and more so will be challenged to find elsewhere!
I only found out after a email from hotel a few weeks before checking! When I challenged management via email, I was informed the bar area was moved to the restaurant, I said this is not acceptable and bar closure should have been advertised on booking … was told the above, and a sorry and subsequently ignored thereafter !
Not ideal as the restaurant is not a bar - more so it was pretty weird having drinks upstairs and more so when a few folk start to come up for dinner or the restaurant starts to set up for dinner buffet.
Management did offer some of my party a credit, but not me and just ignored my concern.Shame really!
I don’t want to take the good positive vide away from the hotel so would like to big up

3) restaurant staff - friendly and smiley (even though difficult trying to manage a so called bar and restaurant) in the same place

SSXADOWHotel Canoe is in perfect walking distance to Banff’s Main Street. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Having parking included with the room was a bonus.
The heated pools are a definite highlight with gorgeous views of the mountains. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need for the stay.
We ate breakfast at Sudden Sally only once but had a good experience, with friendly staff, good food choices and good portion sizes.
Highly recommend staying here.

Andiamo al supermercato per comprare cibo da soli e fare la cena.C'è un piccolo gilet di pasticceria sotto il pavimento.L'hotel ha la propria piscina di zuppa, molto piccola, siamo troppo stanchi per andare a fare il bagno.Il personale è molto entusiasta, la vecchia serratura della porta non è molto utile.

MMi0:)Otter hotel è stato uno dei migliori hotel che abbia mai soggiornato in! Era un luogo comodo e un resort rilassante. Ci siamo divertiti con la piscina calda e la sauna con una vista sorprendente!! Il personale era anche molto benvenuto! Era la nostra prima volta a Banff, ma siamo riusciti a goderci e a divertirci!

UUtente ospiteWe stayed at Royal Canadian Lodge in Banff from March 26–29 with my 7-year-old daughter, and overall we had a great experience.
Check-in was simple and straightforward. We arrived in the early evening, and Jason at the front desk was the most approachable and helpful hotel staff member I have ever dealt with. He remembered my daughter’s name, greeted her every day, checked in with us throughout our stay, and added little touches that made the trip feel extra special for both of us.
The renovated room itself was fairly standard for a hotel room, but comfortable. Our room had two queen beds, which worked well for us. The bathroom had a shower only, with no bathtub, but that was not an issue. The pillows were big and lumpy, all 8 of the pillows in our room were too high/tall for my daughter to use comfortably. There are robes provided in the room, it would be a nice touch if they could also provide kids size robes. We had a mini fridge, coffee maker with coffee, and kettle with tea provided in the room.
We ordered room service one night and tried the pulled pork poutine, which was the daily special from the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was not very good, and I would not recommend it.
The TV included free cable and on-demand programming, as well as pay-per-view movies. I had brought my laptop and an HDMI cord, and we were able to connect it to the TV easily to watch our own movies. Watching on-demand, my daughter discovered The Simpsons and loved it (lol)
The pool area was a big highlight for us. The pool is salt water rather than chlorine. The water itself was on the cooler side, but there was also a good-sized hot tub and a large steam room. My daughter quickly made friends with another family staying at the hotel, and the kids spent multiple hours a day in the pool together.
The gym was small but functional. In the four days we were there, it was empty every time we walked by.
Parking is $20 per day, which does add up. There is also free street parking behind the hotel if you are able to find a spot.
One fun feature in the lobby was the robot, which the kids absolutely loved. We were told that after construction is complete, it will be delivering items to guest rooms. During our stay it moved around the lobby, told jokes, and handed out free apples.
The hotel was reasonably priced compared with other options in the area. I chose it specifically for the pool setup, knowing we would be spending a lot of time there, and it worked out really well for that. Shops and restaurants on the main street were about a 10-minute walk away, or you could take the bus that stops outside the neighboring hotel for $2 per ride, with kids riding free.
I would definitely stay here again in the future. The price, location, rooms, and pool make this a very family-friendly hotel option in Banff.

Inoltre c'è una navetta gratuita che potremmo usare, così l'accesso al trasporto pubblico non è stato un problema. Tuttavia, quando siamo andati in camera dell'hotel c'era qualche rottame lasciato nel rottame. Non è un problema molto, ma riflette in qualche modo sul loro sistema di custodia. In generale, era pulito. Un'altra preoccupazione è stata che ci hanno detto che riceveremo il deposito di sicurezza dopo 5-10 giorni ma non siamo riusciti a ottenere. Cercherò di contattarli su di esso, ma ci hanno detto prima che lasciassimo che era già stato trattato (questa era il 18 dicembre) e finora (26 dicembre) stiamo ancora aspettando.

UUtente ospiteWe did a little staycation in Banff from Calgary and overall had a great time.
The cave pool was a big hit, but just a heads up that it’s not really a “swimming pool.” It’s more like a large cave-style hot tub. It’s shallow, and the water is fairly hot, so the kids couldn’t really swim or put their faces under the water. The cave setup is very cool though, and the adults really enjoyed it for relaxing. The dry sauna was also great.
We stayed in a suite with two double beds, plus a living area with a sofa bed, a dining area, and a kitchenette. We were happy with the layout. The suite was clean, but it is definitely dated.
One downside was the TVs. I know you don’t go to Banff to sit and watch TV, but it would be nice if they updated to smart TVs. If you’re traveling with kids, I’d suggest bringing a Fire Stick or Chromecast. Even an HDMI cable to connect a laptop would work, but make sure you download movies ahead of time because the Wi-Fi in our area was pretty spotty and the kids kept losing connection.
The front desk staff were fantastic. Friendly, helpful, and efficient. They made parking easy, provided bus passes, and explained local info without us having to ask a bunch of questions.
We’d stay here again, and next time we’ll definitely bring something for the TV so we can do an easy movie night after a busy day.
