Having spent 8 nights at this 22 year old resort, a few insights might be helpful to prospective visitors. The big drawback of course is the 4 hour journey by road from Denpasar airport. That is an experience in itself! The effort is worthwhile however as it provides a view of the island’s less trodden paths - that’s if you make the journey during daylight hours! The bush-like setting and the spread of the facilities makes for a more unique location. We tried both accommodation sites, Monsoon Lodge and Beach Villas with Monsoon being higher up, away from the beach but with a pool and the Beach villas having access to the main restaurant, Pantai (Beach) – the only place in the resort providing supper, the spa (more about that later) and the jetty area where you can swim, snorkel and take a ride to Menjangan Island. The sites are connected by a prompt safari-style commuter bus service or you can walk or ride. Bikes are freely available at each site should they be required. The haul up from the beach by bike to Monsoon in the middle of the day can be quite a test of stamina! Deer (barking & Javanese) and monkeys are often around and care needs to be given to prevent the monkeys raiding your room uninvited to literally empty the cookie jar provided. Our preference would be the Beach Villas as the rooms have a view directly onto the beach a few metres away (although a shallow depth and a rocky sea floor prevent bathing) and are better appointed with outside shower/bath/toilet as well as being close to the “action”. The Monsoon accommodation is nonetheless very comfortable and the service for drinks etc… prompt. In fact, as per the usual Bali hospitality standard, the staff are friendly and happy to provide you with whatever you require. The resort’s management is on the ball and very accommodating. There are sufficient activities available that ensure you are unlikely to get bored during your stay ranging from bush walks; riding (bikes and horses) - the stables are on site; snorkeling expeditions to Menjangan Island some 40 minutes away from the hotel jetty and of course the spa. The services offered here are limited and surprisingly they do not provide manicures and pedicures. A little strange but nonetheless the one hour Balinese massage offered was diligently done for a reasonable cost of A$40. The trip to the island is worthwhile although there is evidence of significant coral damage (caused by bleaching events according to the guide) which detracts from its status as a prime diving/snorkeling spot in the region. The cost from the hotel is around A$110pp which includes a packed lunch and soft drinks. Other companies in the area providing the service quoted A$93pp plus a A$60 taxi pick up/drop off cost so best to use the hotel’s resources for this. The Bali Tower, a five story edifice giving views over the forest and a good spot for a sundowner offers breakfast and lunch but not supper. The breakfast menu is varied and the Pantai l

Un'escape tranquilla con un servizio eccezionale In una riserva lussuosa di natura, Plataran Menjangan offre una perfetta miscela di lusso e natura. Il servizio è eccellente, con personale amichevole che va oltre e sopra per garantire un soggiorno perfetto. Grazie speciali a Ayu per il caldo benvenuto, Sudi e l'Ottagon per l'arrivo di compleanno, e Yuda per il picnic inoltrabile al risveglio del sole. Le camere sono spaziose ed elegantemente arredate, offrendo un ambiente classico ma confortevole. In generale, Plataran Menjangan è un spectacoloso ritratto per coloro che cercano lusso e natura in armonia. Molto raccomandato!

Quattro notti in un posto splendido affacciato su una baia circondata dal verde, in prossimità dell’unico parco nazionale di Bali. Sistemazione molto originale in tende completamente arredate e confortevoli. Tutte le strutture sono in bambù seguendo lo stile locale. Lo staff è attento e gentilissimo. Ottimo è vario il menù del ristorante a prezzi più che abbordabili. Possibilità di escursioni di mare e di terra. In conclusione, un posto stupendo per godere di qualche giorno di relax in fuga dal caos di Bali sud

Wir waren 02.10.2023 bis 19.10.2023 für 16 Nächte im Naya Gawana Resort. Erst mal das Positive. Das Resort liegt wirklich schön in der Bucht gegenüber dem Nationalpark Menjanggang mit einer tollen Aussicht aufs Meer und in den Nationalpark. Die Anlage ist großflächig angelegt und man hat hier viel Platz. Das Tauchen bei den Extra Divers bei Robert war ebenfalls ein Highlight. Hier läuft alles super entspannt ab, die Tauchgruppen werden je nach Erfahrung und Interessen eingeteilt und die Tauchplätze sprechen für sich. Wir haben wirklich sehr viel gesehen, auch Dinge die wir in unserer langjährigen Taucherkarriere noch nicht hatten. Uneingeschränkte Weiterempfehlung der Basis. Zu den Zimmern kann man Folgendes sagen: - Die Kura Kura Zimmer liegen unter dem Restaurant und der Außenterrasse. Sie sind eher klein und im unteren Teil direkt am Wasser. Es gibt ein großes Fenster, was aber nicht zu öffnen geht. Die Vorhänge habe auch schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Keine Empfehlung für einen längeren Aufenthalt, - Die Garden Zimmer (Standardzimmer) liegen im hinteren Teil der Anlage. Sie sind von ca. 1.80 Meter hohen Steinmauern umgeben und man gelangt über einen kleinen Vorgarten zu den Zimmern. Diese waren aber durch übermäßige Bewässerung und wenig Sonne meistens nur noch nasse Erde und nicht sehr ansprechend. Würden wir auch Niemanden für einen langen Aufenthalt empfehlen. - Die Bay View Zimmer mit Terrasse sind nach vorne offen und haben einen schönen Ausblick auf die Bucht. Sie sind funktional mit halb offenem Bad und der Platz innerhalb des Zimmers ist OK. Die Möglichkeiten seine Sachen unterzubringen beschränkt sich allerdings auf 3 kleine Ablageboxen links über dem Wasserkocher, einer Kleiderstange rechts mit 2 weiteren kleinen Ablagefächern. Auch wenn man nicht viel Kleidung in so einem Urlaub benötigt, könnte es etwas mehr an Platz geben. Diese Zimmer haben den besten Blick (Nummer 6-9) und sind für einen längeren Urlaub in Ordnung. - Die Lumbung Suiten liegen im hinteren linken Teil der Anlage, die ebenfalls sehr großzügig angelegt ist. Die 2 Geschosse (durch eine schmale Treppe getrennt, sind sehr schön und funktional. Allerdings ist es für Personen, die nachts öfter mal raus müssen, nicht optimal. Il Dripz Coffee sotto l'effettivo Eden Hotel offre un grande caffè più cibo, snack ecc. Amichevole e utile personale!!Abbiamo avuto molti colazioni all'Eden Hotel - molto bello e grande valore!! I stayed at Grand Sovereign Hotel Kuta Bali from Jul 11th to Jul 14th. The hotel was great, the service was excellent, etc, with only one miss: I forgot my laptop charger and left it in hotel meeting room. After I flew back home to Java, I finally realized that I forgot my charger and immediately look a way to contact the hotel. Well, the response was quick and one of the hotel staff, Ms. ANGEL/ANJEL kindly help and sent the charger back to me (I include the pics of the charger and the receipt of the delivery service).
