Sometimes you find a hotel or resort that immediately makes you feel calm, relaxed, and grateful you've booked the right place. Bagus Beach Resort is definitely in this category. From the moment I stepped into the vast grounds resplendent with old Bali charm, I knew it was going to feel like home very quickly. I was immediately greeted by the resort manager, Pak Widi, who is extremely friendly and exceedingly knowledgeable about the region's attractions and history, as well as about Balinese culture. Make sure you spend some time talking to him, he's a really lovely guy! The resort itself perfectly captures the mood of North Bali tourism: peaceful, relaxed, slower-paced, it's a bit like stepping back in time to 20 years ago, when travelers stayed for about a month, learnt some Indonesian and Balinese, whiled away the days reading books and walking, and just growing to really love and respect the place. The room I stayed in couldn't have been cozier, and was spotlessly clean. The breakfast prepared by Pak Widi's beautiful wife, Ibu Jero Made, was absolutely delicious - she makes the island's best 'jaje Bali' - traditional sweets. She's extremely talented, and a very kind soul. Bali's tourism industry will be suffering from the impact of Covid-19 for a long time to come, and the more remote parts of the island especially so. If you want to really make your rupiah count, skip the south and head up to the north. You'll be rewarded in spectacular sunsets and grateful smiles for doing so! Nice place, the pool, the room, the facilities, all above my expectations, lots of restaurant near by, also a KFC ( Kentucky Fried Chicken) at less than 2 min walk around the corner, Bank and other shop .

Perfect for the budget conscious yet this hotel offers everything you'd want in amenities and comfort. It has a beautifully clean swimming pool with excellent sun lounges and the rooms are far enough away from the street to be quiet and peaceful. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the house-keeping is thorough and professional. The bed in my room was very comfortable and great size, the bathroom is clean and there was enough storage space for a comfortable few days. It is less than ten minutes from the airport which is perfect for transit travellers and only about ten minutes walk to German Beach. Very close to Lippo Mall and is at the heart of the restaurants area of Jalan Kartika Plaza. If you're not into 5 star resort type luxury, this hotel is ideal and I would happily stay here again.

Questo hotel per le persone che non hanno bisogno della spiaggia (è lontano). Ma ha una delle più grandi piscine di Bali con acqua pulita. Anche le camere sono perfettamente pulite. Per il prezzo della corona è un diamante! Ristorante molto economico ma molto semplice con cibo in stile Warung, potrebbe essere utile avere alcune opzioni più occidentali come costolette di maiale o bistecca. Comunque posto decisamente fantastico!

Really nice hotel in the ITDC area of Nusa Dua, easily accessible, safe and with a long pool and an Indonesian Style buffet breakfast. The rooms are a good size and very clean, well worth the price. Staff are super friendly and helpful, they are incredibly polite and accommodating to guests . Special shout-out to Dewak who was very very helpful throughout my stay here and helped me out without fail. He knows the area well too and so gave me good recommendations for coffee places and places to get good food and drink! Will stay here again for sure!
