Ho soggiornato qui da sola. È un tipico ostello. Il bagno e la biancheria sono puliti e i prezzi sono ragionevoli. Tuttavia, è lontano dalla stazione e l'autobus passa solo una volta all'ora dalla fermata più vicina. Sebbene sia vicino al centro, non è molto accessibile.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was ok but during our stay, no one came and clean up and we asked to change the towels only and the housekeeper seemed like she wasn't happy. When we checked in, the staff at the reception didn't give us any information on when to check out or information about the hostel because my application showed that I could check out until 5 pm, luckily I was asking. We don't ask for any special treatment but just the basic thing that we should've known. We've stayed at YHA Sydney Harbour and the staff were friendlier. Not that bad but not that good though.

Molto bene. Ho prenotato un tour di Fraser Island con dingos, quindi è stato super pratico essere in questo ostello. Ci sono pancake gratuiti extra prima del tour di introduzione come colazione di 6-7, in modo che si possa mangiare ancora prima del tour. Ci sono anche azioni cool come Sip & Paint dove si può dipingere una carta postale e ottenere un Sangria gratuita. Le piscine sono anche un plus e vicinanza all'IGA e alla piccola strada di shopping. Ci sono anche caffè e tè gratuito. Le camere sono molto limitate al massimo necessario e le poche scatole non sono ben distribuite, ma va bene.

Buona posizione Grandi servizi - colazione gratuita che era grande e gli oggetti sono stati tenuti ben memorizzati, musica, piscina, sala / terrazza I doccia potrebbero fare con un po' di aggiornamento e le mazze da bagno sarebbero utili Non c'erano ganci per impiccare nulla nella nostra stanza che era davvero scomodo

A newly renovated hostel runs by Little Drifter in Cairns CBD area. Everything is quite new and well maintained, except for the washing machines (quite a few are broken and still waiting to be fixed, only 2-3 machines are working, both laundry and drying cost $6 each time so that would be $12 in total if you wash and dry in one go). Yet big shout out to the staff there, they’re all very friendly, responsive and helpful, and that really makes a huge difference. The whole atmosphere in the hostel is really cozy and chill. I lived in a 8-bed dorm, everyone is really respectful and quiet, especially after 22:00 when the lights are off. Kitchen has everything you need so you don’t need to worry about anything. And for ladies who might need to blow dry your hair, you can borrow hairdryer at the reception by giving out your passports/driver licenses. Regarding location, it’s definitely prime, everything is within walking distance. Woolworths is just next door, Esplanade and Lagoon are just 5 mins walk away, Cairns Central just 10 mins walk away. It’s definitely a really good choice if you’re new to the city and would like to have easy and fast access to everything.

Even though the room was nearby the stairs I did not hear noise from people passing by and had a good sleep • shared bathroom was cleaned meticulously. • amenities: they have a pool which is really nice and the inner courtyard is quite comfortable and has space to interact with other guests as well to just chill • location: 15 min taxi from the airport (only way to go to the airport) 10 min walk from the train station and 15 min walk to the seaside. There are few restaurants and a supermarket in front of the hostel • staff: kind an supportive my background: I travel 320 days a year since 8 years staying in all range of accomodation from hostel to 5star. I just review objectively what I see with no judgement

Ho soggiornato nella pensione Civic prima di avere una stanza a Townsville. Mi sentivo un posto davvero buono per gestire. Utilizzavo una camera da quattro persone, ma non era molto incomoda perché ci erano diversi bagni e bagni condivisi, e il personale era tutto amico ㅎㅎㅎ Voglio presentarvi ai miei amici.

First of all, this is not a 5* Hotel and is not trying to be. This is a budget place to stay and with that in mind, I thought it was great. The rooms were large enough, had a table and chairs, kettle, fridge, microwave, cutlery, the most amenities so far in 4 months of travelling. On top of that, there is a modest pool and a large cooking area that has utensils which was really useful for us budget travellers. The location is as good as we could have got, 30 mind walk to the train station and harbour, an hour walk from the airport. The place also has parking. Although - it was a little dirty and rusty in places - there were lots of tiny roaches which comes with the territory, but still worth mentioning - there were 3 floors in our block, each with a toilet, our toilet was cleaned but no toilet paper replenished for the 3 days we were there

Very good hostel but I had negative experiences with 2/3 of the receptionists. The first guy who checked me in seemed to be in a bad mood, like something had upset him just before I arrived. Had this ticked off attitude in his voice, made me feel uncomfortable. Oh well that wasn’t a big issue. But the other guy tried to charge me $20 to collect my stored luggage after I had checked out, as it was after 8pm. He said it was “our policy”. When I asked him to show me where that was written, he couldn’t show it. Did he just make that up? I will never know. He eventually gave up and let me collect my bag.

The staff was lovely, however my friend and I had a hard time making friends at this hostel. They do have events designed to make friends but unfortunately most days we were busy doing other things. We also both got top bunks and as someone with ankle issues I struggled. The kitchen is also tiny with no cold water and absolutely nowhere to put anything. There is also not many places to hang out other than the room and the areas are crowded. Thankfully the bathrooms were always clean and the staff was very friendly. And the view from the rooftop was nice although it was crowded.
