La mia esperienza complessiva in questo ostello della gioventù è stata piuttosto soddisfacente! L'aria condizionata in camera era eccellente, mantenendo l'ambiente fresco e confortevole anche in piena estate, senza dare alcuna sensazione di soffocamento. Le aree comuni e i bagni erano tenuti pulitissimi, puliti quotidianamente e inodori. La cucina era completamente attrezzata e forniva asciugamani di carta gratuiti, il che la rendeva molto comoda per i backpacker che necessitavano di pasti semplici. L'unico inconveniente era la mancanza di un distributore d'acqua nelle aree comuni, quindi è necessario portare la propria bottiglia d'acqua o acquistarne una in bottiglia. Tuttavia, la zona circostante è eccellente, con McDonald's, KFC e un supermercato aperto 24 ore su 24 a 3 minuti a piedi, il che la rende comoda per spuntini notturni e necessità quotidiane. Consiglio vivamente questo ostello ai viaggiatori che apprezzano la pulizia, la comodità dei trasporti e un budget limitato. L'aria condizionata e la cucina, a questo prezzo, offrono un rapporto qualità-prezzo davvero eccezionale!

The hotel is a perfect place to stay with. The only thing to say of the down side is the location to train station. Some time you will feel noisy when with an approaching train. But on the other hand, that could also be a good point for easy access.

Molto bene. Ho prenotato un tour di Fraser Island con dingos, quindi è stato super pratico essere in questo ostello. Ci sono pancake gratuiti extra prima del tour di introduzione come colazione di 6-7, in modo che si possa mangiare ancora prima del tour. Ci sono anche azioni cool come Sip & Paint dove si può dipingere una carta postale e ottenere un Sangria gratuita. Le piscine sono anche un plus e vicinanza all'IGA e alla piccola strada di shopping. Ci sono anche caffè e tè gratuito. Le camere sono molto limitate al massimo necessario e le poche scatole non sono ben distribuite, ma va bene.

A newly renovated hostel runs by Little Drifter in Cairns CBD area. Everything is quite new and well maintained, except for the washing machines (quite a few are broken and still waiting to be fixed, only 2-3 machines are working, both laundry and drying cost $6 each time so that would be $12 in total if you wash and dry in one go). Yet big shout out to the staff there, they’re all very friendly, responsive and helpful, and that really makes a huge difference. The whole atmosphere in the hostel is really cozy and chill. I lived in a 8-bed dorm, everyone is really respectful and quiet, especially after 22:00 when the lights are off. Kitchen has everything you need so you don’t need to worry about anything. And for ladies who might need to blow dry your hair, you can borrow hairdryer at the reception by giving out your passports/driver licenses. Regarding location, it’s definitely prime, everything is within walking distance. Woolworths is just next door, Esplanade and Lagoon are just 5 mins walk away, Cairns Central just 10 mins walk away. It’s definitely a really good choice if you’re new to the city and would like to have easy and fast access to everything.

Even though the room was nearby the stairs I did not hear noise from people passing by and had a good sleep • shared bathroom was cleaned meticulously. • amenities: they have a pool which is really nice and the inner courtyard is quite comfortable and has space to interact with other guests as well to just chill • location: 15 min taxi from the airport (only way to go to the airport) 10 min walk from the train station and 15 min walk to the seaside. There are few restaurants and a supermarket in front of the hostel • staff: kind an supportive my background: I travel 320 days a year since 8 years staying in all range of accomodation from hostel to 5star. I just review objectively what I see with no judgement

Ho soggiornato nella pensione Civic prima di avere una stanza a Townsville. Mi sentivo un posto davvero buono per gestire. Utilizzavo una camera da quattro persone, ma non era molto incomoda perché ci erano diversi bagni e bagni condivisi, e il personale era tutto amico ㅎㅎㅎ Voglio presentarvi ai miei amici.

Ero preoccupato a causa delle recensioni precedenti, ma ho trovato il personale della reception cordiale e disponibile e i servizi davvero buoni. La camera era essenziale, ma la posizione era raggiungibile a piedi e, sebbene a volte un po' rumoroso di notte, gli altri ospiti sono stati gentili e premurosi. Ci tornerei volentieri!

Very good hostel but I had negative experiences with 2/3 of the receptionists. The first guy who checked me in seemed to be in a bad mood, like something had upset him just before I arrived. Had this ticked off attitude in his voice, made me feel uncomfortable. Oh well that wasn’t a big issue. But the other guy tried to charge me $20 to collect my stored luggage after I had checked out, as it was after 8pm. He said it was “our policy”. When I asked him to show me where that was written, he couldn’t show it. Did he just make that up? I will never know. He eventually gave up and let me collect my bag.

The staff was lovely, however my friend and I had a hard time making friends at this hostel. They do have events designed to make friends but unfortunately most days we were busy doing other things. We also both got top bunks and as someone with ankle issues I struggled. The kitchen is also tiny with no cold water and absolutely nowhere to put anything. There is also not many places to hang out other than the room and the areas are crowded. Thankfully the bathrooms were always clean and the staff was very friendly. And the view from the rooftop was nice although it was crowded.
