I enjoyed my stay at Crowne Plaza but unfortunately the TV was not working for my whole stay. The staff were very apologetic but unfortunately it did not complete my whole stay. Just a shame that the problems with the internet and tv were not resolved before my stay was completed.

Dorsett Gold Coast boasts a prime location, just one street away from the large shopping centre Pacific Fair. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and it only takes a 10-minute walk to get to the beach. The hotel entrance is right at the Tram Station. The room facilities are quite good, featuring a small balcony that offers a view of the sea when opened. However, the shower water pressure is somewhat weak, and the floor gets a bit slippery when wet. Aside from these, I’d like to give a special shout-out to Carter at the front desk for making us feel right at home.

L'hotel è molto buono e nuovo, e ci ha preso circa 75 minuti da Gatton a questo hotel via auto privata e ci costa A$189. La camera dell'hotel è in buona dimensione e conforme al check-in. La posizione è centralizzata e facilmente accessibile a molte caffè e negozi vicini. Valore per soldi e sicuramente molto consigliato se ritorniamo al prossimo viaggio.

Overall very pleasant experience.
Clean and well prepared rooms. Enough space to place the luggages.
Staff members are very polite and helpful. A king sized bed was mistakenly placed for us when we requested 2 regular sized beds. The staff offered to send in a bed as a compromise for one night, and the man who brought the bed to our room was very polite and careful.
The location is also close to a bunch of spots and food courts, making it an excellent choice to stay at for multiple days.

+ Was an excellent stay. Great pools and jacuzzi.
- Room clean could be better as they did not top up the tea or sweetener, or laundry detergent. When called to bring sweetener, they brought sugar instead.
= But overall, nothing that couldn't be rectified. Would stay again and as I usually do at the Meriton.

But when it comes to booking and service this is another story .. for the money I paid to stay 2 night I thought this would be the perfect place to rest I’m 5 star style .. place yes , service a disaster. Firstly when I arrived at Swiss bel .. I went to reception to book in as I booked online a queen bed room he asked if I had a vehicle I said yes agreed to the $35 a night and he said he would just take it out of the bond I paid at end if that was ok I said yes perfect .. when I got up to my room it was 2 single I called reception and advised I had booked a queen bed and there is 2 singles he said oh the house keeper hadn’t changed the beds or didn’t look at booking , I asked if someone could just come up and fix .. he said there is noone to do this now come down and j will find another room for you . I went down stairs said I would go get something to eat and when I come back hopefully a room will be sorted. I came back he advised me that he had upgraded me and I asked if I could have the new key and I will switch rooms and come back down with the other key to save me bringing my luggage down and then back up again. I got to room and key didn’t work to go to 6th floor . So I brought my luggage down and told reception that key didn’t work . He said sometimes this happens with those keys /actually quite often said he would come up with me and check . Yes card did not work so he used his staff card to let me in said he would fix and come back . He came back 10mins later to test and it had been foxed . Not sure what the upgrade as as room was smaller than the first , had no shower gel (was empty container when I went into have a shower) thought it may have been replenished on next day with room
Clean still empty on second day and cleaner took face washers and never replaced them so I washed with shampoo and a hand towel .. when I came back on second day went to put card into open the car park and it didn’t work .. I went to reception to let them know I was trying to get into car park and the card doesn’t work, she (Asian lady) advised me that I hadn’t paid for parking .. I had to explain everything from the night before then asked me they will take it out of my bind I said yes that’s what I agreed with the night before . No apology just more interested in getting payment for parking. She added parking to

Went back into get then came out .. followed me down then gave me a card .. I later received a phone call from a lady called Theresa asking how my stay was and I explain that it has been the most disappointing experience I have had ever ! Explained the above she said she would come and replace the shower gel and face washers I said it’s ok I have already had my shower used a hand towel and shampoo because I’m already in bed .. she said that I hope that my stay apologetic on my experience already , I hope it is better from now and if I need anything to contact her and ask for Theresa I said thank you I appreciated the call … then then 10
Minutes later she comes knocking on my door I have to get dress to answer the door she knocks again I said I’m coming
She is at the door with the shower gel and face washers getting me out of bed . I understand why she brought it but I told her I was in bed and I had already showered . So then I go to hand my key in to check out to be told I have outstanding parking I need to pay .. I advised Theresa that it is coming out of the bond payed and this has been told now to 3 people .. as I said place is absolutely fantastic.. apart from missing shower gel and tissues
Not sure what or how I was uograded as the room was smaller and no window as in first room

PPHILLIP JAMESThe Mantra Hotel has outstanding location. It is directly in front of the Woolworths supermarket - the best option in central Cairns. It's also virtually opposite (the esplanade side)the lagoon public beachfront swimming pool. Finally it's just a 5 minute walk from Cairns Cruise Terminal, with outstanding day trips to Green Island, Fitzroy Island and the Reef. I booked a sea view room. When you enter the room, you don't see the ocean, but a building across the road. However, the view from the balcony was amazing. The balcony overlooks the main features of lagoon on the sea front. During the day it is great view - the lagoon pools and sea in the background. At night you cannot see the sea (as to be expected) but you have the amazing lagoon lights, which makes it very desirable and even romantic. Our room was at the end of block, which overlooks a shopping mall (no car noise) - looking right from the balcony is the lagoon view and looking left is a mountain view. However, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm the sun comes directly into the balcony area, which means it unusable until sun sets. Of course if you don't mind baking in the sun on the balcony, this is not really a concern. The room itself is pretty basic. The mini fridge of OK and TV has domestic channels only - no cable TV for BBC/CNN. The bathroom is of a good size. There is combined shower & bath. However, when using the shower, it can slightly flood this bathroom. A shower curtain may be desirable because the glass panel is not sufficient enough. At $225 per night this hotel was not cheap and you can better deals by coming in the off-season OR going bit further down the esplanade, and choosing another hotel. The Mantra does have its own pool and it is wonderfully heated, with normal deck chairs you would expect at 4 star hotel. However, the pool gets very little natural sunlight, because it of its location between 2 buildings. Overall, the hotel has amazing location, and it is still recommended, despite the shortcomings mentioned. My final note: When we checked in, I was impressed with the level of service provided by the receptionist. She had a very welcome attitude and a wonderful personality.

TTraveller354Dopo aver letto le recensioni molto miste, abbiamo proceduto e ne abbiamo prenotato.
La posizione era bella, le visione respirose, gli animali adorabili, ma quando si è arrivato a spendere tempo, non c'era molto da fare.
Siamo arrivati in una navetta più tardi, quindi sapevamo che non avremmo avuto molto tempo per goderci il sole dopo l'arrivo, ma a causa di una miscela, i bagagli sono andati per un'ora per farci perdere ogni possibilità di entrare nella piscina mentre era caldo fuori.
Dopo, siamo andati a cena. Ci sono solo 2 ristoranti disponibili, e senza fare una prenotazione prima della mano, è un po' difficile andare quando vuoi. Il cibo era ok, ma costoso come si aspetta da un posto come questo. Una volta terminata la cena, il divertimento serale (Alice in Wonderland screening) era già in corso e abbiamo trovato nulla da fare alle 9:00.

Il giorno successivo abbiamo pianificato un giorno di snorkelling, di alimentazione di strisciatori e di kayaking.
Apprezziamo l'attrezzatura di snorkeling gratuita, nonché le chiare istruzioni e raccomandazioni di sicurezza del guardiano di vita. L'esperienza di mangiare Ray era sorprendente e era chiaro che il personale sapeva di cosa parlavano e che erano affettuosi per gli animali.
Tuttavia, i caiacchi e altri sport acquatici sono stati cancellati a causa dei venti alti, lasciandoci ancora una volta senza nulla da fare. Prima cena (un momento molto divertente con i wallabie che cercano di rubare il nostro cibo e di essere super cuddly), una passeggiata intorno alla spiaggia, un film nella stanza e letto presto.
Quindi, in tutto, bella posizione con grandi esperienze meteo consentite, assicuratevi di portare qualche intrattenimento se l'acqua è troppo fredda per nuotare nella piscina o il tempo diventa amareggiato. Forse un libro o qualche gioco di tavolo?
Inoltre: se si desidera cibo alla fine della sera, assicurarsi di portare qualche snack, poiché c'è una selezione limitata.

Great rooms on the 22nd floor. The beds are very comfortable, and the room is spacious for up to 3/4 people.
The downside for us was that the staff at the reception told us that there wasn't a restaurant located in the hotel when we enquired while checking in, so we went out to look for something to eat after we checked in to the hotel, only to get back to find a brochure in our room advertising a Cafe conveniently located in the hotel for guests.
I highly recommend that the staff need to be informed of any changes in the hotel so that they are able to provide accurate information about the hotel to the guests.
The check-in and check-out process was great, made conveniently for guests and staff, there's no long cues at the reception👍🏾
We'll definitely be returning.

UUtente ospiteThe location is wonderful .. short walk to surfers paradise and skypoint is just right next door. Easy to get from airport as the tram stop is just right next to skypoint. Many cafe and restaurant choices. Did not use the pool or gym. Noise can be heard from room as the walls are thin. Easy check in .. staff did not advise much on the resort facilities and we figure out the wifi password base on the sticker on the kitchen wall. Our rooms balcony look out into the pool which is nice.

PPrasadQuesto hotel è spettacolare!!! Non abbastanza parole possono esprimere quanto è bella. Ogni membro del personale ti ha fatto sentire individualmente benvenuto e veramente guardato. Ogni persona aveva sempre un sorriso e veramente voleva aiutare. Gina e Alex, per esempio, nel ristorante di colazione Critique, sono stati estremamente utili e al vostro servizio. Rahul alla reception è stato utile e ha spiegato tutte le strutture dell'hotel. Il responsabile della manutenzione è stato estremamente gentile, amichevole e utile. La zona della laguna ti ha fatto sentire come se fossi a Bali, Phuket, ecc. Per dire che è spettacolare è un sottovalutazione. Per tutta la mia permanenza, ogni membro del personale ha fatto il mio compleanno estremamente speciale, memorabile e secondo a nessuno mai esperienze prima. Grazie a tutti i dipendenti di JW.
