Me and my wife did an overnight at the Circle Hotel Fairfield while attending a local event. The service people at the front desk were very nice and helpful, and there was someone staffing it overnight. They were also training new staff while we were there, but there was always someone experienced there to ensure good service. We had a dual-queen sized room as it was what fit our budget with the Trip.com discounts. We stayed in building 2 which is a very short walk from the main building. The room was spacious, basic but nicely enough decorated, and nicely clean-enough, though the toilet seat had been through some things and maintenance should have replaced it, but it wasn't broken. I let the front desk know and they said they'd have it addressed. The room had basic amenities (2 free bottles of water was nice), coffee maker, Ironing board iiron, soap, shampoo/conditioner/bodywash, tissue box, etc. A closet with a few hangers It could have used more hangers and it would have been nice to have a suitcase stand. No dresser/drawers, and no phone. There was a serviceable mini-fridge. We didn't use the TV so I can't comment on it. There wasn't a book with local businesses listed or deals for them, etc. The front desk area has a little shop you can buy overpriced neccesities and drinks. There's a pool out back that looks nice. There's also a nice lounge area inside and chairs/tables to relax outside out back. There was a decent breakfast layout, but it's mostly a variety of bread stuffs/carbs - not diabetic or keto friendly. They did have hard boiled eggs, fruit, and hot cereal packets so there are meager non-carb options. There was also cereals, sugar-sweetend yogurts, and a variety of drinks including coffee and juices. The make-it-yourself waffles were a nice touch. I would have liked bacon or sausage, but overall for the room rate it was a nice breakfast layout. We'd ordered food at night from Seamless and got a delivery to our room door with no problem. Note: Restaurants close early in the area, but there's a nearby 24hr McDonalds that's drive-through and order-only after 10pm. There's also a decent diner open right next to the hotel during the day. And shopping center across the road. If you don't feel like driving, the local main street bus stops right in front of the hotel on either side of the street going in both directions. Great if you're checking out the local brewery, which also has good food and was an A+ experience. Just make sure you have quarters for the bus. $1.75 per person gives you a 2-hour ”unlimited” pass to use the local busses in either direction. Overall, we liked our stay and would stay again in the future if the price is right. Compared to our experiences with similar hotels, under $140 was just right for our room as they had minimal business and it was nicely quiet. If they were busier, I'd expect $100 to $120 deal, and very busy, maybe less.. If I can think of anything else I'll update my review. I hope it helps!

Sempre pronto a rispondere a qualsiasi dubbio o domanda. +Il personale delle pulizie veniva ogni giorno se non diversamente richiesto, mantieni le camere molto pulite e ordinate. +Vicino al centro cittadino - circa cinque minuti in auto, circa 15 minuti a piedi - con molto spazio disponibile per il parcheggio. +Colazione gratuita al mattino! +Disponibile una buona e potente connessione WiFi - Internet perso molto brevemente una volta ogni due settimane. + Dog-friendly con tariffe ragionevoli! Hotel, nel suo complesso, sembrava datato come altri hanno già detto. Io e il mio partner abbiamo fatto molte battute sul fatto che assomigliasse a Shining. Non ci importava, ma qualcosa da notare. La colazione gratuita aveva una selezione limitata. Non aspettarti buffet completi, solo qualcosa che ti accompagni dalla mattina fino al pranzo. Non abbiamo avuto la possibilità di utilizzare i servizi (lavanderia, palestra), ma ci sono stati offerti. -I letti erano duri e scomodi per noi. Avevamo bisogno di acquistare un materasso in schiuma per rendere il sonno più sopportabile, poiché i fianchi e la schiena hanno iniziato a far male dopo le prime due notti. -Gli ascensori si sono guastati più di un paio di volte durante il nostro soggiorno. Per fortuna hanno lavorato il giorno del check-out, altrimenti saremmo stati nei guai! NEL COMPLESSO: Per il prezzo e la posizione, siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti del nostro soggiorno! Adoro il personale, l'attenzione e la coerenza. Avrei voluto solo che avessero letti migliori e ascensori meno capricciosi. Anche con l'aspetto datato, se hai bisogno di un posto dove stare, questo posto fa il lavoro per un prezzo che non ti brucerà il portafoglio. Noi raccomandiamo!

Found this place in hopes that it would be a decent stay close to Foxwoods. Reading the reviews made us think we’d be okay. We were expect a 5 star hotel, but this place was sad, old and needs a major upgrade. Upon arriving and checking into our rooms the staff was friendly enough. The layout was interesting and the area was secluded. We still felt hopeful. Our room smelled immediately off like someone sprayed a lemon scent to hide a scent. It was so dated and just falling apart. Broken bed, the bathroom door wouldn’t fully open, thin sheets and pillows the size of my toddlers. Chipping walls, no wifi, toilet wouldn’t flush, old dirty tub and surrounding. I felt like I got in a Time Machine back to 1991. It’s just one of those places you don’t feel clean at. Our friends room right next to ours which clammed to be non smoking, reeked of cigarettes. There room was just as old and broken. They let us know of the limo service and that we were allowed to use it until 3 am, but it came with very demanding strict rules. I’ve never experienced this. I’ve used other shuttles at other hotels and they had a were there every 15 min ect type plan. We “reserved” the 4:30 slot. When we walked up to the limo I was honestly scared. She needs to go in and get checked out immediately. She was falling apart in and out. Sounded horrible. We made it there safely and the driver was super nice. Only reason besides location why I’m giving one star. When we got picked up, we crammed into this I’m pretty sure is going to die any day limo. No Ubers we’re available. Took our chances. It was a monsoon out and the drive honestly scared me into a panic attack. This place could have wonderful potential if the right owners bought it and gave it the love she needs. If you’re looking for a place to crash close to the ****** and not spend a fortune this is the place for you. If you’re expecting anything else, please spend the extra money and go elsewhere!

Mentre usciva per la sera o durante il colazione nel lobby, 1500 dollari in contanti sono stati presi dal mio bagaglio, sepolti in una borsa, nella nostra stanza. Il manager mi accusa di non usare l'hotel in sicurezza e non ha fornito prove promesse di segnalare la perdita alla loro società di assicurazione. Naturalmente non mi credono, ma non ho tempo per presentare tali richieste. Durante il check-in, entravano anche due grandi convenzioni, e il rumore del lobby era così alto, era quasi impossibile comunicare con l'agente di ufficio. Il colazione era solo per conforto e mediocre al meglio. E erano lenti a riempire. Sto rinunciando ai miei punti di premio per lo status argento e cercherò di trovare alloggi altrove da ora in poi, perché non mi sento al sicuro in questo hotel e non mi fido di Hilton in generale. La loro “indagine” è diventata vuota. Un caso presentato al Dipartimento di Protezione dei Consumatori di Connecticut non è stato riuscito, perché il grande tizio nega e vince, e non gli darei stelle se potessi.

Questo hotel ha un grande lobby aperto con un bar e molte aree per usare laptop o raccogliere in piccoli gruppi. Il parcheggio convenzionale in una garage era situato sotto l'hotel. L'ascensore era estremamente efficiente. Eravamo al 8° piano e non ci aspettavamo mai. Il personale dell'hotel è difficile da raggiungere per telefono, ma quando siamo arrivati ci lasciano andare in camera un po' presto. I letti sono molto confortevoli e molto alti! La TV remota è strano e abbiamo dovuto chiamare per scoprire come usarlo. Il caffè è arrivato tardi, l'hotel è molto vicino a I-95 che è stato utile.

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Hartford on Friday, July 19th - Monday, July 22, 2024. We were there for the Hartford Jazz Festival and go every year. We are world travelers and have never had an experience like this anywhere. I completed the survey while we were still there and someone responded immediately. I then responded to the email and attached pictures, however, I have not had an additional response. Before I list my concerns I do have to say that the staff were friendly and tried their best. They did not have enough help, support and supplies for a sold out hotel. And before you ask if I complained, I did not. I overheard other people asking for new rooms and there were not any available. I also heard the staff complaining to each other and I felt so bad for them. Concerns: - the room smelled especially around the door - my husband used the bathroom before me and cleaned the shower, it was covered in hair - I washed the floor later and have pictures of the dirty towel - the sink in the bathroom did not drain - rust all over the shower head and racks - the exhaust in the bathroom did not work - the bathroom door was rotten along the edge - there was mold around the tub floor - the wall near the tub was falling away and rotten - tried to sit by the pool but the smell from the Sewer Treatment Plant next door was so strong that I had a headache. It was like that all week. - the curtains in the room were ripped - the remote control on the TV did not work - the clock was covered in dust - there was not enough food during breakfast, they ran out of everything, eggs, yogurt etc. - Saturday night they ran out of towels and linens - there was only one staff person on Saturday night, there was trash in the halls and no one to clean it

We stayed this past weekend for one night (thankfully) and while entering the hotel front doors we were suddenly greeted by a huge construction site upon arrival. Now I understand properties update but this was over the top and the property should shut down to fully complete the renovations rather than continue to book without disclosing the information during the reservation process. This is not a good business practice and fair to consumers. First, the major renovations should be noted prior to booking as it is throughout the whole hotel and is causing major hazards and multiple inconveniences throughout the stay including plastic sheets hanging throughout the halls causing confusion as to where to go and trouble navigating with children and luggage, wet paint in many areas, carpeting taped down or ripped up and rolled in the middle of the hallway, high scaffolds blocking entrances, loud construction tools being used, dust flying throughout the hotel, no front check in area, no convenience shop to purchase drinks etc. Since we had already paid and it was after 4:00 we had no other option but to stay. We hoped our rooms would be a different story than what we encountered in the lobby and halls. When we entered the two rooms we booked we noticed they were outdated, however knowing now they were being renovated we gave them the benefit of the doubt. However while we were in the rooms we noticed many things completely unacceptable, such as lights not working (including the lights right next to the door when you entered), black mold in the high corners of the bathroom, food left from previous guests under the ottoman (which means they did not move them while cleaning), no soap left in the bathroom soap dispenser, broken shower doors and shower head, hair in corners of the bathroom and shower area, paint peeling and chipped off of the wall and the AC unit not cooling with a mildew smell. We also heard people yelling out by the pool area overnight and noticed one person sleeping out in the chairs. Needless to say we barley slept and left as early as possible the next day. While we were leaving the front desk staff or person sitting down looking at a phone near what would be the area of a front desk barley even looked up to acknowledge us all packed up early and checking out. Never once did they apologize for any issues that were clearly going on at their hotel. Be aware of the positive reviews on their main site and other sites and if you do need to book a room, clearly ask about their renovation status.
