Hotel a 4 stelle in Mimaropa, Filippine

* Upon arrival, the air conditioning unit in our villa was not properly maintained. The filter was extremely dirty and clogged, causing excessive noise and poor performance. We had to clean it ourselves in order to use it. * There is little to no mobile signal in the area, and the WiFi connection has been unreliable due to ongoing maintenance, making it very difficult to stay connected. * There has been significant noise disturbance from construction work directly behind our villa, including the use of loud power tools throughout most of the day over several days. * We were only informed about a wedding taking place upon check-in. As a result, we were unable to use the sunbeds located outside our villa and had to relocate further away. Also due to the wedding taking place, the hotel had to make many soundchecks during the day before, playing very loud music which made it hard to relax on the beach. The wedding guests (80+ people) were allowed to use the villa next to us, as their designated toilet, which caused a lot of back and forth from the weddings guests right by our villa. This made it difficult to relax. * Additionally, we find that the restaurant prices are quite high compared to the quality of the food. For example, breakfast at 800 PHP did not meet basic expectations, as even simple items such as cheese and ham for bread were missing. I’m also sorry to say that the chicken adobo is tasteless, and on the menu it says the menu has been created by a Michelin chef. My mango daquiri tasted only of alcohol, so I had to ask for one with less alcohol. As a certified bartender, that is unacceptable. Even the French fries were not done properly as they needed more time in the oven (I think that’s what they used to make them at least, I would prefer if they were fried in oil though). However, very good mango shakes. * We would also like to mention that the access roads leading to the property are in very poor condition. The roads consist mainly of uneven gravel and are full of deep potholes, which make driving quite difficult and uncomfortable. In some areas, it is only possible to drive at around 10 km/h due to the condition of the road. We believe that the roads would greatly benefit from proper maintenance or being paved with cement, as this would significantly improve accessibility and the overall guest experience. We understand that some of these issues may be temporary or unforeseen, but taken together they have had a significant impact on our stay. However I would really like to highlight Hazel from the reception at the Nacpan Beach Villas. She was really sweet and thorough when we had any questions and went the extra mile for us. She deserves a raise. Please let her know we were really happy with her and really appreciated her.

Pro: Il nostro soggiorno al Piece Lio è stato nel complesso discreto. L'estetica corrispondeva alle foto online e il monolocale era spazioso, con un grazioso balcone con vista sulla foresta pluviale. Ho apprezzato molto l'asciugacapelli Dyson in camera, che ha reso tutto molto più semplice con i capelli lunghi. Il personale è stato cordiale, educato e gentile, grazie ragazzi! Contro: Ci sono stati alcuni piccoli problemi in camera, come macchie di vernice che si staccavano e piccoli buchi vicino alle persiane, che necessitano di attenzione, soprattutto per un hotel relativamente nuovo. La delusione più grande è stata scoprire che non c'è una palestra o una spa, nonostante entrambe siano elencate nella descrizione dell'hotel. Questo potrebbe non essere un grosso problema per tutti, ma lo è stato per noi, dato che avevamo pianificato il nostro viaggio incentrato sul mantenimento della nostra routine di fitness e relax. Invece, gli ospiti hanno accesso alle strutture dello stesso gruppo alberghiero. La palestra e la spa si trovano fuori sede, a circa 15 minuti di distanza in città. Sebbene l'hotel offra un servizio navetta gratuito da e per la struttura, il tragitto sembra molto più lungo del previsto a causa delle strade dell'isola. La palestra è piccola con attrezzature essenziali, e la spa, chiamata Rituals Health and Spa, sembrava vecchia e bisognosa di ristrutturazione. La colazione era nella media e non proprio di nostro gradimento. Era anche scomodo perché la maggior parte dei ristoranti del Lio Beach non apre prima delle 10:00 circa, lasciando poche opzioni per la mattina presto. Abbiamo finito per mangiare in un altro ristorante dell'hotel nelle vicinanze, il Molave, che era l'unico aperto a quell'ora. Un membro del personale ci ha erroneamente detto che c'erano altre opzioni disponibili prima, il che suggerisce la necessità di una migliore formazione e comunicazione. Un altro problema riguardava un passaggio in pulmino prenotato per una delle spiagge. Lo avevamo confermato tramite WhatsApp, ma quando siamo scesi, il personale non ne aveva traccia. A loro merito, hanno gestito la situazione con professionalità e ci hanno offerto un passaggio di sola andata gratuito per compensare l'inconveniente. In generale: Il personale è stato cordiale e disponibile, ma la direzione deve migliorare la comunicazione, la formazione e, soprattutto, l'accuratezza dei servizi elencati online. Sembra fuorviante pubblicizzare una palestra e una spa che in realtà non fanno parte dell'hotel. Anche la mancanza di un ristorante interno è stata scomoda, soprattutto quando si desidera un pasto veloce senza uscire dalla struttura. Se l'hotel in futuro aggiungesse una spa e una palestra interne, l'esperienza sarebbe decisamente migliore. L'abbiamo consigliato ad amici per un breve soggiorno prima del loro volo, ma non consiglierei di prenotarlo se la vostra priorità è avere palestra e spa in un unico posto. Nel complesso, ci tornerei se avessero aggiunto i servizi! P.S. ci sono i gatti! Non sono un amante dei gatti, quindi è stato un po' scomodo averli al piano di sotto, nella hall.

Honest Review Pros: - The lady who was in charge (We think she's the manager) is really nice and helpful. - Distance: THIS WAS THE ULTIMATE DEAL. Hotel is near the beach and most of the local restaurants so we didn't experience any problem. (I recommend the cafe and 'Terminal' near the beach 😊) - AC and the room was perfect. It was really hot outside and the temp plus the room felt really homey and comfy - The hotel was really pretty or what we call aesthetic. My baby really liked the designs - Free breakfast and coffee was a good deal, but don't expect too much. - How much we got the reservation for 3d2n. Great offer from this app :) - Staff are nice especially the ones in the restaurant. Wasn't able to ask her name but she was a waiter there and also served our food (afternoon) and the guy who was at the front desk when we checked out Cons: - Service fee. I do understand that this is necessary to support the staff, but if you are on a tight budget it might be better to eat outside (sorry...) - Food was too expensive for the quality and the quantity... I recommend the chicken inasal since it had a big portion. - Room service and cleanliness - Manager said we could ask for a room service and we could just call them of we need one. We called them on our second day and we waited until our stay ended but no onr came to clean 😅 The girl who answered the phone was kinda masungit or maybe it was the tone of her voice. She told me that they are quiet busy at the moment and told me to just wait - I do understand if they're short staffed or something? But the dirt was kinda bothering us already so we just tried to clean the room on our own - Cockroaches and ants. So in connection to my previous review... Yes, there are cockroaches in the room especially the bathroom. It doesn't help that they don't clean the rooms daily. - Breakfast is not a room service. You have to go down to the restaurant and eat it there. - Room view. Our room was in the corner of the hotel. Our view was okay because we are can view the pool... And our neighbors ac unit lmao. On the plus side since the units were emitting hot air, it was easier for us to dry our towels 😂 It was really different from the picture. - Pool was kinda dirty - Overpriced goods. They have a mini store in the hotel but it would be better to pack up snacks or drinks before coming here. - OUTSIDE FOOD ARE NOT ALLOWED. Better be careful when bringing meals in the hotel. Even after listing this, we would still love to come back and stay here. I do hope they give us a better room next time 😅

We stayed for a night at this hidden villa, and it felt like a true home away from home. The staff were incredibly kind and respectful, providing excellent service that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The food was a highlight—absolutely delicious, with a healthy breakfast offered in the morning. You can even request a floating breakfast, which added a special touch to the experience. While the villa is tucked away down a short gravel road, the peaceful and private setting made it worth the effort. The villa is kid-friendly, but families should be cautious around the tiled swimming pool area. There’s no TV, so if you’re traveling with children, make sure their devices are charged. Fortunately, the Wi-Fi is strong and reliable. Overall, it was a lovely, relaxing stay with amazing food and warm hospitality. We highly recommend this villa for a cozy and memorable getaway.

Per un grande ristorante, alcuni dettagli potrebbero essere migliori. Soprattutto il colazione. La pulizia della stanza è su richiesta e non perfetta. Il riposo è ok.

L'hotel è piuttosto lontano dalla città, quindi la posizione non è delle più comode. Inoltre, giusto un avvertimento: c'è un cimitero nelle vicinanze, nel caso in cui a qualcuno interessi. La camera era pulita e il servizio era super-super-mega-eccellente. Senza dubbio il punto forte del nostro soggiorno. Anche la spa era fantastica, solo un po' complicata da prenotare perché possono ospitare solo due persone alla volta. C'erano molti insetti in giro per la struttura. Non sorprende, visto che ci troviamo in provincia, ma non sono piccoli, quindi altri dovrebbero esserne informati. Gran parte del resort era in fase di ristrutturazione, quindi non abbiamo potuto usufruire della maggior parte dei servizi. Ma la piscina era molto pulita e ci siamo divertiti molto. Nel complesso, è stato un soggiorno piacevole, ma probabilmente la prossima volta proverò un altro resort.

From the moment we left the port, our Matinloc experience already felt special. The boat ride was smooth, and the boatmen immediately assisted us with our luggage. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Ms. Jam from FO/Reservations, who gave us a friendly tour and clear briefing. Even before the trip, Reservations Manager Ms. Jeannette had already been very responsive to my emails, making the planning stress-free. Our VIP villa, perched on a cliff, offered an astounding view that raised the standard of our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the generous souvenirs and hygiene kits provided. The staff were consistently attentive and polite special thanks to FO Supervisor Ms. Jhona and their Korean General Manager for adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highlights of our stay included the refreshing fresh fruit shakes, fun water activities, the amazing walking path lined with century-old trees, and of course, the delicious food (their pizza was a standout). The WiFi was surprisingly fast..even powered by Starlink at the port. We also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of staff recommending where to get beers in town since they don’t sell alcohol on-site. Matinloc truly combines paradise-like views with genuine hospitality. Maraming salamat to the whole team for making this my best El Nido stay so far.. I would gladly return a hundred times over.

Era la nostra prima volta a El Nido e siamo stati contenti di aver scelto Huni Lio. Si tratta di un bellissimo resort fronte mare situato a circa 15-20 minuti dalla vivace piazza del paese. La camera familiare era molto spaziosa, il personale cordiale e disponibile e la colazione a buffet non ha deluso le aspettative. Soprattutto, tutta la nostra famiglia ha apprezzato la posizione e l'atmosfera di questo posto, insieme alla serie di ristoranti e bar sulla spiaggia di Lio.

We had an amazing stay at Sheraton Palawan! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly accommodating and attentive, especially the front office team who made us feel right at home. Their smiles and professionalism truly set the tone for our vacation. A very special mention goes to Hassanul Caye from the restaurant — he went above and beyond in accommodating our requests and made every dining experience extra memorable. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of options that kept us looking forward to every meal. The pool is impressively huge and perfect for both relaxation and fun, while the updated amenities gave us that modern yet cozy feel we were looking for. On top of it all, the breathtaking mountain view added such a serene and refreshing touch to our stay. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. Sheraton Palawan is truly a place where hospitality meets comfort, and we can’t wait to come back again soon!

Il divertente leone è una delle migliori esperienze alberghiere che abbia mai avuto. Il servizio è stato ottimo, non potevo chiedere di più. Sono stati molto accomodanti e disponibili. Il personale ci ha fatto sentire i benvenuti in ogni fase del percorso. Il bar sul tetto con vasca idromassaggio era perfetto per iniziare o terminare la giornata con la vista tentacolare sul lago e sulle montagne. Uno dei migliori viaggi che abbia mai avuto. Questo hotel non è pretenzioso. La colazione era ottima con una buona varietà di cibi.
