Hotel a 4 stelle in Prefettura di Nagano, Giappone

We chose this resort as it was the nearest to Ogizawa station to start our alpine route. Stayed 2 nights in the family room and kids love the bunk bed and had fun swimming and playing in the kids club. Had our meals at Eden and Botanica. Food was good, abit pricy for dinner (though kids eat free). Front desk service was great starting from the time I emailed my queries and having birthday cake arranged for my girl. Will definitely consider this hotel if we are ever back here again.

Abbiamo apprezzato molto il posto; avere un bagno privato in camera ha migliorato notevolmente il relax e ci ha permesso di apprezzare appieno l'esperienza tradizionale. Per quanto riguarda i servizi, tutto era generalmente buono. Poter utilizzare tutti i bagni del ryokan ha reso l'esperienza più piacevole. La camera era un po' polverosa, ma nel complesso andava bene. Per quanto riguarda il servizio, la cena è stata molto buona, ma vale la pena notare che se si chiede un consiglio, esitano a darne uno perché è al di fuori del loro repertorio abituale. La colazione, dal nostro punto di vista, è stata un po' meno curata; è già apparecchiata sul tavolo e non viene spiegata come avviene a cena. Allo stesso modo, durante il nostro soggiorno, abbiamo avuto l'impressione che il personale non fosse molto attento agli ospiti e non ci abbia informato su tutti i servizi offerti. Gli yukata possono essere acquistati in hotel per circa 5.000 yen.

La camera era ben grande e i letti erano molto confortevoli. La vista nella stanza era un'illuminazione, vista su un bel giardino verde con montagne nel fondo. La zona è lussuosa e verde, e c'è anche un lago che aggiunge all'atmosfera. C'è anche un'area di attività, anche se è progettata principalmente per bambini e richiede un onere aggiuntivo. L'affitto di bicicletta è disponibile, ma è stato sorprendentemente costoso, probabilmente il più alto che abbia mai visto in Giappone. La notte di notte è stata chiusa per due delle nostre tre notti, ma non è stata così buona come quella dell'hotel. Un bel toccamento è stato il caffè. C'è un popolare caffè in città chiamato Mikado, e l'hotel ha fornito il loro caffè gocciolato gratuitamente ogni giorno. Era eccellente, e quando abbiamo chiesto di più, si sono fornito gentilmente di nuovo a nessun costo aggiuntivo. C'è anche un FamilyMart all'interno dell'hotel, che porta alcuni prodotti regionali unici. Questo è stato molto interessante e un bel dettaglio. Il servizio di autobus era sempre in tempo, e i conducenti erano gentili e amichevoli. Il centro commerciale vicino, che fa parte dell'area dell'hotel, offre molte marche popolari a prezzi relativamente buoni. Ci sono anche alcune buone opzioni di ristorante all'interno del centro. Non ho fatto colazione all'hotel, quindi non posso commentare. In generale, è stato un buon soggiorno.

We spent 2 nights in Prince after first 2 nights in Kusatsu onsen town. The hotel looked underwhelming on arrival and the front office service was efficient but cursory compared to the warm hospitality we had in the ryokan stay. It was low season and hotel was very quiet and had a ”cold” atmosphere. I was further disappointed when we were shown our room which was on the lowest floor with a simple garden view. On requesting the check-in staff for a change of room on higher floor and a more scenic view, I was told there is an upgrade charge, which I accepted. The new room was the same size and configuration but on a higher floor with a nice view of Mt Asama. While I was happy to pay the fee, I can't help but compare their practice with all the hotels that I have stayed in all these years, where room changes were complimentary so long as the room type remains the same. Nevertheless, the hotel's facilities delighted me immensely and I enjoyed the overall experience. The highlight of the hotel stay was the fantastic view of Asama in a high ceiling dining room with full glass window. We were able to have different table seatings for both morning breakfast as the hotel occupancy was low, which gave us different perspectives of the scenery. The other highlight of the hotel is the onsen facility which is located in a separate building on higher ground, accessible via a self service automated tram. Aside from Asama view in the outdoor onsens, there is a common lounge which has equally awesome view of Asama. We enjoyed our time soaking in onsen and resting in the lounge. Was I would go back to Prince Asama and experience the scenery during a different season!

Rimasi alla fine di giugno per vedere l'incredibile vista di Itawake. Nessuna sciazione, solo soffocando nella natura di Hakuba. Hotel era tranquillo, circondato da alberi perfetto per le passeggiate rilassanti. Il personale era amichevole e super utile. La stanza era pulita, un po' piccola per quello che abbiamo prenotato. La colazione era buona, una miscela di giapponesi e occidentali. Il cibo era l'accento reale così rinfrescante dopo un giorno. Anche senza neve, Mominoki era una grande base. Cosy, tranquillo, e benvenuto. Sarebbe rimasto.

Location - requires abit of walking from the train station, it is not the worst compared to other Onyado/Dormy Inns and was manageable for us. (The worst in my opinion, is the one at Sendai. The one in Kanazawa would require a taxi/bus ride from main JR station.) Reception staff - service attitude differs. In general, they do try their best. Some elude warmth and it reminds me of how Japan was before it was crowded with tourists. 1 or 2 individual younger staff look at tourists and our bags with an expression that seems like a combination of exasperation and derision, and that made me feel uncomfortable. Different Onyado(s) has different rules, this one does not require us to pass locker keys to the front desk which is great. All Onyado(s) tend to have this odd layout in the rooms whereby the TV is NOT aligned with our beds. We ended up not using the TV! I appreciate how this Onyado took note of my request for more pillows and they were ready in the room when I got there. (See picture - pillows in black bags.) The extra pillows are extremely essential because Onyado/Dormy Inn pillows tend to be extremely flat & provides little/no support. Breakfast spread was a little disappointing - there was very little fresh seafood (e.g. no mentaiko). Beef was too overcooked and the drink machine ran out of oolong tea the night before and was still not replenished at breakfast. Across the different Onyado(s)/Dormy Inns I have stayed at, breakfast at this one can be skipped.

E' rimasto qui diverse volte prima, e questa visita si è sentita molto diversa. Un cambiamento positivo è che la sala è stata trasferita dal lobby al terzo piano, rendendo lo spazio molto più aperto e confortevole, senza dover riunire gli ospiti. La riduzione delle ore di colazione è comprensibile, ma la riduzione del servizio di cena di 30 minuti addizionali a solo 90 minuti fa sentire l'esperienza sfortunata. Data la dimensione della zona di mangiare e il numero di ospiti, la raccolta dei cibi richiede tempo. Più importante, una delle ragioni per cui la gente scelga di visitare Nagano è godere di un'atmosfera più lenta e più rilassata. Con solo 90 minuti per cena, non c'è abbastanza tempo per godere confortevolmente il pasto stesso, lasciando solo finire con caffè e dolcezza. Capisco che l’aumento dei costi di funzionamento può richiedere adeguamenti, e apprezzo gli sforzi dell’hotel per gestire nell’ambito del bilancio, ma, in quanto il turismo di gruppo aumenta, il mantenimento dell’esperienza prevista dai singoli viaggiatori diventa sempre più importante. Purtroppo, questa volta si è sentito che sia la qualità del cibo sia il tempo di cibo erano diminuiti simultaneamente, e il calo della qualità è stato notabile. In generale, apprezzo ancora i miglioramenti apportati alle aree comuni, ma spero che l'hotel possa riconsiderare come conciliare l'efficienza operativa con la qualità dell'esperienza degli ospiti.

Questo hotel ha una bella vista sulle montagne. Il personale è estremamente amichevole, utile e conosciuto. Il colazione è stata eccellente con una buona selezione di cibo occidentale e giapponese. Le camere sono confortevoli e hanno anche una bella vista. Se stai qui per sciare, questo hotel è una fermata di navi, quindi è facile arrivare alle corse. Ci fermeremo qui la prossima volta che visitamo Hakuba.

I stayed at this hotel for one night, and overall, it was quite a pleasant experience. I really liked my room — it was clean, modern, and comfortable. The only thing that surprised me was that the window to the balcony didn’t open, though I suppose it was designed that way. The onsen was absolutely wonderful — spacious, relaxing, and with a beautiful view of a mountain river. Definitely one of the highlights of my stay. The hotel also offers many different areas for leisure and entertainment. You can play table tennis, relax in cozy rest zones, visit small cafés and shops — there’s a lot to explore without even leaving the building. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with a wide variety of food to choose from. However, due to the number of guests, it was a bit challenging for the staff to manage everything smoothly. On two occasions, someone almost took my table, even though I had already placed the reservation card on it to show it was taken. That said, the staff overall were very pleasant, friendly, and helpful, and I appreciated their attitude throughout my stay. This hotel is clearly family-oriented, with many families staying with young children. There are rooms with child-friendly designs and dedicated play areas, so if you’re looking for a quiet, adult-only atmosphere, this might not be the best fit. That said, I genuinely enjoyed my stay and would consider coming back.

Non andare in questo hotel se avete bisogno di cibo vegetariano, vegano o halal, o di allergie alimentari o di prescrizioni alimentari.  È una bella proprietà e il Onsen è sorprendente. Le camere sono spaziose e confortevoli. La diffusione del buffet di cena è enorme, ma non c'è niente di caldo per i vegetariano tranne la pizza lukewarm. Anche il riso semigreggio, il tofu di Mapu e le soppe comprendevano pesce, maiale o pollo.  Quando ho chiesto qualcosa di caldo per cena, il cuoco ha preso le noccioline di sopa fredde, ha aggiunto acqua calda e sale, e mi ha dato quelle. Per la cena il giorno dopo, ho parlato col direttore di mattina e mi è stato promesso di verdura di Mapu tofu, soppa Miso e altro. Ma quando andammo a cena, l'unico piatto speciale che ci era stato preparato era le noduli di sopa fredde con acqua calda, sale, e funghi. Quando ho detto che il manager aveva promesso altri oggetti, il personale di servizio chiamava il manager, e c'era un grande disaccordo tra il manager, il cuoco e il personale del ristorante, e il personale della cucina si rifiuta di fare altro. L'hotel è nel mezzo di nessuno. Anche se si prende un taxi alla città più vicina (Nagiso), è Yen 50.000 un modo di fare il prezzo di arrivare lì e tutto si chiude alle 17.00. Quindi, o scegliere un altro hotel o portare il vostro proprio cibo con voi.
