Need to walk a bit from the train station but there is a shuttle bus from here to the train station. Customer service was great and enjoyed the bath outdoor in rainy weather.

[Fufu Hakone: A Luxurious Mountain Escape] Fufu Hakone is located in the quiet Gora region and seamlessly blends modern comforts with traditional Japanese ryokan hospitality. The property stands out for its unique dual hot spring experiences, providing private balcony baths with clear mineral water in every suite alongside communal pools filled with therapeutic, milky-white sulfur volcanic water. We had a wonderful one-night stay at Fufu Hakone on 28 May 2026, which included a Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. [Getting There] Our journey began with a midnight flight from Singapore, reaching Tokyo at 9:00 AM. From there, we caught the Narita Express and changed to the Tokaido Shinkansen to travel to Odawara, before making our way up to Gora. We arrived at Gora Station close to 3:00 PM to find it drizzling. Unfortunately, local taxis were completely unavailable and we could not find any vehicles on the GO app. Fortunately, we managed to get into the shelter of the tourist information centre. The lady on duty was incredibly helpful, assisting us to call Fufu Hakone for a pickup and directing us to the exact area where hotel shuttle services operate. We highly recommend that you do not attempt to walk to the resort from the station, especially in poor weather. [Arrival Experience] The moment we arrived at the resort, we were met with warm smiles and greetings. We were guided to the reception area located on the second level of the front building and seated comfortably in the lounge, where we were served hot tea. A designated staff member came over to complete our check-in process and then escorted us to our room in the guest building. The level of attentiveness was outstanding. The staff member explained every single detail in the room, including the layout of the suite, the private balcony onsen, the water temperature controls, the television, and the mini-bar, which is entirely complimentary. They also carefully went through our dinner order, taking down all of our personal preferences, likes, and dislikes. [The Suite] Our suite, named 楢の芽 (Naranome), was located on the third level. Rather than trying to describe the beautiful layout in words, I will let the accompanying photos speak for themselves. The room features two super-single beds that are incredibly fluffy and soft, with each bed featuring two plush pillows to guarantee a perfect night of sleep. The resort provided both pyjamas and a two-piece samue yukata for our stay. The pyjamas are strictly for use inside the room, while the samue yukata is intended to be worn when exploring the public areas of the property. [Dinner and Breakfast] Both the Kaiseki dinner and the breakfast were exceptional. Because many of the exquisite dishes feature seasonal ingredients that change throughout the year, please refer to my photos for a visual look at what was served during our stay. [The Ultimate Onsen Routine] To make the most of the dual hot springs, I highly recommend this routine: - Welcome Soak: Start with the light and refreshing clear mineral water on your private balcony to gently wash away travel fatigue before dinner. - Dinner and Rest: Enjoy your Kaiseki meal, then return to your suite to digest comfortably for a few hours. - Nightcap Soak: End the evening in the communal baths. The thick, milky-white sulphur volcanic water melts away muscle tension and deeply relaxes the body before sleep. [Areas for Improvement] While the stay was mostly flawless, there are two minor points to note: - Toothbrush Set: The provided toothbrush set was rather small for my liking. It felt like it took ages to finish brushing my teeth. You should definitely bring your own if this is a concern for you. - Room Attire: The two-piece samue yukata was not comfortable at all. It is not mandatory to wear it around the property, but we chose to do so anyway to fully immerse ourselves in the traditional ryokan culture.

L'hotel si trova accanto alla stazione della funivia Laozi, a 3 minuti a piedi. Ma tieni presente che questo tratto della strada ha due tratti di strade sterrate, che non sono molto amichevoli per i turisti con le scatole. La funivia di Dafeng si fermerà. Puoi prendere un autobus da Sounzan e scendere alla stazione di Laozi, a 2 minuti a piedi dall'altra parte della strada. Ma questo autobus accetta solo carte IC o contanti. Convenient and cosy pick to stay for travelling in Tokyo, 20mins to Haneda airport and a few mims walk to kamasaki station

The main reason to book this hotel is the magnificent view from the room. It is genuinely breathtaking, and waking up to such a view is an absolute pleasure. Unfortunately, that is where the positive aspects of my short stay at Kamakura Prince Hotel come to an end. The problems began the moment we checked in. We arrived a little after 5 p.m., only to discover that the swimming pool—the second reason I had booked this hotel in the first place—would be closing at 6 p.m. Unsurprisingly, we had no chance to use it that day. The next issue we encountered was the complete lack of even a basic command of English among the front desk staff. And yes, I am perfectly understanding when people do not speak English. However, there is one important exception: hotel employees whose job is to interact directly with international guests. Once we got to our room, it was clear that it had seen better days. The furnishings are beginning to show their age, although the room itself remains perfectly pleasant. And, of course, it is impossible to overlook the spectacular view of the ocean waves. The following morning, we decided to make another attempt at using the swimming pool. However, the staff tried to explain that we needed some sort of tickets to enter the pool—even though access was included in the room rate. This was the first time anyone had mentioned these tickets to us. After about five minutes of confusion, we were eventually allowed in, only to discover that the pool was freezing cold. Unsurprisingly, after swimming a couple of laps, we got out. As a final touch, the hotel also gently reminded guests that slippers were not to be worn around the property and that tattoos should remain covered at all times. While I understand and respect that these are the hotel’s policies, they certainly added to the rather rigid atmosphere of the stay. During check-out, the front desk staff did not ask how our stay had been. Instead, the entire farewell consisted of the remarkably concise: “No extra pay, goodbye.” A little on the dry side.

La posizione è buona... ma la stanza non è per niente pulita, il bollitore è disgustoso... vedi nella foto e il bidet del water deve essere svuotato e il tappetino non so cosa sia quel giallo... l'odore di fumo nella stanza è molto forte... ma mi piace la colazione gratuita con pane e caffè gratis... il resto è buono...

Posizione: molto comoda. C'è una fermata dell'autobus proprio davanti alla porta. La posizione è un po' alta. Ambiente: è così bello, un giardino in stile giapponese con un senso di storia. Di fronte all'hotel c'è il Giardino Penglai e vari fiori sbocciano durante la stagione del Primo Maggio. Servizio: appena entri, ci sarà un maggiordomo che ti aiuterà con i bagagli e il servizio è individuale con un sorriso, il che è molto buono Igiene: Nonostante abbia una lunga storia, è ben protetta e le strutture non sono vecchie, pulite e confortevoli. Servizi: ci sono sorgenti termali pubbliche separate per uomini e donne, così come sorgenti termali private. C'è anche un'ora di bevute la sera e la colazione giapponese al mattino è piena di rituali. Un'esperienza molto soddisfacente L'hotel può spedire i bagagli alla stazione di Yumoto, il che è molto comodo.

Il server della signora ha mostrato una mancanza di calore e amicizia e non ha fatto affari con noi durante i nostri pasti. È stato disgustoso vedere che fornisce un servizio più attento ai clienti locali giapponesi, che ci ha resi inconveniente. È una delusione per i turisti riportare una simile esperienza. Tuttavia, al contrario, il personale del conteggio sashimi era eccellente. Ci ha salutati con un sorriso amichevole e ci ha resi riconoscenti. Il sashimi che ha preparato era eccezionale e veramente delizioso, meritando un alto lodo. Overall, a pleasant stay. The bed is extremely comfy. Having three pillows is a plus. Compared to the conventional hotel in Tokyo, this hotel is relatively large for this standard. The view from the hotel is decent. It’s wished that there are washing machines available. One critical thing is that the room is quite dusty though… You can see the dust floating under the light at the entrance. As for the transportation, it’s around a 3-4 minute walk from Shin-Takashima station (an extra 210yen if you depart from Yokohama station). You can also walk from Yokohama station, but it takes around 15 minutes (and drains quite a lot of stamina if you are carrying your luggage around) The area around the hotel is quite modern but not overwhelming crowded (maybe there wasn’t a concert at KT Zepp Yokohama during my stay at the hotel). There is two 711 nearby and a small-scale food court as well. Other than that, there are not much to shop nearby. In a nutshell, a good hotel with a quiet but not intimidating ambience at night. A less dusty room would be highly appreciated. The location is good enough if paying a 420 yen-round trip everyday for one stop from Yokohama is not financially burdening to you.
