Hotel a 4 stelle in Sicilia, Italia

Questo hotel mi piace molto. Si trova nel centro di Taormina, con una splendida vista sul mare e sull'Etna. È pulito e igienico. La stanza è spaziosa, il servizio auto è comodo e il balcone è ancora più sorprendente! Mi piace particolarmente lo zio che lavora alla reception 🧍♂️ Gestisce i problemi in modo ordinato e meticoloso e offre un servizio cordiale senza perdere il suo contegno e la sua eleganza. La prossima volta prenoterò sicuramente di nuovo questo hotel.

Not possible that this is a 4 star The staff were very nice, and generally the hotel was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was really good and staff helpful. But the condition of our room was not suitable, there was no bathroom ventilation and there was black mould throughout the room. We arrived on a day with bad storms and power cuts so just went to bed and left it when we arrived, but we stayed 3 nights and it got worse and worse throughout, we couldn't believe that anyone was letting people stay in the room so we kind of assumed all the rooms were the same and it was jsut a problem with the hotel being older, plus the mould was so obvious there is no way this wouldn't have been noticed by the hotel. There was a strong smell of bleach when we arrived, so its obviously a known problem, but I dont think they should then be putting people in that room. I mentioned this when checking out and offered to show photos, but the lady on reception said she would send someone to go look (there was mould on numerous walls, and if it smelt of bleach on arrival I assume they know this if cleaning every day so dont see why they let people stay in the room anyway?) The access to sun loungers/ reduced rate beach which is mentioned at booking isn't explained, it is a 45 minute walk each way and you still have to pay for the sunbeds. The bus leaves the hotel once a day but again this wasn't explained, so we just went to the beaches and took our towels down on the people's for free rather than hiring sunbeds a long way away. Some things in the hotel were really good, staff, terrace area, breakfast but the room condition is not suitable and I wouldn't recommend, there are a few 4 star hotels in the area so I'd suggest an alternative, though other 0eolle around the hotel seemed fine with their room so maybe we just had a bad one? But then if there is a bad room with mould I dont think they should be providing that to people and charging full price.

Io e la mia compagna ci siamo voluti regalare un viaggio in Sicilia, tappe Palermo, Agrigento e Catania. Ad Agrigento era impossibile non andar a vedere la Valle dei Templi, allora abbiamo scelto questo hotel, siamo rimasti entusiasti su tutti i punti, la struttura è eccellente ma forse le persone che ci lavorano lo sono di più, gentilissime ed estremamente cordiali. Hanno saputo rispondere con competenza a qualsiasi domanda e poi la cena, che dire, ottima, non mi immaginavo che il ristorante di un hotel fosse così! La cura nelle pietanze servite è sicuramente da 10, hanno un cuoco o cuoca oltre ogni aspettativa, ripeto non solo nel cucinare, ma nel servire, nel consigliare, nel raccontare e spiegare le pietanze, il tutto non si limitava a degli ottimi cibi ma era condito anche da quel sapere che i gentilissimi camerieri hanno saputo raccontare a dei semplici commensali. In futuro torneremo da voi

Not a hotel, more like a Bnb with limited service October 2025 We booked Mia Terra expecting a hotel — but it turned out to be more of a one-man bed and breakfast. From the start, nothing went smoothly. We had decided to take up the host’s offer of an airport shuttle (not cheap), as one of us only had one evening in Palermo and every minute counted. The shuttle arrived 15 minutes late, and when we finally reached the property, no one was there to check us in, causing yet another delay — even though the host had personally arranged our transport and knew our arrival time. The host then offered excuses that didn’t line up with the shuttle driver’s story (which btw, the driver didn’t even know our destination — we had to guide him — and only accepted cash, which we weren’t told in advance.) Check-in was confusing and disorganized. Despite several text messages from the host to confirm our room setup (which should have been clear from the booking), he had still assigned the wrong rooms and once again found excuses, incorrectly blaming the booking platform. When we asked him to fix it, he was reluctant but eventually agreed — behaving as if he were doing us a favor — though he did offer free breakfast as compensation, which we didn’t need. Since there is no staff at the property. The host promised to respond to messages “within minutes,” yet replies often took hours. The whole experience felt like a single person trying to run a hotel alone — and it shows. To be fair, the rooms were clean and comfortable, although in one of them, the shower faced the bedroom through a glass wall, so you had to shower in the dark for privacy. Overall, the service and professionalism fell far short of hotel standards. If you’re expecting the reliability of an actual hotel, look elsewhere.

Esperienza deludente 🫣 Ho avuto un soggiorno piuttosto spiacevole presso gli *Appartamenti Rosa Dei Venti* a Trapani. Innanzitutto, la situazione del parcheggio è molto ingannevole. Viene pubblicizzato come ”parcheggio gratuito vicino alla struttura”, ma in realtà all'arrivo vi verrà consegnato un biglietto da visita con il nome di un parcheggio situato a 3 km di distanza, in una zona industriale oltre il porto. Offrono un servizio navetta gratuito da e per il parcheggio, ma preparatevi ad aspettare. Anche se concordate l'orario di ritiro, probabilmente dovrete chiamare e chiedere ”Dove siete?” quando sarà il momento. Per quanto riguarda l'appartamento in sé, purtroppo, era tutt'altro che accogliente. L'edificio non riceve quasi mai luce solare, quindi l'ambiente è buio e freddo. Di notte congelavo sotto una coperta sottilissima. La finestra del bagno si apre sulle scale comuni, quindi si sentono le persone che entrano ed escono, e persino i rumori provenienti dai bagni vicini, il che non è proprio piacevole. La posizione è centrale, ma questo significa anche molto rumore proveniente dalla strada. C'è un bar proprio sotto le finestre. Sono stato fortunato perché era un giorno feriale e chiudevano verso le 23:00, ma non senza il rumore dei cassonetti e delle persiane sbattute. Le conversazioni delle persone al piano di sotto si sentono facilmente all'interno della stanza. A dire il vero, l'appartamento era pulito, che è probabilmente l'unica nota positiva che posso menzionare. In sintesi, se soggiornate a Trapani solo per un giorno o due, vi consiglio di prenotare un hotel, qualcosa di più accogliente e meglio gestito. E a meno che non viaggiate senza auto e abbiate intenzione di trascorrere tutto il tempo in centro città, questo posto potrebbe non essere la scelta migliore. Per me, è stata un'esperienza complessivamente deludente.

La Chicca Palace Hotel was a wonderful experience! We loved it from the very first minute that we walked in! 🥰 It has a very playful and colorful ambience and lots of light! We were welcomed super friendly by Giovanna, had a very nice chat, and were helped with the parking that turned out to be quite convenient and almost right in front of the Hotel entrance with the use of an App that Giovanna recommended us to download. Giovanna also gave us a great recommendation for dining which we followed the next day and were very happy with. Our room was beautiful and super clean as was the bathroom (sorry no pics) and the view from the balcony was as you can see on picture #2 & 3. The tree on the left was fantastic! 🌳 And on the left side behind the tree there was a Café that had the best coffee granita we had during our stay on Sicily! 😋 We spent two nights at La Chicca. The breakfast place was super stylish - you can see on the picture, and the breakfast itself was simple, yet very typical for a Sicilian breakfast and completely satisfying. Definitely made us happy as well! I like it when there are fruits and eggs and yoghurt as well ... After the first night, we took the ferry to Lipari, one of the Eolian Islands. It was an amazing day! In the evening, after a delicious dinner at Ristorante Panzakina - Giovanna's recommendation - we returned to the hotel, had a fun and long evening chat with lovely Giovanna, and were invited to have a Grappa together ... A perfect day! Actually, two perfect days at La Chicca in Milazzo on Sicily! ❤️ We are quite positive that we will return ...

This hotel was kinda still in baby shoes, only seven rooms were ready for guests, but it was extremely nice! Very inviting entrance area, nice breakfast place, comfy room, practical bathroom, ... Everything was super new, super clean, the towels smelled goooooood, ... We also had a parking place outside in the courtyard (sorry, again forgot the pix 🙃) Even a bubbly welcome mini bottle 🍾 with a pop! was waiting for us in the fridge and two champagne glasses 🥂 on the table! But I must say, the best was Alberto, the owner!!! He amazed us! He was super SUUUUPER kind and so warm-hearted and helpful ... Unbelievable! He sent us a list via WhatsApp of the most important things to see in the area, how to get there, where to eat, where to park in case the car was needed to get somewhere (which was useful the next day when we went to discover the Valley of Temples) ... The list was very well-prepared, everything was thought of, and we used it right away to choose our dinner place and the place for our ice cream 🍨 afterwards ... Alberto even had a Spotify list of more than 87 hours of music for the guests to enjoy! What a grand idea! And good music taste ... 🎶 Next morning, it was the breakfast that took our breaths - all kinds of Sicilian specialties arranged beautifully and with love (here I did not forget to take pictures!) - it was very delicious and we wished to have had space for more food ... 😂 I can very warmly recommend this hotel! Really! I think, we'll be back!!! ❤️

L'albergo è in una posizione buona, di fronte al mare ma non troppo lontana dal centro, il parcheggio a soli 10 euro è molto comodo, per ciò che è concerne alla colazione sia il dolce che salato vanno bene sia per varietà che per gusto inoltre cosa non banale la sala è molto ariosa con accanto la piscina (che è attiva dalle 9:30 del mattino). Sia lo staff dell'hotel che del ristorante sono stati disponibili, spiace che il ristorante al quarto piano non sia aperto e questa comunicazione non l'ho letta, ma senza dubbio è una mia mancanza. La camera comunque è di giuste dimensioni ed ha un balcone sul mare quindi ottimo, il letto mi è sembrato abbastanza comodo. Credo che il rapporto qualità prezzo dell'albergo possa starci, ce qualche nota negativa, confermo che il condizionatore fa un po' di rumore, magari per qualcuno può risultare ”invasivo”, nella nostra camera il pulsante dello scarico era ”poco funzionante” dovevi girare il tasto e poi premerlo per tirare l'acqua. Grazie comunque a tutti per l'ottima ospitalità e la tanto cordialità riservataci.

Penso che la valutazione della location vari a seconda dello scopo, ma per me è stata positiva. Gli ampi spazi aperti in periferia mi facevano sentire bene. L'hotel era nuovo e non ci sono stati problemi. Il personale è stato molto utile e sono stato grato di poter fare una gita di un giorno a La Valletta.
