We arrived in Xijiang and were immediately met with such a kind surprise—they upgraded our room for my birthday, which truly set the tone for our entire stay. We were on the third floor with the most wonderful view, looking out over their little water feature and the village beyond. Our balcony, complete with a tea set and two chairs, quickly became one of our favorite spots. Sitting there, especially in the evening, felt magical—like we were nestled among the stars overlooking the town. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the viewing platform and easily accessible down into the main village. Arriving was also incredibly smooth. As first-time visitors to China, we were quite nervous navigating trains and logistics as English speakers, but the hotel staff stepped in early with clear, thoughtful guidance. From the very beginning, they were attentive, responsive, and genuinely kind. When we arrived at the North Gate after taking the shuttle into the scenic area, a staff member met us and carried both of our bags up the hill and stairs to the accommodation. This was such a thoughtful gesture—especially because the terrain can be challenging. (For future travelers: if possible, avoid bringing heavy suitcases—but if you do, you’ll be very well taken care of here.) Check-in was seamless, and our room was extremely comfortable with all the amenities we needed. They provided water, soft robes, and made communication very easy via WeChat. Breakfast was also a highlight—we opted for the Chinese breakfast, which was light, healthy, and a perfect way to start the day before exploring all the incredible street food in town. We especially loved the communal living space—a cozy café-style area with a balcony overlooking the village. It was such a peaceful place to sit, have tea, and take in the views both during the day and under the night sky. They also had everything you could need: a coffee maker, dishes, mugs, and even fresh spring water, which was a lovely touch. The warmth of the people here truly made the experience unforgettable. The housekeeping staff were so kind, and the younger staff members were incredibly helpful and attentive. It really felt like being welcomed into a home rather than just staying at a hotel. And the little cats around the property made it even more special. On our departure day, we were running late for the last bus, and one of the younger staff members carried my very heavy bag down the hill and practically ran with it to make sure we made it on time. He stayed with us until we were safely on board. That level of care and service is something we will never forget. We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you, thank you, thank you again to the family and the entire staff for your kindness and for taking such wonderful care of us. You made our short stay in Xijiang an absolute pleasure and a weekend we will remember forever.

This hotel is the nearest airport hotel that I have ever stayed in China. The room is spick and span. The room alloted to me on the eighth level allows me to see the airport terminal, the observation decks, airport train station and flights taking off from the airport clearly. I take home the free razor and toothbrushes. Overall, I am very happy with my stay at this hotel but the hotel restaurant is closed at night and the receptionist is not around to take room orders. I ate durian bread at the hotel cafe near the concierge for lunch. I will stay here for sure again in October 2025.

Un hotel dallo stile repubblicano molto caratteristico. Abbiamo effettuato una prenotazione temporanea, ma c'è stata una vera sorpresa. Ci sono cheongsam gratuiti da provare nella hall e la sera è disponibile anche il porridge a tarda notte. La stanza è pulita e inodore, nella camera familiare c'è anche un cavallo a dondolo, ci sono anche souvenir e i giocattoli per bambini possono essere portati via! Anche i bicchierini per bambini, gli spazzolini da denti, lo shampoo e i prodotti da bagno sono molto premurosi. La colazione ha molte varietà e ha un buon sapore?

L'Hotel Shengfeng è stata la nostra prima tappa ad Anshun e ha segnato l'inizio del nostro viaggio di 10 giorni nella splendida provincia di Guizhou. I booked this hotel as I had read good reviews. Indeed this B&B is impressive. The room is very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay there. There is even a bathtub next to the window with a view. You will need to contact the hotel owner prior to arrival at the village so that a porter will meet you at No. 6 风雨桥, which is located about 100 meters where the shuttle bus drop you at the entrance to the village. You will not be able to find your way to the hotel as the entrance to the hotel is rather hidden away. The two young chaps who picked us were extremely polite, cheerful and eager to serve. They carried our luggages where we walked to reach the station of a golf cart type of vehicle. You board the vehicle and alight at the first stop up the mountain (see picture 6). The simple breakfast fare of home-cooked noodle soup with minced pork, hard boiled egg, sweet corn and sweet potato was delicious. The soup base looked bland but it was very tasty. The location of this B&B is superb as you can walk down the slope to reach the village center in 10 minutes. Tip: we took the golf cart vehicle and travelled uphill and alighted at the end (Pastoral Sightseeing area) where there is roundabout for the vehicle to loop back to the terminal. It is recommended to alight here where you will see beautiful vast green pastures and lotus flowers were in bloom. You can then wait for the sightseeing bus (your entrance ticket would cover four sightseeing bus trips) at the opposite platform and it will bring you to the top viewing platform to see the whole village lighted up in the evening. To return to the hotel, you then take the sightseing bus back to the Pastoral Sightseeing area. From here you wait for the golf cart vehicle to transfer you back to the hotel. How I wish someone had posted these information on this Trip.com review platform as it was a bit confusing on how to take the different vehicles in the mountain. Lastly, thank you to the owner of this B&B for making our trip a memorable one.

Greentree Eastern Hotel is the largest airport hotel in Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, located at AC Park. It has four towers. Check-in is at the fourth tower. I thank the receptionist for reserving an aircraft-flying-view room at the third tower. Focal length of an aircraft taking off from Guiyang is 200mm to 400mm above. I choose to stay at Greentree Eastern Hotel because the hotel does not charge room key deposit and it is the newest airport hotel opposite the Guiyang airport Terminal 3. I also want to test plane-spotting at this hotel. Besides, the nearest place to enjoy lunch and dinner is of less than one minute walk from the hotel, also at AC Park, and I get to enjoy extremely cheap Guizhou cuisine. I am very happy that I have selected the right airport hotel. During my vacation at Greentree Eastern Hotel, two incidents happened. Firstly, the receptionist told me that to print my boarding passes, I need to forward the online boarding passes via WeChat for the hotel to print the boarding pass. However, I explained to the receptionists that I have difficulties in using WeChat after registering an account. One of the receptionists helped me forward one boarding pass to his email address and from his email address to the hotel printer on Friday. I got the first online boarding pass in black and white. On Saturday morning, I attempted the same but the other receptionst-on-duty refused to help me. The other incident is at the hotel restaurant Bellagio (鹿港小镇). There is no restaurant staff to take the breakfast vouchers. Therefore, many guests have taken advantage of eating breakfast at the restaurant for free and before 7.30 am, many breakfast items were snapped up. I hope that Greentree Eastern Hotel can provide better printing service and enforce the rule that a restaurant staff should be at the reception desk of the restaurant to collect the breakfast vouchers. Other than the above, I will stay here again for plane-spotting purpose if necessary.

Consigliatissimo! Abbiamo soggiornato qui ad aprile con i nostri figli e tutto, dal villaggio di Zhaoxing Dong a questo hotel, è stato così accogliente e memorabile! Un viaggio che ricorderemo per sempre! Il proprietario è originario dello Yunnan. Lui e tutto lo staff sono incredibilmente disponibili, gentili e cordiali! La comunicazione è stata chiara prima del nostro arrivo. Ci hanno contattato su WeChat, ci sono venuti a prendere alla stazione ferroviaria e ci hanno portato i bagagli in hotel. La signora che prepara la colazione ogni mattina prepara una zuppa di noodle deliziosa e il melone hami è dolcissimo! La colazione viene servita sulla terrazza panoramica e la vista al mattino è serena, dato che il paese è ancora tranquillo. L'hotel è stato persino così gentile da prepararci una ciotola di zuppa di noodle quando i nostri figli non si sentivano bene una sera. E la signora che prepara la colazione mi ha accompagnato personalmente in un negozio locale che vende shampoo alle erbe fatto a mano per favorire la salute dei capelli! Sono rimasta molto colpita dalla sua gentilezza nel condividere i segreti meglio custoditi del paese. C'è una navetta verde gratuita che parte ogni pochi isolati in città: è stata molto utile quando si viaggia con bambini che si stancano facilmente camminando.
