It is a pleasure to stay at this hotel because of its cleanliness and the services it provides. Despite the fact that the property is old and needs some renovation, I am still happy to leave a very good review. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to Matsumoto station. Additionally, it offers complimentary onsen access at another hotel, with shuttle bus service included. Hotel guests should make full use of these. Reminder: To ensure your seat at the onsen, please make the reservation by 9am every day. I will stay at this hotel again when I visit Matsumoto next time.

Ho fatto le procedure di entrata prima del bar, ma quando sono entrato all'ingresso, il personale della stazione sorrise, sono stato chiaro e chiaro, e posso completare le procedure con comodità. We had a wonderful stay at Mercure Nagano Matsushiro Resort & Spa. The hotel has a perfect balance of comfort, relaxation, and authentic local charm. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive from the moment we arrived, making check-in smooth and stress-free. Our room was spacious, clean, and offered beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Beds were comfortable, and the amenities were thoughtfully provided. One of the highlights was the onsen (hot spring)—a truly relaxing experience after a day of exploring Nagano. The spa area was clean, well-maintained, and never felt crowded. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant exceeded our expectations, with a great mix of Japanese and international options. The variety and quality of food made every meal enjoyable. The location is also excellent for sightseeing. Being close to Matsushiro Castle and other historic spots gave us a deeper appreciation of the area, while still being a short drive from Nagano city center. Overall, this resort is perfect for both families and couples who want to enjoy comfort, good food, and a true Japanese hot spring experience. We left feeling refreshed and would happily return again!

The staff was very helpful and professional. Before our stay, I inquired about shipping our luggage to the airport, and as we checked in they had information for me for when I needed to bring my luggage down. Also, I didn't need to do any of the paperwork (as I did at Karaska Hotel in Tokyo). The staff took care of everything for me. All I had to do was pay for it. The hotel is connected to the train station via the Midori market place. From the second floor of the hotel we accessed the Midori market area where we purchased a lof of our omiyage(gifts for friends). The train station had about 4 floors of stores attached to it. We had breakfast at the train station -- a small udon stand. The location was very good and I would definitely book here again. The train station has a pedestrian bridge on the second floor that connects to the Don Quixote across the street. 2 km away is the Zenkoji Temple, where there is a shopping street and a large Buddhist temple to visit. Our room was cleaned every day and they were very conscientious and very careful. They left a note saying that any cups with liquids are left as is just in case. There was three of us sharing a room with two singles and an additional bed. The room was spacious even with three of us sharing. There was a little table with two chairs on the side.

The room was large and we could see the suwa lake. The beddings were prepared by staffs and breakfast was also good. We could also enjoy the onsen downstairs. Also they let us check out an hour later. Perfect experience

Compared to Prince West, The Prince is much quieter and cozier. The room comes with a kitchen and the bathroom is spacious. Our room was on the first floor which opens directly to the outside, so when it snowed my daughter ran happily outside to make a snowman. There was a lounge serving drinks and wines, which all guests could enjoy, what I appreciated the most is the library setting with books to read. Service was phenomenal, the reception and all staff members were helpful.

La posizione non è così vicina alla stazione Nagano, ma è ancora operabile se non porta bagagli pesanti. Il colazione è tenuto al piano superiore con vista sulla montagna.

A very cozy hotel, around 10-minute walk to Karuizawa station. All amenities provided. The Spanish restaurant is👍. Both breakfast and dinner are😋😋.There is a happy hour with free drinks and snacks every night👍👍👍. The staffs are helpful and friendly. It will be perfect if the lighting of room can be a brighter.
