Indonesia: hotel con bar nella provincia di Sumatra Settentrionale

We stayed at JW Marriott Medan for several days to allow our elderly grandmother to rest and recover following her leg surgery. While the purpose of our visit wasn’t leisure in the usual sense, the experience highlighted what truly defines a great hotel: not just its facilities, but the service culture behind it. From the outset, our stay involved a number of special arrangements, from shifting booking dates, providing in-room breakfast service as our grandmother couldn’t access the restaurant, and attending to several ad-hoc requests. Across every touchpoint - reservations, front desk, concierge, lobby ambassadors, housekeeping, and the restaurant team , the response was consistently attentive, flexible, and genuinely warm. What impressed us most was not a single interaction, but the consistency across departments. It reflects a deeply embedded service culture and strong leadership, where standards of care are clearly communicated and upheld by the entire team. This is what transforms a hotel from simply offering well-maintained rooms and branded facilities into delivering a personalised guest experience marked by grace, efficiency, and empathy. Simply the best hotel in Medan! My family and I are sincerely grateful to the entire JW Marriott Medan team for turning what could have been a difficult trip into one defined by comfort and care.

La stanza è molto spaziosa. Le strutture sono una delle migliori con tutto bene attrezzato. La cortesia del personale è molto apprezzabile sempre attento alle nostre esigenze. Abbiamo ordinato una sala da pranzo e colazione al ristorante Spoon era davvero buono. La posizione dell'hotel può non avere molto da fare intorno, poiché la maggior parte delle attrazioni sono piuttosto un viaggio lontano. Ma in generale, era un bel soggiorno e avrebbe decisamente pensato di tornare.

The Staff is amazing and very helpful. Stored my luggage there while I went for a jungle trek. The hotel is centrally located and it is quiet by night. The breakfast is amazing. The hotel room is big and clean. Even though I liked everything at the hotel the only room which disappointed me was the gym. The gym is very small and the equipment is not working properly. I would book my stay with the hotel again. 

Big room with very comfortable beds. There isn't much to do nearby without travelling far but the hotel does have a pool on-site. There are free shuttles to the airport, every two hours, and hence is a convenient spot to stay if you have flights.

We had a pleasant stay overall. The room was very clean, though a bit small for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety, and the rooftop café was a nice place to relax, although the food and drinks were a bit overpriced. The resort layout feels a bit compact since it’s built on terraced land. One thing we missed was the cozy, local village vibe that Tuk Tuk is known for—the atmosphere here felt a bit more generic. Still, considering the limited similar-level options in Tuk Tuk, this resort is a decent choice and I’d consider staying here again.

La camera è spaziosa e pulita. Piscina piccola e morbida. Il colazione ha bisogno di molta miglioramento: le bevande sono troppo dolci, l'area da mangiare è troppo piccola e la media del gusto del cibo al meglio. La posizione è prima: 2 grande supermercato, starbucks, e facile da andare ovunque.

La camera è enorme e super pulita.Venga con bagno e doccia in un cubicello diverso. Absolutamente posh. Il colazione è sopra e oltre. Mi piace davvero il cibo, perché ha tante varietà diverse e il colazione serve anche sul piano superiore dove la vista dell'ambiente di medano è parte del pasto. È solo un'incantevole! Sarei venuto a questo hotel se avessi visitato la medan in un prossimo futuro!

Room is clean with all amenities including a safe box but is small. Some distance away from major happenings except the malls( Cambridge/Sun plaza), which also need 15-20 min walk. Breakfast is not good. Parking is provided though.

Had a very great time staying at Labersa Hotel. It’s very recommended when you come to visit samosir
