Staff was perfect .. everything was perfect in this hotel

We had a very bad experience during check in. Despite explaining that we were very tired & hungry (as it's already almost 8 in the evening), and we just need to check in immediately & have dinner; the staff at the reception denied our confirmed & paid reservation at trip.com. The staff knew that we were very tired, and we even offered to guarantee reservation with our credit card (just so we get the room & can have dinner); but he insisted to keep us waiting until he can get the response from trip.com. After waiting for so long, he said that still no responses from trip.com and he just asked us to wait forever. I got really upset after a long argument with him; and i have to strongly argue with him to give us room & we paid with our credit card for a new reservation. WE NEED A ROOM! I showed him the amount I paid for the Seaview Room charged in USD. (I just realised the next day that he charged me the wrong amount instead of calculating it to USD amount with the correct convertion). So i was charged a wrong amount as I was too tired to check how much he charged me. After a long argument & waiting, he finally gave me the room key; and said sorry for the waiting. They said that they will upgrade the room as an apologies. Just when we were in the room, I found out that they DID NOT upgrade the room. That's exactly the room I booked at trip.com; just I had to pay again with my credit card with a much higher rate! I was to tired to argue with the staff, so I no longer care after calling them saying they didn't upgrade us! This staff didn't even try to change the room; after we said this is not an upgrade. We PAID for this room category at trip.com. Nobody apologies for these so many mistakes from the staffs or management. When we checked out, the manager asked me how was our stay? He was not even aware that WE HAD ISSUES that they denied our paid & confirmed booking! Trip.com finally settled this issue with the hotel, and the hotel returned our overpaid credit card charged. Trip.com apologies a few times, they made many efforts to call us a few times. But the hotel & the management acting as if nothing happened! Is this really how a 5 stars hotel service? Luxury what? They treated us like a homeless person begging for room! So UNACCEPTABLE! I have never experienced staying in a 5 stars hotel with such a BAD service like this! This is the worst in our history of travel! This place must keep their act together! Learn hospitality BETTER! Overall, we were very disappointed, & this place is far from Luxury Collection, it's a CHEAP collection!

Everything was good and ok except that when I arrived to the hotel around 10:00 pm no body was there I had to go next door to the pharmacy to ask if the reception was open or if I had to call someone to check in , the pharmacy employee had to go inside the hotels office to find someone after 15 minutes someone came in

Shell Luxury Camp is an idyllic oasis set against an otherwise harsh desert landscape. Waking up to sunrise right outside the camp is genuinely breathtaking. The cosy “shell” accommodation delivers a true five-star experience, with exceptionally comfortable bed linens. Service was prompt, staff were attentive, warm, and professional. Hot water availability is limited to specific time frames and was only lukewarm during winter. To their credit, the front desk did remind guests, which helped manage expectations. Although the camp is relatively new, signs of wear and tear are already visible. Broken floor tiles and damaged toilet fixtures detract from the overall experience and should be addressed promptly to maintain the camp’s luxury positioning. The campsite would benefit from improved upkeep. Contrary to the hotel description, reaching the campsite directly by private car is not always possible, especially when roads are covered with sand. Hotel transfer is required. To avoid miscommunication, where language barriers may exist, it would be helpful for the camp to request guests’ vehicle plate number, colour, and model in advance, in addition to sharing live location. The room rate is undeniably steep, but overall, I had a memorable and luxurious desert stay at Shell Luxury Camp.

Il nostro soggiorno nel campo Shaheen è stato un'esperienza incredibile, anche se siamo stati trasferiti al campo Hasan Zawaideh a causa della bassa stagione. Poiché i campi sono vicini a vicenda, e probabilmente hanno gli stessi proprietari, la transizione è stata senza fine e siamo stati molto benvenuti all'arrivo. Dal momento in cui siamo arrivati, l'ospitalità era eccezionale, e il personale si è assicurato che ci sentissimo a casa, offrendo delizioso tè, danza tradizionale e musica vivente, creando una veramente immersiva esperienza beduina. Se stai cercando un soggiorno accogliente, autentico e memorabile a Wadi Rum, consiglio fortemente Shaheen e Hasan Zawaideh Camp. Mi piacerebbe tornare per un'altra avventura inoltrabile!

Uno dei punti di vista è che l'hotel non si trova nella zona protetta di Wadi Rum, quindi è a circa 5 minuti di auto dalla porta principale. L'hotel ha un qualche partenariato con i beduini locali che possono portarti in un deserto o in una tour di camel, ma è meglio collegare con il beduino locale da solo. Le tende a bullone sono davvero belle, di plastica, vengono con doccia in piedi, lavanderia e un letto comodo. C'è aria condizionata all'interno della tenda. All'esterno della tenda c'è un hammock e alcune sedie. La notte, il tempo nel deserto si raffredda, così abbiamo goduto del telaio speciale di pelliccia fornito nella stanza. C’era un corso fotografico stellare, ma non abbiamo fatto iscriverci. Il cibo era delizioso, dal pranzo con piatti locali e latte dolce, al buffet per colazione, e dal momento che la nostra tenda era lontana dall'entrata, c'era un bug che ci mandava in camera. Ma il giorno del check-out, dopo aver chiamato la ricezione, il bug ci ha preso un po' più di quanto ci aspettava. In generale, abbiamo goduto di stare nel deserto in queste tende di lusso, e il prezzo era affidabile.

Questa volta mi prendo cura principalmente del signor Zid, ma tutti i dipendenti, compreso lui, sono molto amichevoli. La posizione è buona, cibo ricco, posso passare un viaggio pieno. Se vieni a Jordan Wadilam, questo è il tuo miglior posto!
