Hotel a 2 stelle in Canterbury, Nuova Zelanda

The twizel town is very beautiful and the place was at the right place. However, the room we choose wasn’t that great. I know it’s a small town but reception area was closed by 7pm so you need to make sure you arrive before time else need to message the check in time.

I really enjoyed staying at Dusky Lodge. Friendly staff , cosy room , nice communal areas and the bonus of a spa pool . Excellent value.

Great location right by a beautiful lake — perfect for the scenery. The accommodation was generally clean and comfortable, and the bathroom in particular was well-maintained. The kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, a toaster, and microwave. However, some of the cookware could use a proper clean as there is burnt residue on them, and a few of the stovetops don’t work reliably. Cleanliness could be improved overall, as there was some rubbish under the bed. The walls are quite thin, so noise can be an issue — you can hear people walking up and down, as well as doors banging from guests coming in and out of rooms. It’s worth noting that guests need to bring their own towels, make their own beds on arrival, and ***** the sheets before leaving. Overall, a pleasant stay in a fantastic location, with just a few practical improvements needed.

It was a wonderful stay at the accommodation. Check in is super easy and they will give you the instructions beforehand. The hosts have been very nice and helpful. Anything you need it’s just a call away and they will get it right away for you! It’s a good place to stay if you are traveling to Lake Tekapo the next day too!

La posizione è vicina al centro della città, ma è un po'superficiale, quindi potrebbe essere un po' stanco con bagagli pesanti. Ci sono un piccolo giardino e anche alcuni suini e conigli guinesi. Può essere un po' freddo, ma meglio una volta che il riscaldatore di parete si è riempito un po'.

Very sociable in the public areas communal rooms are set up so you can still have ypur own privacy charging easily accessible including from the top bunk and ideal location.

Room is a bit cramped when full, but when I stayed we had people come and stay for one day only. So not too full. I can’t state enough, I love the idea of turning historic jail to accommodation, which is incredible idea. Kitchen is clean and huge, each bed has their own storage for pantry things in the kitchen, cozy corner is wonderful, books and puzzles! Love loveee! They have two best employees; pumpkin and onion🐈⬛🐈 If you like walking, it’s just 30is min to city centre and there where botanical garden is.

タオルは借りれる＆タオルの洗濯もしてくれて、最高の宿でした！室内は広く清潔でした◎ 喉が渇いた際は、一階のバーで水をいただけて助かりました。 共有キッチンでは調理もできました！ また近くに来たら泊まります！ オーナーさんやスタッフさんも皆笑顔で優しかったです。ありがとうございました！
