Scegliere la sistemazione giusta è fondamentale per qualsiasi viaggio. Questo hotel ha superato le mie aspettative. Il soggiorno è stato fantastico, l'atmosfera era meravigliosa e la sera abbiamo chiacchierato e giocato a carte nell'area comune, stringendo nuove amicizie. La camera era pulitissima e la ragazza alla reception è stata molto accogliente e disponibile nel consigliarci le prelibatezze locali. Mi sono sentito come a casa. È anche molto vicino al centro storico, il che rende gli spostamenti comodi e offre un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Lo consiglierei sicuramente ai miei amici!

There is stains around water tap and shower tap area. In this sense, there is improvement on cleanliness. The location is very good, near to international Bajaar. Overall a good stay, just give remarks that the hotel can improve on the cleanliness on the corner area.

L'hotel è moderno, la camera è ampia e luminosa, e la vista delle finestre è grande, soprattutto la vista notturna è bella.
Il bagno e i prodotti da letto sono incolori. Ci sono seri pulizie ogni giorno, anche l'angolo è pulito.
La signorina Reception è molto brava, e raccomanda anche la strada per il cibo e la partita intorno.

Camera compatta, ma molto confortevole e moderna. Numerose opzioni di ristorazione nei dintorni e l'elegante centro commerciale Wanda Plaza proprio di fronte. Personale alla reception molto disponibile. Alcuni viaggiatori stranieri potrebbero trovare un po' difficile trovarla perché ci sono diversi piccoli hotel nello stesso alto edificio: basta camminare intorno all'edificio per trovare l'ingresso (in cinese sopra la porta).

Extremely well located, and great value for money. Happy staff who are very welcoming, and the room had everything it needed.
My only concern was some extremely noisy guests in another room, which continued from midnight until 6am on one of the nights. Admittedly, I did not raise this to the staff as it felt too late to do so, so I cannot comment on how well it would've been handled. I'm sure they would have helped to stop it. It does mean that the soundproofing isn't totally perfect, but everything else was very good.
Enjoyed my stay, will return if I come back to Kashgar.

We had an amazing time in Kailash Hostel! It is pretty close to Illi Bus Terminal. It has a really nice common area with lots of details. The owner Toni is a really open and kind person! He welcomed us with open arms, made very good coffee and even invited us for breakfast. You can see that he really wants his guests to have a good time and he also connects people in the hostel. We would totally recommend staying here!

This hotel was nice, comfortable, and quiet, all at a very reasonable price. We especially appreciated the washing machine in the room, which was super convenient for us as travelers.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, even though they didn’t speak much English. They made sure we had everything we needed.
We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a pleasant and affordable stay!

L'ambiente, il servizio e le strutture sono tutti molto buoni. Anche la proprietaria è molto diligente e pulita. Ci sono armadietti. Consiglio questo posto quando si visita la contea di Tashkurgan. Ci sono anche molti posti dove mangiare nelle vicinanze. Ho dimenticato di scattare foto. Spero di avere di nuovo l'opportunità di visitare la contea di Tashkurgan.

TTravis and ElishaWow! What an amazing place to stay and how lucky we were to find it. By far the best place we stayed in China. Mrs. Li (the owner) was so genuinely nice and caring, and we felt like part of the family staying there. One of my favorite things in Kashgar was hanging out with her and her family in the evenings. She always invited us at night to hangout in the common area where she would make us tea and share her fresh and dried fruits with us. She was really good at using a translator app, so we were able to have a good conversation with her through that.
She has a great little family. Her son speaks good English and was also very nice. She had a young daughter who also speaks English, but is more shy with it (though she will sing you a Taylor Swift song..she has a great voice). They have 3 cats and the youngest one, little tiger, is just the sweetest and the friendliest cat I have ever met.
It was such a good and warm feeling to stay there. We definitely wish we could visit again. A home away from home. And we were treated so generously in more ways than we can write here.
Mrs. Li asked us right away if there was anything she could help us with, without us having to ask, which we really appreciated, and she took the time to sit down with us to go over our plans. She let us store our luggage for 3 days and walked us out to help us get a taxi when we departed.
While it was the family that made it simply amazing, some might also be interested in the following information.
The location is great. On a quiet street. Close to the big mosque which is a good landmark to use to find the area. And of course close to the old city. It's also really close to the biggest supermarket we have found thus far in China (we have to admit it was nice to get a few ”luxuries” from home like cereal and hot chocolate).
The guesthouse is cute and has a Central Asian feel. The shower works great and is hot. We were there in the winter, and the room has heat if you needed it. Mrs. Li was able to arrange a driver for us to go to Tashkorgun and the Karakorum Highway, which was super helpful. The place was nice and clean.
Thank you so much Mrs. Li! You will be a highlight of our visit to China and will be remembered in our hearts forever.

PS: when we get home I'm going to try to write up a bit about our trip on Tripadvisor because I couldn't find anything about Kashgar on trip advisor since covid, and some things have changed, so I thought it might be helpful for fellow travelers, so look for that.

YYung NuggI extended my stay at a 6 bed dormitory.
There is a girl who speaks english at the reception.
Location was perfect for me, near the metro station and a busy street with clubs and restaurants.
You can use the laundry machine for free but doesn’t include detergent. You can either buy it at a local store(probably 6CNY for a small bottle) or vending machine in the hostel for 2CNY.
Dryer wasn’t powerful enough, ended up running it for a fee hours (you can just dry it in your room since the air is quite dry).

When i arrived in the middle of the night, the owner(or senior staff idk) was drinking and smoking with his friends in the commons. Whilst I was checking in with another staff member, they discussed among themselves where I could be from based on my appearance. As a young woman traveling alone, I found this moment quite unpleasant.
I had booked the 4 people's dorm. They happened to be no other guests in the dorm that night. It was nice to have the room for myself. However, the room had not been cleaned up. My bed had been made, but on the trash was some trash and laying around. The previous guests had also smoked in the room. They had left their sigarettes floating in a noodle pot and the room stinking. I asked for another room. The tipsy owner first denied the room smelled, till we stood in front of the floating sigarettes. There was no other room available, so i slept there.
By morning, the commons looked like a different hotel. There was a friendly and professional lady at the desk who checked me out. She also kept my luggage for the day, which was very convenient.
For anyone who has never been in Urumuqi before, this is not the city center. The hotel is located in a tower close to Ulumuqi train station. It's convenient if you're hoping on or off the train, but you'll need a taxi to get you to part of the city worth visiting.
Overall, I had a terrible experience, but it's probably not how most travellers would experience this hostel. And, it's quite cheap.

L'ingresso dell'ostello è vicino al negozio Tesla, e si deve premere il buzzer, per la guardia di sicurezza aprire la porta per voi.
Poi, dopo aver scritto il tuo nome nel libro degli ospiti, vai al decimo piano dell'ascensore.

Il personale parla poco in nessun inglese, ma è molto utile.
Cercheranno di risolvere i vostri problemi, finché siete pazienti con il software di traduzione.

L'ostello è relativamente pulito, tranquillo e ben situato,
eccetto che ci possono essere altri ospiti locali, che sono alti e a volte fumatori nelle altre camere.
Oltre all'ostello è un bel centro commerciale e con molto da mangiare, nel cortile alimentare al terzo piano.

EemdethuongQuesto hotel può accogliere stranieri. È a circa 1 km dalla stazione ferroviaria Kuqa che è camminabile. Sono arrivato molto presto (6AM). Ho preso per sempre il check-in perché la ricezione aveva un'esperienza minima con gli ospiti stranieri e ha chiesto troppe domande (ripettive), e ha controllato il passaporto ancora più attentamente della polizia di Kuqa che ho incontrato. Anche lei ha chiesto i marchi di altri paesi (non si è sicuri perché e cosa deve fare con l'iscrizione all'hotel). Ho avuto un precedente visto cinese che ho ripetutamente detto che era vecchio e ha puntato al nuovo, ma lei ha continuato a tornare a lui e a chiedere più informazioni di nuovo e di nuovo. Dopo quasi 30 minuti, potevo venire in camera, ma la ricezione veniva ancora a colpire due volte per altre domande. La seconda volta dovevo dare un segno gentile che volevo dormire un po', perché avevo un'occhiata per fare qualche ora più tardi. Non so se questo sia protocollo per Kuqa. Finora l’hotel più “questioning” che mi aspettavo solo di accadere a Hotan. Ho negoziato di controllare in anticipo perché avrei controllato molto presto il giorno successivo (4.30AM) per prendere il treno a Kashgar. Ci è voluto un po' di tempo per negoziare, ma è stato possibile alla fine. La pulizia è così, non il migliore ma accettabile. Non è stato un soggiorno memorabile, ma la stanza sarà sufficiente per il vostro comfort. Vorrei solo che il processo di check-in sarebbe stato più veloce e più semplice. 100rmb deposito al check-in che sarà restituito al check-out.

UUtente ospiteThis accommodation was in an excellent location at the edge of Liuxing street area, near many restaurants and shops. It is near public transport and a main road. The host was super nice and helpful. We chatted quite a bit using translate apps since I did not speak Chinese and he didn't speak English. I booked a single room with a shared bathroom, which was very small and simple, but the host kindly upgraded me to a room with an ensuite for no extra charge. The building is old and could benefit from some renovations, but is clean and well-kept, and it has an old-fashioned charm to it with large, lovely arched windows. The rooms were very basic but sufficient, and the room with the ensuite has a good amount of space. There were nice large windows (although my view was blocked by some signs on the awning). There were curtains but light came through so I recommend bringing a sleep mask, and sound can come from outside so ear plugs also recommended. I also extended my stay for a few nights and the host was very accommodating. I was allowed to use the washing machined which the host helped me with. He also allowed me to leave my bags in the reception area after I checked out. There was wifi. There was tea/water at reception. It is great for someone on a budget. I included photos of the reception as I forgot to take photos of the other rooms. I am very grateful to the host and would stay here again.

La strada di cavallo e di Penas consigliata dal capo è fantastica.Dopo il giorno di gioco, è molto piacevole massaggiare su un massaggio.E'molto imbarazzante lasciare questa casa, un'altra comoda a casa.Abbiamo iniziato ad aspettare la prossima volta.E' fortemente raccomandato a tutti.

And they also picked us from the train station. We cannot speak Chinese but they really try to communicate to service us. The room has a great layout that is perfect for a family and it is clean.
