location of hotel was situation right above a mall, it was very convenient to get to the qilou old quarters as well. I opted for daily breakfast where they will send me my breakfast with the in-house robot right outside my room. Communications with the front desk was also very efficient as well as there is a built in comms button in your room. Daily housekeeping was done for me and everyone was very pleasant and nice to interact with. Only one note is that the walls are rather thin so if you're a light sleeper you should bring earplugs. I slept well, im a heavy sleeper :D

V clean room. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful during my stay especially when I have to extend the stay due to typhoon. The gong lue was also very useful. Good food around projector TV and smart toilet is a plus point. Awesome and will stay again if I visit again.

It can take 6 to 15 minutes just to go up or down, especially during peak hours. However, we were not aware that the activities we wanted—like swimming in the ocean or taking a short, affordable yacht trip—were much farther away. You cannot swim in the ocean anywhere near Kamei or Atlantis due to safety restrictions. 🌊 Plan Your Activities Wisely If ocean time is important to you, plan ahead: • Head to Wuzhizhou Island for diving and proper beach activities • Look for yacht trips or water sports in other parts of Sanya • Enjoy the hotel pools and walking areas nearby instead of expecting a beach experience 📝 Final Thoughts Kamei Hotel is a solid, practical base for travelers who want comfort and convenience near Atlantis without the premium price tag. It has quirks—slow elevators, distant ocean activities, and a maze‑like parking garage—but with the right expectations, it offers good value and a relaxed atmosphere.

The place was hard to find. There are tonnes of shop lots at the bottom of one entrance, and the other entrance had a large open area with stairs that goes up. The security guard I asked did not recognise the name, and there is no obvious signs that I could pick up. (I cannot read mandarin). I dont think there was any other way aside from contacting the person via the app. Even if you found the entrance, there is no obvious reception area. We had to ring the contact person on the Trip.com app, and I had family who could speak mandarin to help guide the rest of the process. He is helpful and quick to respond. He brought us through a metal door, to a dark alleyway with lifts inside. If we weren't in a group of seven, I would have worried about my organs at this point. There was a bit of a juggle with my cousins and my side of the family. So I ended up staying in the THREE BEDROOM APARTMENT. The layout of the three bedroom apartment (located on the 18th floor) that we ended up in is similar to the two bedroom apartment with the lounge carved up to create a new bedroom. apartment is quick to respond. The two bedroom apartment (located on the 25th floor) felt bigger and cleaner, and had better views. From here onwards, it is the review for the THREE BEDROOM APARTMENT: We ran out of toilet paper and had air-conditioning issues. The contact person is quick to respond and solve our issues. The beds are hard for my body that is use to a softer version. There is no daily cleaning services that suits us. They supply toothbrushes, shower caps, body and shampoo wash in the bathroom, and disposable towels. The towels can be reused during the time you are there, but they are meant to be thrown away so they dont have the responsibility to rewash the towels. We didn't use the swimming pool on the third floor as we were too busy. It is RMB4 per use. They also supply a singular giant bottle of water. I think it was 5 litres. The air conditioning units in all three rooms work. Our view is a live view of how Sanya people live in Sanya, families in another building, the locals sitting on their balcony on a hot day. You get a couple of tags to tag into the building, out of the building, into the lift, and into the bedroom. There is also a code you can type in to get access into the building. When we left, the contact person helped us with getting a taxi to the hotel. It went through his account and we paid him cash rounding up to the closest amount. He did not want any more for helping us. He was extremely helpful. This is one of the cheaper choices in Sanya - and my rating is for the price and location.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The best part is the location. You are on a main road with many shops, restaurants and bus stops as well as the beach. I also liked the pool despite it being a little too shallow. The view from my balcony was also great. One problem was cleanliness. Never walk around the room barefoot cause your feet will get dirty. It also looked like the crockery and kitchen utensils were not cleaned before I arrived. As you can see some of the utensils were dusty! Hot water was another issue. Obviously you need hot water to properly wash your hands and dirty dishes. However I only had hot water in the shower, not in the kitchen nor bathroom sink. This leads to my next issue which is service. I told the staff about the lack of hot water on the Friday and they said they would fix it at some point during the day while I am out with my friend. I come back at roughly 9pm to find out there is still no hot water. On Saturday morning I remind them to fix it before I go out again, hoping when I return I will have hot water. While I'm at the beach I miss a call from them. Turns out instead of fixing the issue, they want to move me to another room with hot water. When I return from the beach I saw the message and told them I am ready to move to the new room. But they replied saying I was too late and they gave the room to someone else. (If I did take that room, does that mean the other guest would have my room and have to suffer with cold water instead of me?) Instead of taking responsibility for not providing hot water or trying to fix it, the staff tried to blame me and said I can't get hot water cause I was too busy to answer their calls. When I pushed back on that comment their next excuse was that a lack of hot water is a common problem in Hainan? But then they said they would check if there was a free room with hot water the next day (Sunday). However, they never contacted me about that again so I just gave up trying. If they couldn't fix the problem, they could have at least offered me compensation but they didn't. This experience made me feel dismissed and unimportant as a paying guest. To sum up, I wouldn't stay here again based on my experience. If they were to give me a room with hot water in the shower AND in both sinks, that's great. However, I would still have to deal with dirty floors and cookware + tableware. It's definitely not the worst place I've stayed in but regardless it didn't meet my standards so I still wouldn't stay here if I return to Sanya. Disappointing.

Мы заселились в эти апартаменты после проживания в обычном гостиничном номере и были приятно удивлены. За такую доступную стоимость получили действительно просторную, чистую и комфортную квартиру. При заселении нам даже предложили на выбор два варианта апартаментов, чтобы мы могли выбрать тот, который больше понравится. Отдельно хочется отметить отношение администратора. На все наши просьбы реагировали быстро и доброжелательно. Мы несколько раз просили дополнительные полотенца — нам ни разу не отказали. Также нам подробно показали, как пользоваться бытовой техникой и газовой плитой, поэтому с проживанием никаких сложностей не возникло. Администратор всегда был на связи и действительно старался помочь. Расположение очень удобное. До моря идти около 10 минут спокойным шагом. По дороге находятся супермаркеты, кафе и другие заведения, куда обычно приходят отдыхающие со всей бухты. При этом сами апартаменты находятся в комфортном месте, откуда удобно добираться и до пляжа, и до остальных районов города. Недалеко расположена автобусная остановка. Общественный транспорт стоит недорого: примерно за 6 юаней с пересадкой можно добраться до многих интересных мест, рынков и торговых центров. Администратор также посоветовал нам хорошие места для покупки сувениров, благодаря чему мы смогли приобрести всё необходимое по нормальным местным ценам, а не по завышенным туристическим. По нашему опыту, покупать сувениры непосредственно в бухте невыгодно — там можно сильно переплатить. Мы остались очень довольны проживанием. Просторные апартаменты, хорошее расположение, адекватная цена и внимательный администратор. С удовольствием рекомендуем это место другим путешественникам и сами с радостью остановились бы здесь снова.

I was originally planning to stay at Roots for just two weeks, but I fell in love with the place and ended up staying almost a month. I surfed nearly every day, thanks to the longboard I rented from Shuiku and Xiaoxiao, the owners of Roots, at a very affordable price. They also gave me invaluable advice on the best surf spots along the coast, which I could easily explore thanks to the scooter equipped with surf racks that they helped me rent. We even surfed together several times, which made the experience even more special. The hostel itself is beautiful, spotless, and peaceful, perfectly located in the village. It’s just a few minutes from charming cafés set among the rice fields, great local restaurants, and only a five-minute scooter ride to the beach. But what truly made my stay unforgettable was the atmosphere: relaxed, warm, and incredibly welcoming. Sueco and XiaoXiao treated me like part of their family. They invited me to share meals with them (a special mention for the delicious coconut chicken hotpot!) and to join them for drinks at some nice bars with their friends. We even celebrated Chinese New Year together! I met wonderful people there, both Chinese and international travelers passing through, with whom I shared memorable dinners, countless surf sessions, unforgettable evenings, and truly meaningful conversations. If you are still hesitating about staying at Roots, don’t. You won’t regret it :)

One of the greatest hotels reservations i have booked recently with a direct access and view to the sea with a glass wall enjoying the seaview during daylight and a night activity on the sea with the fireworks 🎇 Thanks for wome helped us at the front desk. I added a note to organize our room as im visiting for my honeymoon but the didn’t do it im not sure if they have received the note or not however they did a ompensation once they knew it was hour honeymoon moon and gave us some gift 🙏🏻😄 Also taxi car or didi can not go inside to drop off directly next to the hotel entrance however our man called the hotel to help us so they came to take our bags and suitcases all the way to the hotel which I consider a plus !😁 Really recommend to book on the sea hotel you will definitely enjoy your stay

This is a huge villa with a huge pool, the rooms are large and amenities are what are advertised. The only disappointment is that the wear and tear are very obvious. It is such a shame as this villa could be amazing. The rooms are neat and clean, although inside a wardrobe there was mould and a missing clothing rail. Also cleaning of the outside spaces wasn’t great. There was also a room full of junk in the basement rooms, it made it feel like the villa was used for a dumping space, not a space prepared for paying guests to stay. The staff however, were amazing! So helpful and happy to come and sort out any issue straight away. Thank you to all the staff, you were lovely! We really did like our time at this villa as we are only a small family and would come again just for the pool and the lovely staff.
