I had a pretty good stay at Haiko Xizchen Hotel. The hotel is clean, modern, and feels well taken care of. Check-in was smooth, and the room was comfortable and spacious enough to relax in. The bed was comfy, everything was tidy, and the bathroom was clean with good water pressure.
The staff were polite and helpful, though it’s worth noting that they don’t really speak English, so communication can be a bit tricky if you don’t speak the local language. Still, they tried their best and were friendly.
Overall, it’s a solid place to stay—quiet, clean, and good value for the price. I’d stay here again, especially if you’re okay using a translator app.

Great hostel! Excellent location, near many restaurants, shops, public transportation, everything you need. Off the main street so actually quiet for sleeping with windows open. Social atmosphere, great place to meet travellers alike. Staff are friendly and helpful. Nice areas in common area to spend time. Kitchen for guests to use was nice to cook group meals together. Would definitely stay again!

Highly Recommended 100% (even for foreigners) 👏🏻👏🏻🔥: This hotel is one of the best stays I have had since coming to China. At this price, it is simply unbeatable.
The owner is exceptional, very kind, attentive, and genuinely cares about his guests. The reception staff are also friendly and professional. Thanks to this experience, Haikou has become my favorite city in China. The owner even lent me his motorcycle for free to move around the city, which shows how generous and welcoming he is.
The rooms are spacious, very clean, and well maintained. They are cleaned daily, with amenities renewed every day. The bed is comfortable, the environment is calm and peaceful. The hotel is near of many famous place and restaurants 💯✨.
This is truly the best hotel for this price, with an outstanding manager. I had one of my best stay in China here and 100% recommend this hotel 👏🏻👏🏻💯.

La stanza è molto bella, con una buona ventilazione e aria fresca. Puoi vedere il mare dal balcone e l'illuminazione è molto buona. È molto comodo asciugare i vestiti sul balcone. Il materasso è moderatamente morbido e duro comodo per viaggiare. Puoi andare al Big Pineapple e al Summer Department Store in pochi passi, ci sono supermercati e vari snack bar al piano di sotto e ci vogliono solo dieci minuti a piedi per raggiungere la spiaggia.

PPolinaSeverНебольшая двухкомнатная квартира с двумя большими кроватями. Номер уставший, мебель тоже. Но фото соответствует реальности. Небольшой, но комфортный балкон с видом на море (и соседей). Много где на окнах сломаны замки. Все ”некрасивые” фотки в отзывах - правда.
По запросу уборка в номере, смена постельного белья и полотенец. Мы жили здесь 3 недели, 3 раза запрашивали уборку. Уборка самая простая, без средств. Мокрой шваброй собирают пыль с пола, смывают водой с душа грязь на полу в туалете. Из-за отсутствия полноценной уборки и плохой вентиляции, в ванной есть немного плесени.
Очень дружелюбный хозяин. Попросила принести в номер микроволновку - сделал на следующий день. Также попросила дубликат ключ-карт для супруга, чтобы мы могли не зависеть друг от друга.
В номере можно готовить, есть 1 большой вок. Вытяжка и плита работают хорошо. Стиральная машина загружается сверху, стирает нормально (не слишком грязные вещи), и даже пуховик спустя 3 полоскания не пахнет порошком. 👍
Ночами смотрели фильмы на проекторе - в приложении проектора можно смотреть фильмы на английском языке. Сам проектор периодически почему-то терял фокус, приходилось настраивать заново.
С балкона видно ресторан, в котором с 19 до 23 очень громко завывает певец в кафе. 😅
В целом, проживание было комфортным. Спасибо за отдых!

UUtente anonimoI have mixed feelings about this place. The best part is the location. You are on a main road with many shops, restaurants and bus stops as well as the beach. I also liked the pool despite it being a little too shallow. The view from my balcony was also great.
One problem was cleanliness. Never walk around the room barefoot cause your feet will get dirty. It also looked like the crockery and kitchen utensils were not cleaned before I arrived. As you can see some of the utensils were dusty!
Hot water was another issue. Obviously you need hot water to properly wash your hands and dirty dishes. However I only had hot water in the shower, not in the kitchen nor bathroom sink.
This leads to my next issue which is service. I told the staff about the lack of hot water on the Friday and they said they would fix it at some point during the day while I am out with my friend. I come back at roughly 9pm to find out there is still no hot water. On Saturday morning I remind them to fix it before I go out again, hoping when I return I will have hot water. While I'm at the beach I miss a call from them. Turns out instead of fixing the issue, they want to move me to another room with hot water. When I return from the beach I saw the message and told them I am ready to move to the new room. But they replied saying I was too late and they gave the room to someone else. (If I did take that room, does that mean the other guest would have my room and have to suffer with cold water instead of me?) Instead of taking responsibility for not providing hot water or trying to fix it, the staff tried to blame me and said I can't get hot water cause I was too busy to answer their calls. When I pushed back on that comment their next excuse was that a lack of hot water is a common problem in Hainan? But then they said they would check if there was a free room with hot water the next day (Sunday). However, they never contacted me about that again so I just gave up trying. If they couldn't fix the problem, they could have at least offered me compensation but they didn't. This experience made me feel dismissed and unimportant as a paying guest.
To sum up, I wouldn't stay here again based on my experience. If they were to give me a room with hot water in the shower AND in both sinks, that's great. However, I would still have to deal with dirty floors and cookware + tableware. It's definitely not the worst place I've stayed in but regardless it didn't meet my standards so I still wouldn't stay here if I return to Sanya. Disappointing.

Servizio: dopo la prenotazione di Trip.com, il personale mi ha contattato per la prima volta, ha inviato un indirizzo dettagliato, in base alla navigazione, direttamente al negozio!Controlla il giro di filo, la macchina è parcheggiata direttamente nel garage sotterraneo, e poi il responsabile ci ha portati su. Il garage prende un elettrofob, raggiunge il piano della stanza, super conveniente.Il responsabile è molto entusiasta e risponde in tempo. Può affrontare le nostre esigenze alla prima volta, non solo professionale, ma anche attento, può stare in piedi dal punto di vista degli ospiti per pensare e risolvere i problemi.
Ambiente: l'appartamento pulito è alto e alto, sembra una roccia di lusso durante il giorno, e la notte è il fuoco della luce, molto bello!Gli oggetti nella stanza sono posizionati puliti e forniscono elettronica, saldatura, coltelli, biancheria e altri oggetti di giorno, il frigorifero, lavastoviglie e il vento elettrico sono tutti! Più intenzionalmente, ci sono maschere respiratorie di emergenza nel vestito, e la porta è anche con estintori e piogge, che sono rari in altre popolazioni!Il balcone è molto ampio, è dotato di telaio di biancheria e lavatrice di biancheria in un'aria completa.Stando lontano dal balcone, la acqua montana è senza aria!
Trasporti: il popolo è situato nella baia di Pauli Haifeng. Ci vuole solo un chilometro dal mercato notturno di Linqiao e può arrivare in moto per cinque minuti.Da qui parte, sia per la città esente da imposte che per la città di Sanya, e per il surf di posthai Village e Queen Bay, è molto conveniente. Se vuoi fare shopping, puoi andare a Sanya City International Free of Tax CDF. Se vuoi mangiare, il mercato notturno è una scelta, e il pirata sogna di non notturno!
In breve, consigliamo di stare calmi!

NNesnes26I was originally planning to stay at Roots for just two weeks, but I fell in love with the place and ended up staying almost a month. I surfed nearly every day, thanks to the longboard I rented from Shuiku and Xiaoxiao, the owners of Roots, at a very affordable price. They also gave me invaluable advice on the best surf spots along the coast, which I could easily explore thanks to the scooter equipped with surf racks that they helped me rent. We even surfed together several times, which made the experience even more special.
The hostel itself is beautiful, spotless, and peaceful, perfectly located in the village. It’s just a few minutes from charming cafés set among the rice fields, great local restaurants, and only a five-minute scooter ride to the beach. But what truly made my stay unforgettable was the atmosphere: relaxed, warm, and incredibly welcoming. Sueco and XiaoXiao treated me like part of their family. They invited me to share meals with them (a special mention for the delicious coconut chicken hotpot!) and to join them for drinks at some nice bars with their friends. We even celebrated Chinese New Year together! I met wonderful people there, both Chinese and international travelers passing through, with whom I shared memorable dinners, countless surf sessions, unforgettable evenings, and truly meaningful conversations.
If you are still hesitating about staying at Roots, don’t. You won’t regret it :)

GGan Yung ChyanI kept cancelling room stay at Sanya Hua'erxi previously as I am afraid of encountering typhoons. My original plan was to stay at this hotel on 23 August 2025 but I cancelled the room stay because the typhoon shut Sanya down on 24 August 2025 and the high-speed train company informed me that there is no train service between Sanya and Haikou on 24 August. So, two days before I checked-in on 20 September 2025, I decided to re-book the fourth level room at Sanya Hua'erxi after knowing another typhoon will not hit Sanya and Hainan on 21 September 2025.
I thank receptionist Xiao Fang for arranging the room that faces Sanya Phoenix Airport runway. The airport is beautiful at night and during sunrise. The bed is comfortable. The toiletries are sufficient although there is no razor. I am very happy that I manage to spot planes on the rooftop and in the room. There are no dog barks and cock crows after the typhoon. The plane noise is bearable although ear bugs are available in the room.
I was the only guest to eat complimentary breakfast, a bowl of noodles without any fruit. The place to eat appears to be smaller that what is depicted on Trip.com. There are only two rows of tables and the drinks dispenser machine after the hotel entrance.
Sanya Hua'erxi (华尔汐酒店), formerly known as Hua'erxi Beauty Inn (华尔汐美宿), is of ten minutes' taxi ride from Sanya Phoenix Airport. It is located very near to Hinze Hotel. One-way taxi fare from the airport to this hotel costs 24.90 RMB. The hotel does not have its own shuttle van for return airport transfers. The transfers are by private car. Late check-out until 2 pm is not allowed but the guest can still go up to the roof for plane-spotting until 4 pm after storing the luggage at the reception desk.
The rooftop is only open when the guest requests Xiao Fang and other receptionist to open the rooftop. There are no official opening hours of the rooftop.
There are no lamp posts along Fenghuang Road. It is advisable to only walk outside the hotel after 6 am when the sun rises.
