We choose to stay in Swiss-Bel due to our great experience with Ciputra in Semarang which is owned by Swiss-Bel.
Unfortunately, Swiss-Bel Surabaya can't compete with Ciputra Semarang. Both hotels have similar pricing, but Ciputra has a much better atmosphere and amenities.
Swiss-Bel Surabaya has no bar area. The breakfast is served in the lobby where guests check-in and people outside walk by.
The food choice is much less than Ciputra and Swiss-Bel Malang.
However, the hotel itself is good and breakfast sufficient if you don't compare it with Ciputra and Swiss-Bel Malang.
One thing which absolutely needs to be improved is that jam, chocolate paste and peanut paste should be served in cups, not jars where guests have to scoop out the sweetness themselves with a knife or spoon.
This is unhygienic and not tasteful.

This hotel is centrally located with plenty of eateries and major shopping mall Tunjungan Plaza within 5 mins walk away.
The breakfast buffet has a very good spread and the entire hotel was very clean and orderly. The service staff were very helpful and able to converse in simple English. This is a super value for money hotel to stay with the family.

Good location near river and Tunjungan plaza which is a massive mall and loads of places to eat including food courts. Clothing especially from Indonesian stores are good value. Hotel very clean and comfy bed and pillows. Bathroom little small in family room but good to have separate seating area with more space. Breakfast not bad not loads of options but perfectly fine. NB: very very steep hill to get to front entrance which is near impossible for a taxi to climb with a turn as well.

Very low standards of cleanliness.
After checking in, I asked for the floors to be washed because there was dust and small debris everywhere.
Despite this, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was decent.

Situazione nel centro di surabaya, si può andare a nord, ovest, est facilmente - media distanza.
Il cibo è delizioso è solo ok

PPolka13This is actually a VERY COOL hotel. As someone who LOVE vintage things, I really appriciate this place. From their historical front building, their vintage styled room, all took me back to the 90s to early 2000. The NOSTALGIA 🥺. When I was little, my grandpa and grandma used to take me travel and stayed at hotels. So hotels like these have a special place in my heart.
Unfortunately, it looked like they really cut down the budget. Although they gave a very cheap price for their room (not more than IDR 250K including breakfast), on WEEKENDS?? But the towels were not white anymore and felt thin (not like other hotel towels), the sheets had tough spots, and no shower cap. But I loveddd the lemongrass soap and shampoo, and they were in dispensers so less plastic waste.
The breakfast was really sad. It was nice when I stayed here around a couple of years ago. But this time it was worse. Not too many options and looked empty. Really felt like they didn't put much effort. Well, what do you expect for that price? And I understand they might be in a very tight budget.
I noticed they added a ”Mini Zoo” signage. A staff warned me that there were not many animals yet. But I decided to go see it. Turned out it was located in the side of the parking road (but outdoor), there were fishes and a big avian animal (like chicken but different, I don't know what it was). And some parakeets in two separate cages, they were all dead 😭😭 I told a staff and they quickly removed the dead birds. Good idea but poor execution.
But anyways, location was top. Just a few meters across the street, there was a bus stop and you can hop on the Suroboyo Bus to go anywhere. And the hotel itself was in a main street of a hot destination (Old Town Surabaya), with historical buildings complex, also with the chinatown nearby.
I really hope they can survive this economy storm. I really love this hotel 🥺.

La posizione geografica è un po' sotto il vulcano. Le strutture sono molto avanzate. L'igiene dell'hotel è buona. Voglio dire, il servizio è molto importante, siamo 17 a 7: La stanza 22, che stavo per stare intorno a 00, perché il mio piede è stato rotto quando ho fatto il sottomarino il giorno precedente. Ho chiesto alla reception di fare il bagno. Voglio occuparmi di me. La signora della reception mi ha aiutato a portare la borsa medica nella stanza. Mi ha aiutato a mettere le ferite. Molto seriamente, attentamente, le sono molto grato, Il giorno dopo, un signore del personale dell'hotel ci ha aiutato a prendere il bagaglio sulla strada e a prenotare l'auto dalla montagna. Grazie. Il servizio dell'hotel è molto buono. Se c'è l'opportunità, penso che resterò in questo hotel un'altra volta. Grazie ancora per il nostro personale qui.La gente qui è davvero gentile e carina.

UUtente ospiteL'hotel è stato inaugurato alla fine di quest'anno. Le camere sono molto pulite, ma c'è un po' di odore di decorazione e poiché la stanza non ha finestre, sarà un po' soffocante dopo aver chiuso la porta in montagna farà un po' freddo dopo il tramonto.
Il bagno è molto pulito e il design delle decorazioni è abbastanza buono. Tuttavia, l'acqua calda sembra essere di tipo riserva. Dopo il ritorno del vulcano la mattina, una persona ha avuto l'acqua calda per fare la doccia, ma la seconda persona no acqua calda. L'acqua era molto calda di notte.
La stanza è un po' lontana dalla lobby. Puoi chiedere al personale di aiutarti a portare i bagagli al momento del check-in e della partenza. Sono molto cordiali e cordiali (è un po' stancante dopo aver camminato fino in fondo).
Il ristorante dell'hotel è aperto fino alle 21:00 e sembra delizioso.

MMita PWThis is the 3rd time (in this year) I stay at Swiss Belinn Manyar, and I am always satisfied with their services from the front office, concierge, resto, room service n housekeeping staff are friendly, polite and service oriented that make their guests feels well taken care of. No complaints about the room: it's clean, wifi is stable and fast, hot water runs nonstop, and aircon works very well to fight the hot temperature of Surabaya.
Great appreciation to mbak Nia front office staff who always greets us with her big warm smile, makes us feel at home and ensures each of our stay are pleasant and enjoyable. Also, thanks to other front office staff: Shinta, Rizqi, Yoga and others that I can not name one by one.

The breakfast is great, tasty, and the selection is even greater, they have a lot of varieties of Indonesian food. The room is great in size, the floor is clearly swept, the bathroom is clean, the amenities are adequate (bring your own hair dryer bcs the one they have is not as great). But terribly disappointed with the cleaners, I used the spoon and glass on day 1 and they didn't even bother to clean them, only put on the usual spot. I tried to ”tell” them again the next day yet they still haven't cleaned any 🥲🥲

In terms of rooms, we are happy to book a room. We get 2 big beds and in one room, four adults can sleep comfortably.
Toilet is divided into shower cubicle, sink and vanity mirror and toilet bowl. My comment is that shower cubicle is only half closed and it's missing proper glass door. Therefore, shower water spills into the sink and mirror section. When it's wet, the tile is quite slippery. So, walk carefully.
Two breakfast coupons worth IDR50,000.00 each are given for each room. You can have your breakfast delivered to your room or you can dine at the restaurant. The restaurant is located in the building next to the hotel. We were informed that the restaurant is under the same management as the hotel. The food is good. We ordered bubur ayam a few times as it is good. Nasi goreng Jawa is very delicious. There are chicken slices and cabbage slices. It's well cooked and the portion is generous.
What is interesting about this hotel? It has a rooftop restaurant and you can take pictures of Malang city from up there.
