"L'hotel era molto pulito, il personale era utile e amichevole. La posizione era perfetta e la vista dalla finestra era bella. Solo negativo ho avuto è che l'acqua di doccia era fredda e l'acqua è passata solo come un trucco. A parte quello che avevo fatto, e che valeva la pena di denaro, e che certamente rimarrei."

UUtente ospiteL'hotel è in una posizione molto pittoresca, vista sul lago. Le camere sono grandi, con letti confortevoli e prezzi per un soggiorno molto ragionevoli. Dopo aver detto che, il totalemente senza chiamare per sorpresa, inamici e chiaramente insufficiente di un membro del personale alla reception quando siamo tornati all'hotel dopo aver andato alle gare di Newton Abbot, ha sorpreso il soggiorno di notte per il nostro gruppo di 7. In primo luogo, dopo aver servito bevande a due membri del nostro gruppo, che sono arrivati all'hotel davanti al resto di noi, non gli ha permesso di portare le bevande fuori da una veranda, in modo che potessero fumare e non potessero fornire alcuna buona ragione per rifiutare la In secondo luogo, quando il resto di noi arrivava all'hotel a circa 11.30pm il bar era chiuso e si rifiutò di servirci qualsiasi bevanda, anche se noi chiese gentilmente, voleva solo un altro drink prima di andare a letto. Era anche corto, brutto e distintamente insopportabile quando gli chiese di indicarci verso le nostre stanze, dando una parola di risposte e sembrando che tutti noi lo considerassimo un ostacolo. In generale, questa esperienza ci ha fatto rammarico della nostra scelta di hotel e siamo disposti a tornare in hotel in futuro. Un altro influsso è stato che il servizio di colazione era povero e lento, con colazione cucinata che richiedeva 25 minuti per arrivare e molti elementi chiave mancavano e non riempivano a meno che gli ospiti non fossero stati chiesti specificamente, tra cui tazze, sacchi di tè, zucchero e succo d’arancia,

UUtente ospiteI have stayed here before. The price I paid for a Saturday night was £39. The hotel has been refurbishing in stages for a while so it can be pot luck if you have a refurbished room or not. The room was clean and bathroom spotless. Lady who checked us in was very friendly. The only complaint I could say was the room we had phone signal was non existent, could have been warmer in the room but it's between summer and winter and for us it was OK. I like this hotel and for the price you'd struggle to find somewhere as good. Will visit again.

We have been to the cliffden hotel three times and had a club room on the first floor they were nice large rooms but this time we were on the second floor our room was very small and claustrophobic nothing like the photos in the booking . We asked for a different room and the man at reception said see me tomorrow morning and if there's a larger room you can have it. Later on in the day my partner went to reception to book a table for an evening meal for us. While she was booking the table the lady at the reception said there were no other rooms you can have. The barman was very polite nice to chat to. We only had one meal in the evening cod and chips could not find much cod it was all batter. Other meal gammon and chips gammon would be good to repair your soles on your shoes. Go to the local chip shop absolutely beautiful. We used the indoor swimming pool which was nice and clean. The gardens are lovely, and the beer is very expensive. Go to the jolly sailor pub with drinks at good prices. Reception is not very helpful. I can't understand why the hotel puts people with dogs on the second floor because when the dog wants to go to the toilet by the time you get down to the entrance the dog has already peed on the carpets. Luckily our dog can hold her pee and she is small enough to carry.I have followed other people with their dogs and seen it. Overall we were very disappointed with our stay this time.

Our room however, had a weird, stale smell and was off-putting, with no way to ventilate the room by opening the windows, as you cannot open them - A/C is not a natural ventilation. Bed was comfortable, slept perfectly fine, just not nice waking up with the smell, as mentioned before. Breakfast was good, although I’ve had better.

UUtente ospiteI am a frequent returning guest. The hotel is situated at bottom end of Totnes main street. It is a busy hotel and bar, serving food. The building is old with one central staircase leading to rooms. All the rooms I have occupied are very clean, decorated in a tasteful way and the beds are comfortable.. Teas are good quality Tea Pigs a small coffee machine is also provided, plus a bottle of water. I am a coeliac and vegetarian. Eating in other hotels is almost impossible,they simply do not cater for my dietary requirements,thankfully I am guaranteed a delicious breakfast here. One of the most important reasons for returning here is the customer service. The staff here are really approachable and friendly. Any issue you may have regarding your stay, they will do their best to help you resolve. T have stayed in other hotels etc if there aren't any vacancies here but from my experience if you like a relaxed friendly environment, lovely rooms, location Totnes as a base, then this is the place to come . It is also a short walk away from the most beautiful cinema I've ever been in, which is tucked away, along the main high street, My only wish is that more free parking was available . The hotel offers capacity for approx 6 cars at the rear of the hotel. There is plenty of paid parking in main street and nearby Morrisons.

UUtente ospiteLovely friendly place next to the river. Plenty of parking facilities just over the bridge which is approx five minute walk. The room itself is spacious enough although for some may be a little dated. Bed is comfortable with a lovely duvet and pillows. Only downside was the curtains which are not blackout so do let in too much light for me but heyho I still had a reasonable night sleep To get to the room we stayed in, we had to walk up a spiral staircase which for some people, this could be a struggle as the steps have been assembled quite tightly due to space so make the steps on the small side, there is obviously a handrail so coming down side ways helps. Breakfast was continental consisting of fruit, cereal, yoghurt ( which was exceptionally tasty) toast etc. An English breakfast was offered at an additional cost but we preferred this option. All in all a lovely place to stay with friendly welcoming hosts who were on hand to offer advise and assistance should you need it.

LLocal LoitererIt's hard to review this time because booking was moved to the Mercure next door. I understand why but I do prefer the Ibis. NOTE this review relates to Mercure Paignton. Staff friendly and welcoming and though room had everything I needed it was dark. The privacy panel on the window and the dark furniture made it too dark for me. Am not a black and gold person, prefer light and bright. That being said facilities were great, bed very comfortable and show hot and powerful. One downside was TV remote, had a nightmare and needed to 'Google' to work out how to use it. I didnt eat onsite.

UUtente ospiteJust the most wonderful hotel that is reminiscent of an American style motel. The rooms open up to the outside walkways and are clean, comfortable and everything you would want. Despite being next to a main road, the quality of sleep was amazing. There is a lovely bar with an outside seating area which would be great if we ever get some decent weather. There is also a regular bus service outside the hotel for those who want to go an explore Plymouth.
